You mean the Royal Star Tour Deluxe
-
I've got the same bars on my 05 and didn't buy any new cables. You can re-route your existing ones no problem. You will have to drill a small hole for your throttle housing with the new bars and your existing bar end weights won't work.

Second opinion on 26K service?
tsigwing replied to Dave77459's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Question. Does the motor have to be cold when adjusting the valves? On my last bike it said to have the motor cold and not to have been run for 24 hours. -
I'm already booked on an Alaskan cruise for the end of June on Celebrity. Would be great if this was the same one.

On my 05 RSTD I had no problem running passing lamps, vest and gloves and have no problems currently running passing lamps, vest and heated grips. -
Have you tried to call him? That is usually the best way to reach him. Great hitch.

Avon Cobra and Kumho C/T Install....Woohoo

I've had mine on for about 6 months, can't compare it, but no issues other than sticking like glue. -
Lifted from Delphi http://forums.delphiforums.com/vrider/messages?msg=3060.32 Well it has been awhile since this thread was around and I said I would keep you up to date about the wear of the brake pads with the spacer in place. Today, I went and had new Metzlers put on the bike after 18,000 miles on this set of tires. When I put this past set of tires (replacing OEM Dunlops) on I had to replace the rear brake pads (11,000) miles. It was noted that the inside brake pad was wearing a lot more than the outside pad and at an angle. With the help of the mechanic we placed a spacer in the back bolt to help even out the angle. As you will see the wear is only about 1/2 that of the outside pad and with very little if any angle wear. The following pictures are the outcome: See post 3060.34 for the pictures, for some reason I did not get them to load here. Location of spacer (42 thousandths width) Pic 1 and 2 Looking at both brake pads when I took them off the rotor after 18,000 miles: Pic 3 Closer look at brake pads: Pic 4 and 5 OEM inside brake pad after 11,000 miles: Pic 6

. Per Metzler's website: Rear tires can be mounted at front wheels? When producing tires, the top cap is heated with an angle bump on the carcass. To prevent the detachment of the assembled edges the tire has to be mounted (concerning the main stress: acceleration force at the rear wheel or brake force at the front wheel) corresponding to the respective declaration. Therefore the declaration of the driving direction at the tires sidewall is a very important safety regard and has to be noticed absolute. It is not allowed to mount front tires at rear wheels. In case you intend to mount a rear tire on a front wheel it has to be assembled contrary to the driving direction declaration (direction of the arrow at the tires sidewall). Please observe the standards in your country. In any doubts we kindly ask you to consult your dealer.

First ride on my Kumho C/T today 8/15

Gives you much more tread on the front tire, so it should last much longer. Go to Pirelli's website (for a MT66 tire) and check out the tread depth difference for a rear and front tire in the same size. Quite a bit of difference. -
I've got a Pirelli RT66 rear on the front mounted opposite rotation.

If that's the case, then I am never checking mine

The power FROM the battery is as clean as clean gets. The power from the rectifier is another story.

Don't forget about the BFG
-
I think less air will help with that feeling. With my BFG it felt like that with 40 lbs, but with 32 lbs, much better.

I would think that you would have a hard time mounting one, since you have to have a large heat sink to absorb the heat you are pulling out. Also, you would need to distribute the cooling across the entire helmet, and I would think it would probable cause some pretty bad headaches if it was too cool and too concentrated.
