  5. speaking of COLOR> one day last week, i was going to respond to a post by "JEFF, muffinman". i clicked on the "quote button", and started to type my message. now the strange part. my text was accidentally started ABOVE, Jeff's, text, and all of my letters, were turning out PINK!!!!!!!! i have no clue how to change text color, so i just clicked the BACK, button and started all over again! lol just jt
  6. ditto, what Eck, said. surely looks bad, from the CNN, perspective. no fatalities, is always a good thing, but MANY are injured, and MANY more , are homeless. prayers for ALL , being sent. just jt

  14. hey mike. did you have any bad weather in the last week or so? just jt
  15. brian. the "hook end", puller WILL NOT work. look over on the left side menue bar. click on "VR tech" when it opens, scroll down to "engine and drive train". open that section, there you will find a write-up posted by freebird, on starter clutch replacement. complete step by step, with pictures. just jt
  16. ok , folks. i have read in here SEVERAL times that you can install the left side cover/stator cover, with the shifter linkage in the wrong position. well that may work for some, but it DID NOT work for me! after five attempts, i finally figured out WHICH PART of the linkage needed to be turned UP. in the wrong position, mine would ALMOST mate up, but the last 1/8 th of an inch, was a no go.flipped the offending culprit up, and slick as a mink, it went right into place.i also noticed that the top right bolt hole, was just shy of perfect alignment, when the linkage was in the wrong position. so check your linkages real close, the first time, and remember YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PUT ANY FORCE into the re-installation. just jt
  17. vacuum line to #2, is your PRIMARY source of vacuum. all other cylinders feed off of #2. primary vac. comes from TCI. unit, i think. some one with more "savvy", will be here in a moment. just jt
  18. looks to me, like you mildly "over did it", when you KICKED the side stand down. that appears to be an even , clean, all new , break. loose bolt might have been a contributing factor. just jt
  19. i drove a biggun, for "Halliburton", years ago. drove over the road, a few years. got tired of living out of a suitcase. quit the road and got me a real job!lol ran a LOT of heavy equipment , of all sorts. now , i just work when i want to,(or when my old torn up back allows me to). been staying home playing "Mr. MOM", for a couple of weeks. taking care of my bride myself, is cheaper than hiring a sitter, and working for HALF wages. just jt
