  1. Only 1700 sold last year is not much market share. That $1000 price increase for 09 would buy a nice first gen.
  2. Randya that bottle went quick but me and Yammer missed out. All I know is the girls got noisy after that. Think I went to bed early with a headache.
  3. Craig you sure know how to ruin a mans day. It's work till I die now.
  4. 5. Check the air box! You may have sucked in a few Harley parts.
  6. Terrible news to read this morning. Hang in there Bob and get well soon. Our prayers for you and the family.
  7. I'm glad lowell lives close enough to come visit.
  8. Thom I feel for you guys. Fay is headed our way now rain Wed and Thur. Florida might have to cancel labor day tourism.
  9. I'm looking for a cheap wood burner for the camp. I'm accumulating more fire wood from fallen trees and limbs then we can use in the fire pit. The old house is only 800 sq ft and I'll only heat it when camping on occasional weekends. Got hunting season coming up through December and I like to start spring work projects in March so being able to camp during chilly months is nice. I'm looking at the vogelzang frontiersman that tractor supply sales for $399. It comes with a 110 volt blower and 102,000 btu adequate for 1000 sq ft. I'm not sold on this stove. It's just available close and within budget. Last year there was a run on stoves due to heating cost increases. I can only imagine what this year will be like with fuel cost rising. Next weekend I'm putting a new floor down in the old kitchen and then I'll be ready for a stove. The old kitchen had a wood burning cook stove years ago and thats where this one will go.The master bedroom is next to the kitchen so I could curtain off the living room and spare bedroom to reduce necessary heating space. I got a wheelchair ramp right to the front kitchen door. Makes for rolling a first gen in easy. An other ideas on stoves?
  10. 2:00 AM :rotfl::rotfl: Got to take care of business when the Wardens Sleeping! When we leaving to go get it? Can't have to many first gens.:mo money:

    Anybody got a carbtune? http://uneasysilence.com/archive/2006/12/8893/
  12. An 85 model with California emissions should still be fast enough to outrun an 86 model. If you can live with a certain 84 out in front then leave it alone.
  13. Brad I know a man that won 11 million in the lottery. His kids immediately ask for a $5000 a week allowance. Who needs enemies it's family to worry about.
  14. Thats an idea ECK. I could sell everything, retire and ride a first gen all over the country. We got enough members to put me up for the night 365 days a year. I wonder if Redneck would let a first gen park in his garage?
  15. Fay should have been called the Dragon. Left ,Right, no Left again. That thing might circle back into the gulf by the weekend. Who knows?
  16. That's what I keep telling myself as I watch my retirement nest egg go down down down. 401K is a good thing but small company plans offer few fund options for moving money around in a down trend. I have watched the bond fund and money markets options for over 10 years. Never seen them make more then 3 or 4 percent in good times but during down trends at least they are good holding funds. I missed the peak in Oct 07 just like I did in 2000. Forget about calling your fund financial planner he only returns calls once every 6 weeks. So now we are waiting for the rebound. The funds I'm in have been good funds but across the board everything is down. So pour me another one as I analyze the difference between where I should be and where I am to the tune of down by $40,000 and falling.Things could be worse GM is down by 60% according to the news. So who on wall street just bought a new Harley on me?Waiting on a rebound. There is always plan B. Work till you die and spend the kids inheritance.
  17. I found a bag of seven dust we had from earlier gardening years. It was still sealed unopened so I give it a try. It said highly toxic to bee's tomorrow we shall see what happens. I dusted the nest opening good tonight. If that don't work I'll give them a shot of Heinken!
  18. Where can I get some in powder form. These nest are stubborn. We have another build almost in same location as the one last month. Plus this month it's time for one's to appear in the ground but those are easy to destroy. It's in the walls of the old house and floor seals I'm fighting now.
  19. Lowell if your traveling down I79 in WV MamaMo's got a hot cup of coffee waiting at the 67 exit at Flatwoods. I know there is a warm bed at the camp but the fridge is empty. Plenty of deer steak standing around if you get hungry.
  20. The 89 was running a little sluggish last week on that Asheville run.Riding on top the smokies at 6000 ft I really noticed some problems. I just don't have time to run these scoots like they need it. I added a full can 16 ounces to a tank of fuel today and rode for about 75 miles. I add a can full strength twice a year. The next can will be this winter when I put it away with a full tank of fuel for 4 months. I have another can waiting on the 84 when I take it out. I wish they made Seafoam for humans. I could have used a drink for my leg aches friday night. The price is still $5.66 a can at Walmart and $5.98 a can at our local auto parts store. Sometimes they run it on sale for $5.00 a can. Good Stuff can't say enough about it. I keep some in the gasoline generator tank, weed eater mix, tractor, etc.
  21. After 6000 miles of riding mostly two up on the 89 the Kenda's still look like new. We just towed our compact kamp trailer fully loaded to the Asheville rally. The bike pulled strong and stable. The tongue weight on the trailer was incorrect and I could see the trailer whipping a little but I could not feel this on the bike. I did get some instability when I set my feet out on the highway boards at speeds above 75.We have had these for over two years now and find them a good tire for the money. Not much more then the D404's we had on the 84 that only lasted 5K.
  22. Skid better leave that leaf spring in. Leslie has plans for the extra space. Shopping Spree's.:rotf:
  23. Bob glad to meet you guys. I'm glad you and mother got to make this ride. Wow two weeks of venture.
