  1. Yep...sounds good. Now I have to find some studs hopefully locally. I will post when done. Thanks
  2. Eck that's awesome. What did you use under teh bib to protect the tank from the studs?
  3. Tx for the replies guys. I will likely get the hopnel and stud it myself. I think it looks better then the others.
  4. I agree with you on this. If he were in the US I am sure he would but in Canada, the Canadian Flag is the highest flown. The US flag is at the same height because she is American but both state and province will not fly at the same height as the Canadian flag. Or at least, it is the understanding I have from talking to him. I am glad all I have to worry about is my Canadian Flag and a couple of provincial flag. His situation all gets too much for me LOL
  5. Where could I get on of those? I have kept an eye on Flea Bay but the only ones there are not studded. I was thinking on adding my own studs but don't want to scratch my tank if the studs rub in any way. Any feedback would be great.
  6. I lowered mine this spring and just love it. I would do it again.
  7. Well, there's nothing wrong with the black one mounted in the fairing. Chrome is not an issue there. Just my 2 cents
  8. I travel with 2 flags. Canadian flag on the right and Provincial flag on the left. This where ever I go. My brother inlaw married a Texan girl. In their yart they fly 5 flags. Canadian and US at the same height, Nova-Scotia and Texas lower then the Country flags but both at equal height of each other. They also fly the Acadian flag slightly lower then the provincial/state flags.
  9. I lowered the front end of my 06 this spring. The best (free) mod I could have ever done. Love it and I would do it again. I might even get the leveling links to raise the rear a bit see if that makes it even better.
  10. Pictures would be nice once you get the second one mounted and the lights.

    5 Down

Saturday afternoon, 10 bikes heading to a wedding. My friend was to be the best man. The groom was also in the pack. He and my friend were wearing their Tux under their leather ready to strip and say "I do". Many more were supposed to be riding with them including myself but some circumstances out of my control kept me away that day. Anyway, coming off Highway 2 (Trans Canada Hwy) they all took a right turn heading towards the church. Coming the opposite way was a cager with his young daughter. Apperently he was taking to her and not paying much attention to the road and his surrounding. A small curve (if you can even call that) was between the cager and the pack. The car kept going straight through the curve. Nicked the 3rd bike's left mirror and handle bar sending the rider towards the ditch. My buddy was the 4th in line and tried to go around the downed bike but the car never corrected his path of travel and kept coming across the center line hiting my friend on the left side with his bumper. He ended up with a borken leg in 2 places, broken arm and nose. Hiting my friend sent the car in a uncontroled spin which caused him to take 2 more bikes out. The second last rider laid her bike down and suffered only scratches and road rash. The last in line had enough time to see it all and took the the left lane and missed the whole crash by inches. All 5 down riders were taken to hospital. 1 was treated and released within hours. 1 was kept on observation with some minor fractures and has since been released. The other 3 including my friend, the groom and 1 other were kept in ICU until this morning. They are now listed as stable. All 3 have internal injuries with many broken bones. One has lost part of his foot which was amputated yesterday. My friend has 2 pins in his left leg and arm. All were members of the 2nd CAV (Canadian Army Veterans). Charges are pending on the car driver. I am just glad no one had major head injuries. I guess what my have saved them is the fact they were coming off a major Hwy exit and were just starting to pick up speed while the car was heading towards an exit and likely slowing down Down in the crash were 1 GoldWing, 2 Harleys and 2 Stars.
  13. Thanks for the input from everyone and for the pictures bummer. My front is lowered by 1 1/8" and I have the 1 1/2" risers. There is a bit of clearance but not much. Looks like my best bet will simply be a good pump and hope for the best. Just for confirmation sake, what is the absolute minimum room I in order to install this balance kit? Cheers
  14. Will this work with the front end lowered? http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=58318&store=&catId=416&productId=p58318&leafCatId=41606 to check the air right now, I have to remove the handle bar. Does this take more room then the regular air valve at the top of the forks?
  15. Goldwing no doubts
  16. Anyone have tried the balance kit on a RSV with front end lowered? The air valve is just a fraction of an inch from the handle bars. And if that won't work, would the pump described above by kbran work on lowered front end? Thanks
  17. I had the same problem but I cut mine down instead of getting a taller one. I had to ride in the fog once (or twice) and couldn't see through it. Now I have no problem in any weather. It is just below eye sight, it still deflect most of the rain over my head.
  18. I would not ride without mine again. If it burns out, I will get another one. It is quite a feeling to see some cager coming out of his driveway and suddenly sees my flashing light. His brakes come on in a hurry even if he had lots of time to get out safely.....most still wait for me to go by. Others in front of me will just pull off the side of the road to let me go by....luv it.
  19. Very nice of you to come back with a proper fix. This stuff sounds great. Where in NS did you get it? Should be available in NB also I would guess. cheers
  20. Tx for tall the info guys. Greatly appreciated.
  21. Don't mean to hijack but my questions are related to Mariner's in a way. To get music/jpg/maps/routes on the zumo, it should go on a memory card if I understand correctly. Is there a max size for the memory card (as in meg)? Is there a size (as in dimension)?...not sure if it is standard sizes Can maps, music and jpgs mixed on the care or should there be a card for each type of files? My zumo has been ordered and should be here in a couple of days I would like to be ready. Thanks
  22. I have a couple of buddies one with a full trike and the other with the Voyager kit, neither had problems with registration.
  23. Heck, look at how much I missed it by....LOL.....my browser bogged and I couldn't post. By the time my post went in I was toooooo late. Oh well, maybe next time.
  24. Sierra-MC ships USPS. Mine cost me $92 Cdn in my hands. This included S & H, Customs fee and all applicable taxes. I thought it was quite acceptable.
