  1. Good thing you missed the house when you dropped it!
  2. Take a 1st gen and they won't be able to read ya!! Been there, been "looked at" and been left alone! (With a hand-held gun!)
  3. D**n, I miss ALL the fun!! I guess you guys could've used some 'lectrical 'sperience down there too!
  4. Heck, after kickin' off the Hydro's (meds) this weekend, I'll get out in my yard and start some work today!! Sunny and 50 by this afternoon! At least get a rake out and get started Dan!
  5. Hey Ruffy, Glad to see you've been thru your surgery, wish I had some helpful pointers for ya but I'm OK down in my legs! Over the weekend I quit the pain meds they had me on as it was just wrong for me as I wanted too many of them and all I wanted to do is just sleep and lay around. Now it's just working thru it to make it better. Good luck and I hope getting up and down is easier. BCBS handled me since this thing started, I'm OK with them but NOT some of the medical non-help that I had during this deal. I guess that's why my left shoulder is still giving me problems! Dano
  6. No problem with the first one, we could always talk about the second one.....
  7. I'm trying to work out the pain in my shoulders and left wrist, they brought new stuff up for me to try. Straps that go over the door that you can use to fake the floor type push-ups, doing bicep workouts and a bunch of other stuff. I work on my legs with a bike-type machine that adds resistance, has an upper rotational device with round handles on it that works great for my arms. THAT's what hurts me everytime I do it! It's worse the next day.... You're giving me the drive to keep doing it Yammer, we're both the same build and I can't see you getting bigger than me!!!!
  8. I got the wife workin' Tuesday night at the high school basketball game and I'll just be there to watch the game........ Gonna have to work harder on it next year
  9. What you all sent out for me, I am sending mine up to your group Marcarl........
  10. Congratulations! Glad she was born safe. You and Jeff spend a good day over there tomorrow, be safe on the trip over and back. Saying hi to both of you.
  11. Same here to everyone on the board, especially those of you who posted here!!
  12. Hi Margaret, been so close to joining them myself recently, I'm so very sorry to hear of this loss for you, it certainly was in a quick manner. All 4 of my grandparents have been gone for awhile so it's only memories for me now. Just able to start typing again, so my first time back on here in a couple of weeks. So sorry to hear and I'm with you in spirit, Dano
  13. I gotta wait MY turn now,,,,, might have to change how I do it, not as much body power or size left......
  14. Thanks everybody for your well-wishes, my quote on hitting this deer is: I HAVE BEEN TO HELL, STARED THE DEVIL IN THE FACE AND I AM ON MY WAY BACK! Thank you to the Lord up above, I feel he has some things I need to do in the future. Thank you all for your well-wishes here and we WILL see you at Maintenance Day! Gotta drive, but we'll be there! Dano
  15. Merry Christmas to all, glad to be back where I can operate the computer! Long way to go for full recovery tho, at least 2 months till work and then limited till Oct. or so of next year. I'll set pics of my bike up here in a couple of days in a new thread, hit a deer on Oct. 25th in the am......... Merry Christmas to ALL my VR friends!! Dano
  16. Hi Guys. Just getting on here for the furst time. I want to thank everyone for their messages and thoughts. Bike is totally trashed and will send pictures later. Got another week or so in the rehab hospital until we are out of here and home. I'm in pain Dano
  17. Just look at Howard Hughes and the Spruce Goose......
  18. I usually just put about a 1/3rd of a can of seafoam in the tank, fill it up and take a 10 minute ride to get the treated gas into the carbs. Of course I'll take the bike out on a cold clear day during winter, so it's never REALLY put away. Another trick, if you've got the Carbon One lift adaptor and a motorcycle jack, lift the bike up off the ground a few inches, lock in the jack and keep the tires off the ground, it'll help prevent flat-spotting the tires. Plus you can clean it up easier!
  19. They run a constant "hot" wire to the horns, the ground goes thru the switch. You want the bike's 2 wires to go to 85 & 86 (doesn't matter as to which color goes where), battery hot to 30 and the wire to the horn goes on 87. 87a has no connection. Run a frame ground to the other connector on the horns.
  20. I guess that's a better story than me throwing a basketball at my dad while he's chasing me down the street, that's why my left earlobe is longer than my right one.... Add any reason you want for him chasing me, it'd probably be true (one time or another) my great Aunt said I was more like a bandy rooster when I was young......
