I don't have a city. I don't have a town. I don't have a community. I'm stranded out in the country on 4 acre's with just my family so I cut my own trees. Closest neighbor not family is 1/4 mile away.My camp just down the road is the only house in the community limits of Falls Mill. Goverment bought everything but my place.

Dan you need to include a power ball jackpot guarantee the first of every month. One of those buckets is full of OXY. Need a fast first gen to make those bank deposits.

I got my own doghouse just down the road. No fleas, yellow jackets are gone, two queen beds, no creek to cross. Life can be good in the dog house.

Is this a project bike that has been down for a while? What is the history last time running. I would start by checking the pickup coil connection along the frame, the fuses, and checking for spark on all 4 cylinders.

Patty my apologies for any misunderstanding with our funning around. Most people are able to recognize my humor and accept it. Dan has told me several times how he was impressed at how the bike handled and tracked straight down the road. I motioned him up beside me for a photo shoot and he showed me. Believe me I have a serious side.We do understand from our own experiences with family and close friends.Dan is a good friend and an inspiration. I love to hear his stories of where he was and where he is today. His success story he contributes to your love and care for him. I want to thank you for giving back his life to him. In this I speak of his return to riding. Many of the venture riders that know him well watched over him at Asheville. How many phone calls was made just checking on his departure and arrival nobody knows. I drive over 50,000 miles a year. All I can do is ask the Lord to watch over me as my dependents are many. Before leaving for Asheville there was a lump in my throat as I weighed in the balance my faith in God and my skill as a rider against those idiots on the road. Yes I joke around and laugh even about serious stuff it is good medicine. I will not be a prisoner to fear of what might happen or if what did happen will repeat itself. I do pray for you and Dan. This is just a little peak into my heart feelings and thanks for sharing yours.

She had a refrigerator with her. Well an electric cooler the size of a mini fridge. Every nook and cranny was stuffed to. Coleman stove, battery jump starter pack with air compressor. Oh thats my stuff hers was pots and pans, clothes, folding chairs, shoes. We barely had room for that 8ct load of Rubies.I was happy though. You should have seen Muffinman trying to pack up heading home.

Our 89 got 35 mpg riding two up and pulling a medium size trailer. That's running interstate at 70-75 mph. Is this good? Others riding single and two up without trailers got 40-44mpg.All first gens. What do you get towing?

The sheffield mine in Franklin was our last great hope for fame and fortune. A new cabin and early retirement hung in the balance. The girls would get mad every time we ask ARE WE RICH YET? We did enjoy a little hill climbing on the first gens. No one got rich on this deal but Yammer Dan walked away seeing dollar signs. Something about opening up The Clay County Mine??

One of the hardest things to do is schedule only 1 week of vacation time around a meet or rally. I truly wish we could make them all but many people like myself have to pick and choose. Usually it is those events within a days ride. I know there are many people who show up and many more who would like to have attended. On the way back from Asheville we meet a couple who are members from Ohio. They view the site and read many of the post. It's a small world out there. Maybe someday we can join the 50K a year club and ride.If you sponsor a meet and eat keep up the good work. Many of us would love to come but until then we appreciate the pictures and all the excitement from those who did.

Craig I'm so sorry about your incident. I'm glad your OK and yes the bike can be fixed. Just focus on the good times at Asheville 08. Looking forward to maybe a fall WV meet and/or making yours in PA.

Great job Mini. We loved the campground. Clean showers and NO MOSQUITOE'S compared to everywhere else we been. A special thanks to Muffinman for his help with our scoot. Randy and Laura super job with the food. Camping with friends was great and our ride over the Smokies coming in from Pigeon Forge was super.A special thanks to all the Ventureriders who attended and to the new members added this week.
