    does anyone know of a "made on" date for the pc680 battery. i am beginning to think my "bargain battery", is WAY out-dated, as it will not seem to fully charge. most i can get in it, is about 12.85 volts. don't know if that is hot enough to spin a v4 engine, or not. thanks in advance. just jt

    Lou, i had an old "trail bronc", from a HEALD KIT BIKE, that would do all of that, with an 11 h.p. motor. i never was able to get it stuck, or hung up. i'll buy another, if i ever see one. oh and it was street legal , too. just jt

    i saw a short segment on the news this afternoon, that should "make your day"!!! it seems that the supreme court, has decided that some inmates(about 16000), nationwide, got harsher sentences for "crack cocaine", that the ones that were busted with powdered stuff! so - - - all 16000, are now eligible for reduced sentences, or immediate parole!!! good news is , you'll have fewer to watch over at work, bad news is - - - - your neighborhood will be repopulated! lol just thought i'd brighten up your day. just jt

    walked into the local "INTERSTATE BATTERY ",THIEVERYSHIP THIS MORNING ON A WHIM. asked about a gel cell battery for my '86. salesman said we don't stock them, but i can order you one for $146.00. another sales person, said "odyssey makes one for them also.".i gave them the odyssey part # and they had ONE in stock, that was "ordered by mistake." anyhow i got out the door with it for $89.00! now my question, is, do i charge it in the wet cell mode, or agm mode? help please. just jt

    SO, what kind of fishing are you interested in? "fly fishing", "river fishing"?, "offshore fishing"?. i have tackle for all three, for sale cheap. seems like you've been "snake-bit", when it comes to motorcycles! just kidding. i'd take "oldandcrotchey's" advice. just fix everything that you find wrong, and ride it. something else WILL break down, it always does. if it's mechanical, it will wear out with time. just jt

    hello all. i have searched the "tech" forums to no avail. can anyone tell me where the REAR brake reservoir FULL mark is? i don't know when "enough is enough". i have heard that overfilling, can cause rear "lockup", as the fluid heats up with use. thanks in advance. just jt

    just appropriated the red and black cables and ends, today. left overs from a job that has long since been shipped out. i think i'll do the "tie the ends together to thread", trick. sounds like the easy way to go about it. just jt

    o.k. folks. from my recent , repairs, i have found that the "abs plastic glue" from lowes, doesn't work nearly as well as the "home-made" version. for some reason, the abs glue in a can, is VERY porous, meaning ,lots of air bubbles.the home-made variety, seems to turn out a LOT better. remember, before you start a fairing repair,WAX THE PAINTED SIDE!!!! that way, any "over application", that seeps through, is easily removed with a PLASTIC putty knife. only leaves a hairline black mark.no repainting necessary. just jt
