    david. i wish that i could respond to your request, but i never even heard of it. i LIVE with lower back pain 24/7, just like you. i had surgery 4 times, and all that the Dr.s ," healed up", was their bank accounts!!!!!! leg pain, indicates a "pinched sciatic nerve", so ANY drug delivery system, would only MASK the symptoms, and not repair what is actually wrong. i am told, that in all Scandinavian countries, back surgery, is an absolute NO-NO! they believe, that rest and NO exertion, will heal ALL back problems. so their respective governments , pay you ,your annual income, just to lay around and heal. they have, by the way, a 95% success rate! i would be leary of ANY new "intra tracheal" delivery system. drugs, don't heal, they only make life tolerable. having said that, when do you think you will have time to re build my carbs?????????!!! just jt

    only "guesstimate"that i can come up with, would be in tracking the "V.i.n. #. i don't know whether that number reveals the color code or not. at any rate, you have a beautifully colored bike. i would just have a "painting company", COLORMATCH it, and put the paint in an aerosol spray can. a little pricey, but you only have to buy a few ounces, and only once! ride safe, and stay healthy my friend! just jt

    i know i've seen it posted here, a dozen times, but does anyone know off the top of their head, what the part number is for a first gen carb diaphragm? i tried a simple search, and came up with nothing. maybe i used the wrong "phrase". just jt

    dan. i am gonna look at this one realy hard. one owner, garage kept, 56k miles on the clock, new tires,fresh tune-up,"olive green and black", in color! if i can scrape up the bucks, this one will be in my shed! it got "moved out of the way", by an "ultra classic!" that tells me, this guy don't know much about "CLASS"! lol just jt. oh , and RICK NELSON, don't pay me any attention. you know how venture people talk among themselves, about them H.D. s! :stirthepot:

    n, the diaphragms are located , just below, each carb. they are behind a square housing, with a slight dome on them. one of the FOUR screws, that holds the covers on, is NOT a phillips head. i believe in it a "torx", type screw. just jt

    i would fill it up, and add sea foam, or sta bil, or some sort of conditioner. a full tank, doesn't leave room , for a lot of condensation. just my 2 cents worth. just jt

    any one know , what an '86 sold for , brand new in 1986??? might come in handy , for "dickering " purposes. i have a line on an '86, for sale. haven't seen it, or talked to the owner , yet, but i will! just jt

    ya'll got it all wrong! he ain't hunting wild game. he's practicing up for a gang war, or "drive-up, " shooting! i can't see any "legal" use for that kind of contraption, or shooting , for that matter. just my nickle's worth. just jt

    jack , on the "spyder cracks, i would gently spread the two pieces apart, without doing further damage, and using an "artists brush,"i would paint both leading edges with acetone.when you release the two parts, the acetone, having softened the two leading edges, will glue them back together. as fot the hole, i wouldn't use abs "pipe /plumbing " glue. i tried that, and in a heavier application, even in stages, you tend to get a VERY porous fix. not sturdy at all! i would go with a "body filler" for autos, and maybe a thin fiberglass topcoat. both are sandable and paintable. good luck with whichever solution you opt to try. just jt

    what 8 track??? i started with a bunch of 33 1/3platters. then 78 "albums". then 45 records, then an4TRACK!!!!!!and Finally came the 8 track. oh and "puc" we have a local FM station, that plays only 50's through 90's music!all mixed up, from armstromg to zeplin, and everyone in between! too bad , janis fell into hard drugs and hard drink. she was a good person, if you knew her. i met her a couple of times, before she fell in with "big brother and the holding co.". seems like she just couldn't turn off the "party"!!!! just jt

    brad, i finally caught up with "the bisquit", and told him what had happened. he couldn't believe it. he said , "i rode that bike three days before, and it was perfect. no vibrations, or shakes , of any kind"!!! we both agreed, that someone in our bunch, must have put " oho malo", on your bike. that translates into a form of "evil eye", mexicans really, do believe, that if you admire something or someone, as in a baby, or young child, or someone's hair, for instance, then you MUST touch the object, to keep from transferring the evil eye, to it. at any rate, i am looking forward to seeing you two,back down this way, as soon as you can shake loose. just jt

    rich99. are you just now figuring this out???????? hell , Jerry Lewis, has been bleeding the public dry , for 30 years, and they haven't even come close to a "cure" , for muscular dystrophy! they don't WANT a cure, for ANY disease. they make 10,000 times more money , by treating the symptoms, than they would if they cured you. this has been a thorn in my side, for a lot of years. glad i finally got a chance to have my say. just jt p.s. i don't expect anyone to agree, but then, i'm always "out in left field", anyhow. john

    if it didn't start, after you put in new plugs, it is possible that #4cyl flooded. if that plug is "wet", or has been fouled, it probably won't ever fire again. i would pull it out and check it for spark. oh, and welcome to our house!!!! just jt
