  1. brad. you can always come across on I-20. that would put you about 20 or 30 miles , from "the ambassador's", place. i think. just jt
  2. MAN!!! 15 responses to a dumb-a$$ question! imagine how many replies , i could get from an "intelligent", question! been trying to think of one ALL afternoon---, no luck! all this thinking has given me one of those "mybrain" headaches! lol just jt

  6. i got a "junk e-mail", yesterday. said that my E-bay account had been locked down, because some "unauthorized" person was trying to access it. only fly in that ointment, is that i NEVER even had an e-bay account! don't know what to make of it, so i just deleted it. just jt
  7. sounds like you are getting SERIOUS, about them missing rose bushes! lol just jt
  8. well, gerald, i guess you could say that i am a fair hand at point shooting, but the screen name actually comes from a comic page character . used to read the "sunday funnies", in the local paper every week. the comic strip was called "rick o'shay". lol adopted that hipshot name for a c.b. handle back in the late '60's, and just sort of hung onto it! just jt
  9. congrats, mike! the best part of the deal, is when it breaks down, you can get off, pick it up , put it under your arm, and carry it home! lol :cool10: just jt
  10. brad. i know you have a lot of "natural cushion", but i still think you should maybe look into a seat for the passenger's sake! otherwise, you won't be riding much, 'cause lonna won't go with you!lol:stirthepot: tickled to death , that you guys have a scooter, again! now you can ride it down here, for christmas, and not worry about "breakdowns, blow-outs, etc." they don't happen to an '86! just jt
  11. very nice pics. looks warm and cozy , where you guys were. also looks like that "newby kid", is about due for a haircut! lol just jt
  12. don! being from california, has NOTHING to do with anything, but I wanted YOU to read and reply! sometimes , "bait", has to be "formulated", to the task! no offense meant.i hope none was taken ,for very long. lol just jt
  13. i agree, sixer! don't think mine has ever come close to the "rev limiter", but my brother , bisquit, says it is doing 118 mph, in 5th gear, at redline! i don't aim to find out if that' true or not. i never had a "need for speed"! just jt
  14. thanks squeeze! i have wondered often, why he just stopped coming around. i hope someday, he will be back. sorta liked his ways of thinking. just jt
  15. \ being from california, says a lot , about your mindset. when i bought my 1st gen, i wasn't even in the market for a bike. this one came along, CHEAP, so i bought it. now, if i were wealthy, i would probably have a garage full of different bikes, but since i'm NOT, i'll just enjoy what i have. after all, at least mine don't look like a harley "knock-off"! just jt
  16. SURELY , SOMEONE HERE, remembers FALCO!!!!! anyone heard from him, lately? just jt.

  18. if you are going to try the "aquarium valves", don't make the mistake of buying the plastic models! go with the higher priced brass ones. the plastic ones leak, bad! just jt
  19. hey strat! my next door neighbor, has a "les paul, t.v. model". at least i think that is what it's called. circa 1957! at all the "internet", places that he checked. $ value was around $4000.00! Gibson, has always been my SECOND, favorite, in the acoustical line! i do dearly love the sound of an "auditorium", martin! just jt
  20. !! BINGO!!!! a man who admits that "he's been there and done that"! thanks , dan. i thought i was the only dumb-ass, in the group! just jt
  21. have you , maby, overfilled the reservoir? if the fluid is too high, and it heats up and expands in the reservoir, there is no where for the brake pressure to be relieved. just a thought! don't ask me how i know. just jt
  22. you should have a 16" or so , length of wiring, on the left side of your bike, attached to a "holder", on the fuel tank. this wire has a plug-in, adapter on it , to plug your helmet into. if you can't see the harness, then it may be coiled up inside the fairing, by p.o., because he didn't use it. hope this helps, if not , ask again! just jt
  23. every time i look at my vest, i see my "1st gen , hipshot, badge ", and wonder - - - has anyone heard from FALCO, lately??? i hate to see a member, "just fall through the cracks"! just jt
