  1. He's on the Two Wheeled Texans site as well hawking his wares. Damn near everyone of his posts is about how great Amsoil is and he proves it by showing all these tests, that are funded by Amsoil. Unless one planned on keeping the bike for 200,000 miles, one could probably get away with never changing the oil and only changing the filter and adding top off oil for the entire time the bike is owned and suffer no noticeable ill effects.
  2. All owner's manuals for cars list their recommended oil change interval. Most are 5,000 -10,000 miles with regular oil. If a customer is too lazy to read their manual and choose to be ignorant about proper maintenance of their vehicle, let the quickie lubes and dealers make some extra coin. I run Rotella T 15W40 and a Purolator PureOne PL14610 filter and change it around 3000 miles, that's when my transmission tells me to change it by the way it shifts.
  3. If one can reprogram it and change the ignition curves and rev limiters with it, that's a GREAT buy!!
  4. the S has a chrome front end. fork covers and other bits.
  5. I burn Rotella T 15W40 and use a Purolator PureOne PL14610 oil filter. I now run John Deere GL5 80W90 in the final drive because I pick it up from work for free in left over partial bottles. I was running Mobil 1 75W90 because I picked it up from my previous employer for free from leftovers. I change the gear lube at every oil change. It only holds 6oz of oil. That's 3/4 of a cup. That's 5 gear oil changes in 1 qt of gear lube. I don't like clean oil at when I drain it. That means the oil is not suspending the contaminants like it should be. Oil should be dark when it is drained from an engine. If it looks like you could pour it right back in, then it's not doing it's job.
  6. Sue her. If she does end up going to jail, then when she is released, she'll be required to pay it. Or you could just forget about the money and get her out of your life completely once the paperwork is settled up.
  7. Get a lawyer and hit her for everything and get it over with.
  8. Should have hit it going faster. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwcpStxcv2E]YouTube - watercrossing[/ame]
  9. Don't worry about the fuel valve. Many folks just leave it on "Reserve" all the time and never move it. There's no need to turn it to off unless there's a problem with the needles not seating in the carbs or to remove the tank.
  10. Im assuming it was Winchester White Box 115gn FMJ. That's the cheapest ammo Winchester makes for 9mm. Almost all of my 9mm FMJ is CCI Blazer. It's dirty, but it's really cheap to shoot and keep in practice. I keep Hornady Critical Defense ammo in the mags on my bedside stand.
  11. I'd try em, it's not going to hurt anything if they do not work.
  12. what about spybot or adaware?
  13. Bill passed me. His GPS logged him at a little over 140mph and his wife passed us both like we were sitting still.
  14. You'll have to boot up in Safe Mode and run your malware programs. http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml
  15. 130+mph coming across Tennessee going downhill.
  16. That's a good lookin windshield!!
  17. Freedoms work both ways. The same Constitution that allows one to proudly fly the flag also allows these people to desecrate it. If you actually did put your hands on her, Im surprised you're not in jail. This is the exact reaction these people want. The best thing to do is to completely ignore them. Do not even acknowledge them. Just walk right by them and do not look at them.
  18. I believe spoke wheels are supposed to weigh less, but most require tubes. My Roadstar had spoke wheels. I'll never have another set on a road bike again.
  19. 12:34:56 07/08/09 July 8 2009 at least that's how most folks would interpret that.
  20. I have to admit that I'm not familiar with the coils on the Venture. Is there 1 coil per cylinder or 1 coil per pair of cylinders? Im wondering if there is another setup that will work on the Venture and that is easily serviceable with separate coils and wires. Time to look at a parts schematic.
  21. He's probably allergic to asphalt and if he goes down, he doesn't want to develop a rash from continuous contact with the asphalt. I wear a Joe Rocket mesh jacket for summer riding. I don't know how one could wear a regular textile jacket. I'd suffocate.
  22. These NetBooks do not have a CD drive in them. You would have to buy an external CD drive for it. NetBooks are designed to surf the net and some light applications. I don't think you could play action games very well on it. Ive been wanting to get one for sitting in my recliner and taking on the bike, but I can't justify the cost yet. I keep thinking that as soon as I buy one, the next better model will come out and it will be cheaper.
  23. rut roh....Goose will be here soon.
  24. Sprayway Glass Cleaner, no ammonia, under $2 can usually. Then hit it with Plexus. http://www.completeframers.com/Sprayway_Can.jpghttp://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/productimages/OG/0000_Plexus_Plastic_Cleaner-Protectant_and_Polish.jpg
  25. Ignition switch is probably going out. Mine did the same thing, hit a bump and the bike would shut off. Turn the key on and turn the key back and forth to see if the dash flickers.
