  1. Well glad to know you're alright. I agree with Yamaduck on those lights but we all know how that goes as evidence to your mishap Carl. Good luck with the insurance compay too' Larry
  2. Looks like all pipe fittings and tubing there. Guy must of been a plumber. Harley bags are quick disconnect thou whereas ours are bolted on. I'm thinking the guy did this to have a place to put them while cleaning the bike maybe. Larry
  3. Good deal Joe. Looking forward to seeing it and you sometime soon. Been way to long friend. Let the accessorizing fun begin. Larry
  4. Good job there. It's a nice alternative to a full blown paint job or even pinstriping. They're probably relatively easy to remove later if you wanted to as well. Larry
  5. Sad news there. Hopefully the bank will be able to find new owners. Larry
  6. Most trikers I know of and from what I've gathered reading use a rear tire mounted on the front for increased tire life. In fact I did just that this weekend on my bike. As to the reversing the thread backwards I'd say it's probably a 50/50 thing. Some do, some don't do that. Myself I mounted mine in the normal direction for water to flow outward as intended with thread design. With a strong pair of disc brakes on back I find I don't use the front as aggressively as I did on two wheels thus my reason for mounting the tire in the normal direction. Besides the rear tires are more robustly built & having more thread depth when compared to stock front tires. Larry
  7. I rarely need to use the choke on mine unless temps are way down, but then I have enriched the carbs by moving the pilots up to the next number. It seems to have better low end pick up when accelerating this way. Plugs look great too so I know it's not overly rich. I do sometimes pull it out a bit if it's sat any length of time till I'm ready to roll. Larry
  8. I have one similar to what Sling showed with a smaller box on top. Have had it a number of years now and if I recall paid about $600 for it back then. For me it was well worth it. Love those roller drawers too. With the smaller box on top I have a small space left for setting things (parts / tools / what have you) on as I work. While I don't regularly move it I do so occasionally. Those of you who don't do a lot of wrenching the slide draws get the job done and you do save some $$$ Larry
  9. Ah one of the advantages of having more than 1 scoot in the barn eh? Larry
  10. Better get moving quick Dan. MD is fast approaching ya know. Sure wouldn't want ya to miss it now would we? Larry
  11. I just had to replace my speedo sensor. No cruise and didn't check the other features. Needle was dead in it's track. A used sensor from Pinwall cycle did the trick. The plug/connector in the fairing for the spdeeo has 2 connectors under the fairing. A smaller one sits on top of the radio unit and the other can be found following that part of the harness. It'll be on the right side next to the big rubber connectors for the radio. It'll also be the smaller connector of the two there that look alike. Larry BTW I was getting a flash code later with 8 flashes after replacing the sensor. During that time I had an erratic needle which wouldn't give a steady speed indication. I found the small connector on top of the radio had a loose connection. Cleaned it up and was good to go.
  12. I have a new 130 /MT90HB series front tire in the classifieds for sale. I haven't even taken it out of the shipping wrapper. I don't plan on using it now since I decided to go with a rear designed tire up front on the trike. I can bring it to Don's MD for anyone wanting to do the tire change there, change it out for local buyers, or work out shipping arrangements. Larry
  13. Nice looking rig ya got there Peter. A real head turner , conservation starter for sure. Enjoy the ride. Ditto on raking the forks too. Larry

    WTF

    So what's being said? Larry
  15. Pretty much what all have said so far. You'll find taking either tire off easier by just taking some weight off the axles, pulling the axle and then raising the bike high enough to easly remove the wheel from under the fender. As noted that point will be near or at the top of the jacks lifting ability. Then you can install the legs if you have a Freestanding model and set her back on solid ground. If you have a Standard model you can still lower it for peace of mind as long as the jack is resting on it's locking bars. Yea the bike will rock a bit when either wheel is removed but the jack should still handle the job safely. Larry
  16. Joyce & I also want to add in our thanks to Don & Patti for hosting this Meet & Eat. They did a great job making sure all were welcome and had plenty to eat. After most everyone left we headed for a DQ that evening. A nice cool ride after all the heat of the day. I think the temp was around 90*. We just kept moving deeper into the shade. Sunday Don & Monty lead us on a nice country side ride. Sweet. Larry
  17. :sign yeah that:At that price it's stealling it. Better get it before the owner changes his mind. Larry
  18. Yep Go to http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=2692&title=carbon-one-crash-bar-braces&cat=7 I'm currently out of town heading to B2da's BBQ but have a few with me so all I'd need to do is stop by a Post Office and it'd be on it's way. Larry
  19. Here's a link about just how dangerous a routine traffic stop can be in todays mad world -- http://portal.wowway.net/news/read.php?rip_id=%3CD9FQQ3QG5%40news.ap.org%3E&ps=1011&_LT=HOME_LARSDCCL1_UNEWS Larry
  20. Not for me but sure can appreciate the worksmanship that went into the build. Larry
  21. Best wishes for her surgery and for the docs doing the work. Hoping all is a 100% successful outcome. Larry
  22. It'll work with my adapters. Even if the lift arms arm the short versions I add a safety bar to allow them to be used. I don't think I've ever seen any atv/mc jack this cheap before. Is the quality there or is it a cheap knock-off? You're trusting these things on lifting and keeping the bike up while in the upraided position. 850-900 lbs of bike is no laughing matter when it falls from a couple of feet. Larry
  23. Sorry didn't see this post earlier. Anyhow I used the following master cylinder kit ( http://www.jegs.com/i/Wilwood/950/260-5920/10002/-1 ) as the stock master cylinder didn't move enough fluid volume to properly expand the large calipers from the Ford Crown Victoria I used. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v213/21651/345.jpg There isn't any covers available for that area you speak of. I welded in sheet metal to the angled 1" support bar. It was cut out to follow the curved frame. I also welded in sheet metal to the kits side mounting plate to close off that area too. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v213/21651/100_2007.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v213/21651/100_1234.jpg
  24. Best of luck with the docs Don. We took a 2011 Sorento for a test drive recently as well. Was thinking of trading in the 07 Sportage we now have but will hold off another year to let finances get into better shape. We were very impressed with that 2011 Sorento so it may well be at the top of the list once we decide to do a car replacement again. Larry
  25. Sorry Wes it's an either/or selection there, as the dimensions on the two types are totally different. Mainly due to the shocks location/position, also the width. You'll have to buy one for each of the bikes. Larry
