Today has been a bummer all the way around!! Came in for another break. Garage stuff not going well this morning. Warden walked into the bedroom and heard a noise and saw a picture starting to fall off the dresser. Tried to grab it and found herself nose to nose with a 5' blacksnake!!! I hate snakes!! Scared me and I was watching from next room!! Put my welding gloves on and took him outside!! He didn't seem to mind. I didn't care for it. I was looking for gun in headboard of bed when I first saw him. Warden may not have liked that in her new bedroom suite. What makes a blacksnake have the stripes on it? It was a blacksnake but had faint strips showing on it. When he was in dark corner first thought was Copperhead!! Now that we know our hearts are working......

With Annie and Al being here Friday afternoon and night, maybe we can grill some burgers and visit. So, if anyone would like to stop by, you are welcome. And, I will have an extra bedroom that can be available also if anyone else wants to stop by on the way to Asheville. This is kind of short notice, so we will just see what we can throw together. Grandma's boyfriend A 5-year-old boy went to visit his grandmother one day. Playing with his toys in her bedroom while grandma was dusting, he looked up and said, 'Grandma, how come you don't have a boyfriend now that Grandpa went to heaven?' Grandma replied, 'Honey, my TV is my boyfriend. I can sit in my bedroom and watch it all day long. The religious programs make me feel good and the comedies make me laugh ... I'm happy with my TV as my boyfriend.' Grandma turned on the TV, and the reception was terrible. She started adjusting the knobs, trying to get the picture in focus. Frustrated, she started hitting the backside of the TV hoping to fix the problem. The little boy heard the doorbell ring, so he hurried to open the door and there stood Grandma's minister. The minister said, 'Hello son, is your Grandma home?' The little boy replied, 'Yeah, she's in the bedroom bangin' her boyfriend.' The minister fainted. Now, that's funny... I don't care WHO you are

I'm looking for a cheap wood burner for the camp. I'm accumulating more fire wood from fallen trees and limbs then we can use in the fire pit. The old house is only 800 sq ft and I'll only heat it when camping on occasional weekends. Got hunting season coming up through December and I like to start spring work projects in March so being able to camp during chilly months is nice. I'm looking at the vogelzang frontiersman that tractor supply sales for $399. It comes with a 110 volt blower and 102,000 btu adequate for 1000 sq ft. I'm not sold on this stove. It's just available close and within budget. Last year there was a run on stoves due to heating cost increases. I can only imagine what this year will be like with fuel cost rising. Next weekend I'm putting a new floor down in the old kitchen and then I'll be ready for a stove. The old kitchen had a wood burning cook stove years ago and thats where this one will go.The master bedroom is next to the kitchen so I could curtain off the living room and spare bedroom to reduce necessary heating space. I got a wheelchair ramp right to the front kitchen door. Makes for rolling a first gen in easy. An other ideas on stoves?
