Hey all I got my Dynamics Clusters from Custom Dynamics today but need some help in the hook up. There are no where I can pass the wires that need to connect to the Brake/running light wires in the tail light. I know I have to drill holes (I guess) but not sure whre the best place would be to do it. Anyone with pictures of theirs? Thanks

T-Paw, I also put on a Kuhmo on last week. Best move I have ever done. Everyone kept saying to ride 500 miles to get used to it. Wow, If it gets better in 500 miles it ought to be awesome(er). I agree with you, much smoother and handle better (not sure about Sex Appeal, I am already at the top of the chart LOL) Keep you posted on how it goes in the next few days/weeks

Woo Hoo! Finally got it on. Took just over 100 LBS to make it seat. Now just a matter of putting the DynaBeads in it and mounting it back on the bike. Thanks all for your help. -

First time putting a new one on. It is an 06 and I didn't ride much last year. I have 19,000KM on it. I'll go by MacLean and see if I can pick up a gasket for it when I get across the river this morning. I would have had mine out earlier but I was waiting for my new tire to come it before I really took it out. We should get together for a ride when the weather improves. -

I will have this tonight. I'll keep you posted. Now one more question: Is this gonna cause me problems? When I removed my rear wheel, 1 muffler came out nicely while the other need some persuasion. Once both were out, the one that came out nice had no gasket on it but the other one had a gasket around the pipe that stayed on the bike. Is that normal? Shouldn't there be a gasket on both or on none? Should I even worry about that? Thanks again for all the help. -

I'm picking it up at OK Tire in Ste-Mary's tomorrow and I will have Eric's in Oromocto put it on for me. He will put the tire on the rim but not the rim on the bike. He says he won't be held responsible this way. Do you have your scoot out yet? Once the new rubber is on I'll keep mine out for the season. I'll keep you posted on the tire. -

Ross. I am crossing over to the dardside. I am putting a Kuhmo on it. Bikenut, I had read on those before and could'nt fine anyone around who dealt with those. Now on your link, there was a "search for a dealer near you" button and lo and behold, my buddy 4 miles away started dealing with it. He is the one putting my tire on....I'll make sure he balances with those. I read a ton of good comments on them. Thanks for that -

OK Thanks. -
OK one more question popped to mind. What else do I need to remove from the wheel to get a new tire on it? and get it balanced? Do I need to remove the Disk and any other stuff from the drive side or the brake side of the wheel to get this done? Does the wheel need to be bare of all that is not and integral part of it? Thanks for all the help on this.

Anyone has any experience with this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MOTORCYCLE-TRUNK-ROAD-V-ROYAL-STAR-VULCAN-C50-M109R-VTX_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a1Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem270362274300QQitemZ270362274300QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Not sure if it is even worth it. I just like the light on the trunk. Could the regular passenger backrest be fitted on that? I don't like the one on it. Thanks

When bidding I use BayGenie. With this I can place the highest bid I am willing to pay for but the application will bid the minimum each time until I get to my max or I win the item. And it does that without me being at my computer. Nice program. It paid for itself many times over already.

Thanks Starting to sound like I might be able to do this. So no need of special tools? I do have a torque wrench but never used it. Not needed on wood products LOL

I have been reading all the replies and now I am even more confused then before. It seems out of my league to remove that rear wheel and grease the splines. I now have no idea where to grease anymore. I thought it was only where the shaft and housing attach to the wheel. Do I need to remove the drive shaft to grease in there? How easy/hard is it to get there? I went to see a 1 man bike shop today and he won't put a CT on my bike so I am stock to either do it by myself or just go with a MT for now until I learn more. Sorry guys but I am a carpenter, not a mechanic and this sounds over my head.

I am going to remove my rear tire this weekend. Anything special I need to know on this? Any spring or other stuff will jump out at me and I won't know where it goes after it has jumped Once the tire is off, anything I should do? I think I have read somewhere to grease the spline and I saw different post on this that only confused me . How do I go about doing that? Any good "How To"? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers

I have a 155/80/15 on order and wondering how good it is. I find a 155 or 165 are hard to find in Canada...or at least in the Maritime. I hope it is a descent one. Thanks

How good is that BFG? That's what I have on order for mine.

I am installing my front and rear this weekend. How fast is fast Bummer? Does it look like a Christmas tree. Oooops sorry, this is politically incorrect....I meant does it look like a Holiday tree?http://content.sweetim.com/sim/cpie/emoticons/0002031F.gif Cheers -
Maybe I read this wrong somewhere but I tought the regular size for C/T on the rear of a RSV was 155 or 165/80/16....yours says it's a 15. Am I reading corectly or was I wrong to think it shoud be a 16?

I should move to the US illegaly, pay my fine. When I become legal, move back to Canada illegaly and pay my fine....Keep doing the back and forth for the next 20 years and only pay $8000 in penality along with 12 years taxes out of the 20....that soundls like a great deal.

LED Brakelight, WOW!!
Maritimer replied to Brian D.'s topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I installed a modulator on my headlight. Not brighter but certainly gets the attention. I am just waiting for my Genesis turn signal front and combo running/brake/turn signal for the rear. I should have that on before my first ride in the spring.
