  1. I had problems with my 06 RSV. Took the fairing apart and applied di-electric grease to the connections, and no more problems for the past year.
  2. I bought a pair for my wife, we rode from Oklahoma to North Carolina last year with them, now she uses them all the time. Makes it more comfortable as she can move her legs around a little. I also bought the arm rests from Diamond T. They are great also
  3. Where did you order the mount from? I need one too. Thanks
  4. When people ask why I don't have a Harley, I tell them I like to ride a motorcycle, not work on one.
  5. Rosebud, Good Pictures, Thanks to you and Buddy for getting this set up. I had a great time visiting with old friends, and making new ones. Hope to see everyone again soon. BoxerX2
  6. Buddy, no apology needed. Sometimes there are gliches that can't be helped. I believe everyone had a good time, and I know I enjoyed seeing all the ones I had met before, and meeting a bunch of new friends. Thanks for all of your efforts BoxerX2:bighug:
  7. They look Great, just ordered 2 of them Thanks
  8. Rosebud, Max, Beverly and Ross are planning to attend See everyone then
  9. Three CHEERS for your son, We could all learn from small children. Give that boy a big hug, and one for yourself as well. You are definately doing something right
  10. Here in Oklahoma we keep rocks in our pockets for days like that. Good Luck
  11. I work a rotating shift, 1 week nights, the next days, nights, days. Body doesn't know when it is supposed to be awake or asleep. I usually come home, take 4 advil, and shortly will relax enough to sleep. Never sleep sound in the daytime, usually couple hours at a stretch. Good Luck, I have been doing this for 26 years and am looking forward to retirement so I can have a life like normal people.
  12. I am thinking of shipping my bike from OKlahoma to Washington state, to be able to ride home after our Alaska Cruise. Who would I ship the bike to? Would a dealership accept the shipment, or who would I ship it to? The bike may be there a couple of days before we retrieved it. thanks
  13. How about a small Venture Riders logo on the left front with Eureka Springs 2008 under the logo, and maybe Venture Riders above the logo. As to shirt color, I prefer anything other than black (hot) or white (I'm sloppy with the food too) Just my thoughts
  14. I'm not ready for the trike just yet, but with the rhumetoid arthritis that I have in my hips, I know it won't be far away. A trike kit will be the only option that will keep me on a motorcycle. It may not be what I want, but I know it is what is coming. I don't want to have to give up the thing my wife and I enjoy so much. We bought the Venture, because we knew down the road we could have it triked. Don't want to have to cage it and miss out on so much.
  15. Having owned a restaurant, I know how hard some of the service people work. Therefore, I do tip very generously, 20% or more. If the service is bad, I still leave a little something, 20 or 25 cents. I want to get the message across that the service was bad, and if I leave nothing, the help just thinks I'm cheap, not that it was any thing they did or didn't do
  16. Freebird, Yes that is the trailer I sell. Pulled mine over 7000 miles this year, and love it. No problems at all.
  17. BoxerX2 because my wife and I really like Boxer Dogs, and hence have 2 of them. Also sell the Rover brand trailer, and our business is Boxer Trailer Sales.
  18. Nice tatoo, I got mine after I turned 50. They artist wanted to know why I waited so long. I told him mine is to honor those serving this country in war, and those we lost on 9-11.
  19. We live in Northcentral Oklahoma. Nice riding around Kay lake and the old river road. Also own property on Beaver Lake in Northwest Arkansas. (Hope to retire there soon). Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri have some beautiful areas to ride. Was told one time it was like the Great Smokey Mountians, only the Smokies were on Steroids. Star Days will be in our neck of the woods in July, so maybe we can meet some of you at it. Ride Safe Max
  20. I am looking at replacing my stock windshield with one from Clear View, and read that most people want to see over the top of the windshield, I currently look through the windshield and like that. Why does most prefer to look over the top?
  21. Try this site for the instructions, don't know the part number, but plan to put one on my RSV this winter go to www.venturers.org then select "Tech Library", "2nd Generation", then "Honda Vent in RSV Windshield" Has directions and pictures
  22. To bad you can't go the 20th and 21st. There is a group of friends going down that weekend. We are going to stay at "Talking Trees Campground" in Heavener Oklahoma and make the ride across on Sunday morning. Talking Trees has camp sites and cabins you could check them out at www.Talking-Trees.com Enjoy the trip
  23. Been there, Done that. Glad to hear you were able to walk away with only some soreness. This is a good testiment to wearing a helmet. We had a friend we ride with go down last year, normally didn't wear a helmet, but thank God she had it on. Now due to her testimony, everyone in our group has started wearing them. I crashed many years ago and won't get on my bike without my helmet. Hope you get a new bike and are back on the road soon
  24. I would be intrested in the HD lights too, if they are available Thanks
