Another dumb question but i'm tired of searching online... I'm still figuring all this stuff out about this new (to me) 84venture. I need a new tire. No bike shops in my town...blah blah blah... SO: when shopping for a rear tire...What size should I be looking for and what should I expect to spend for the tire and install (on average). thx y'all a

I have discovered that my speedometer is off. Someone told me that by changing the rear tire size this will help fix this. Does anyone know if this is true or even possible?

After the past few weeks, I have really started to experience lower tail bone discomfort. A pain in the "behind"! Have had the Butler Modification done and been good comfort up until the now. Looking for driver saddle options? Also, I have been adjusting my Utopia Backrest to be a little more upright, to assist in posture for riding. Seems to helps some, but not totally after the 2 hours or so. As for size, I'm 6'1" and 33" in-seam and bike fits well for height. Did the Level Links as well and did not notice any significant change for "fit" Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I grew up with the enduro class of motorcycle. Those were great for riding country back roads,and trails during my early teen years. I put a lot of miles on a kz-250 when I was teen.Today kids are into the ATV thing and you never see a dual purpose bike around here. My youngest just turned 12 but he is a big boy and looks more like 14 in size. I would like to get him started into motorcycling soon to get the off road experience and skills early. So what should I look for in a scoot? If I opt for a dual purpose licensed capable scoot then Ramona could ride it around the camp and short highway trips. That Big 16th Birthday will be here soon and I noticed a few spare 1st gens in the shed out there.

Can anyone tell me the approximate size of the casstte player?? I'm going to get Quickstep to turn it into a storage area, and am going to go to the wreckers and see if something out of the dash of a car would work. But as the fairing has to be cracked open to get a look see I don't want him to do that till I've got something to fit Ta Muchly

OK, I'm tired of boogering up the heads of the master cylinder screws every time I need to add brake fluid to my bike. Does anybody know where I can order that size screw in hardened stainless or an allen head???

Ok what I kneed is the size of the retainer screw that holds in the draincock plug. I had a leak that turned out to be a hose at the overflow bottle. In the process I noticed that the draincock was turned wrong at the dealors during the last repair work so I went to losen the screw so I could turn it to the prpoer positionand thats when I noticed no screw. So I need to know the thread size and length. Any help would be apreciated. . I intend on ordering the upgrade kit from skydoc but would like to get something so I can ride till then. I am extending the use of our 'cottage' behind our home, on our two acres in Galt, California. It is currently unoccupied. There are two rooms, 1 has a double size bed and the other a single size bed. Plus, the futon in the living room folds down to a queen size bed. There is a small kitchen. And of course, a bathroom with bathtub and shower. BIll and I would love to have any one here on the site stay the night to rest your head or even stay the weekend, if you would like. I ordered my nexen c/t and got size 165/80 15, took my tire off the bike and I see it is a 150/90 B15. what differance will it make, where did I get that size from? oh what have I done?

All- I recently bought a 1987 Venture Royale which I'm getting the Carbs completely cleaned and rebuilt by one of my VMAX buddies. While I have everything off, I'm replacing the plugs, fuel filter, air filter and the fuel lines. Can anyone tell me what size the fuel lines are? I'm going to look at an auto parts store first. i have a federal 165/80/15 c/t on back and love it. what size rear m/c would fit the front on my 2gen. all my goldwing riding bubs run rear m/c on there bikes. the front rim size being 16 and back 15? anyone doing this on 2gen.

I am doing the rear tire replacement with the bike kneeling, no front tire. And I had a :buttkick:dumb ( you fill in what ever words that fit ) attack, I forgot to put a strap on the centerstand and engine guard. We were slowly lowering the front and then she rolled forward off of the center stand .She didn't fall over but hit pretty solid and squarely on the exhaust. It took 3 of us to get her back up on the stand. This time I strapped her up and lowered again and all is good. But with the nose tilted down that far I now have a couple of drops of oil on the floor about the size of a quarter after being tilted for an hour. Is this anything to worry about or could it be comming out of somewhere it wouldn't when level? I do like trying this stuff on my own but the unknowns drive me crazy. any responces are deserved and welcomed.

well im in need of a new jacket and helmet. i want to be seen.as much as possible. im thinking of a white helmet but not sure of the jacket. i want to go with a look that almost makes me look like a motorcyle cop. and be legal. i have a shoie helmet but its over 9 years old. and fell and hit the bedroom floor from a height of about 5 feet. so i just dont trust it no more. as for a jacket somone thought they need mine and helped them selfs to a old black one i had from like 10 years ago. im sure if i look at the local pawn stores it would turn up there. due to good food it wouldnt fit now anyways. so if any one has a jacket and helmet they would be willing to sell let me know. im a big guy weight wise 245 lbs size 46 waist. not sure of my chest size. ii wear 2 xl t shirts if that helps. my helmet size is xl. any ideas where to look for this gear?

I removed the fuse to replace it.(blown) I lost it, does anybody know what size it is? Did I see 5 amp someplace?

Having the rear tire replaced tomarrow morning with Metzler ME880 180- 70- 15. As you know, stock is a 150 -90- 15. Anyone here know if there will be a problem with tire clearance? I have read on this site that a certain size can be a problem, but I forgot with one.
