  1. I've never had any issues with the fronts. They did squeal once, so I put some of the anti-squeal on them and that was the end of that. The rears on the other hand, you need to keep a close eye on them, mine was metal on metal after less than 10k miles.
  2. I think most here will tell you that their fans never come on while moving, and only come on when it is very hot outside and you are stopped.
  3. and as a counter, how much to add the fuel injection to the RSV?
  4. bought mine at amazon, it was pretty easy to wire up, all of the wires were under the seat.
  5. plug it and go on. i have been plugging my tires for years with no issues ever.
  6. y/r - yellow with red stripe r/y - red with yellow stripe
  7. I was there last year and sat on one. Really liked the look, seems pretty positive responses from the owners, but I couldn't justify the price tag over what I have.
  8. Goose adjusted my float levels and so far I have managed about another 3 mpg. Happy with that since it only cost me a 12 pack of beer and an afternoon of time.
  9. I used this service when I bought my Time Out Camper. Was the cheapest by far and had no issues. I also didn't pick the cheapest bid, but the lest expensive bidder that had good feedback.
  10. and now you know what parts to expect to be left over

    Gs750t

If it was closer to Tx I would consider it. My first bike back into riding was a 1980 GS110E. That was one fun and FAST old bike.
  12. Here is a pic of what is left over, the disk on the upper left does say "this side out", the ones on the right are the half friction plate and the stock spring.
  13. So I just got done doing this upgrade, haven't had a chance to take the bike out and test it, did start it in the garage and let the clutch work pulling me back and forth. As a worry wort, does anybody know what parts I should now have left over? Looks like I have 4 parts. A wire, the half friction plate, the old clutch spring and two other thin metal disks.
  14. sounds like a bad battery to me, have you tried to jump it yet?
  15. I think if you change only the passenger, its going to look a bit funny, but its your bike. I've got the Corbin dual touring and like it just fine.
  16. Is there another one on the other side that perhaps you can take out and take to the hardware store?
  17. Guy at work just bought a new 2009 Harley Davidson Softail Custom. Was checking it out and it is an ok bike, seems kinda small and plain, but he really likes it so that is cool. Asked him if the dealer was hard to deal with on price and he told be that he got $1500 off of sticker, and I thought that was pretty good...until he told me he paid $19k OTD for it. I was in shock. $19k and it is bone stock, no shield, no bags nothing. Ouch. To each their own.
  18. Just bought my wife a Samsung NC10 netbook. No DVD drive, but she really likes it, very light and long battery life, but only a 10" screen.
  19. Just changed mine in my 05 RSTD, and after all of my research, went with the stock plugs.
  20. They will work, but with the cats they will be more restrictive than the stock pipes.
  21. Set it out in the hot Texas sun and let it warm up. When I had my front tire installed I only heard one pop at the installers. He checked around the wheel and said I was good to go. Went home and pumped it up to 60 lbs and never heard anything. I checked around the perimeter of the tire and it looked on and even, so I have been riding it and checking to see if it is losing any air, and it hasn't for a week, so I assuming that it is good to go. Will continue to check for air, but not worried about it anymore.
  22. Your not riding it enough. You let any carbuerated motor sit with gas in it too long and things will gum up as the gas evaporates. If you know you are going to be leaving it for an extended period of time, put some gas stabilizer in it.
  23. Don't know where you are in Dallas, but at Buckingham and N 1st st in Garland there is a little independent tire shop. They mounted my (rear) tire on the front wheel this weekend for $15. Couldn't balance it, but I use dynabeads, so I didn't care about that.
  24. I bought my BFG from Discount Tire and they mounted it for me no problem. Told them it was for my trike.
  25. I ordered and had installed a Pirelli MT66 rear tire on the front of my 05 RSTD. Had thoughts about changing the tire myself, but a local tire place did it for $15, the deal of the day. Also installed dynabeads. Don't know for what reason, but the steering changed completely. Much, much quicker than the Metzler 880 I took off. I think about turning and I am in the other lane, either the new tire or the mold release compound, but will take some time to get used to. Also took all of the air out of both front and rear shocks, so I am riding a different bike now.
