I am selling my 83 venture if anyone knows who might want one. Got some cracked plastic brakes are week. but other then that its not to bad of a bike. I just put in new steering bearings and clutch bearing. I need to get some bills caught up and the bike is the first to go. I put the wife on ebay and had no hits. I am askig 1500 whitch i dont thik is to far out of line.

I've just purchased a 2009 Royal Star Venture and will be selling my 86 VR. It is in great mechanical shape with new tires..Theres a couple of repairs to the fairing etc but all in all its a great bike and well worth the asking price of $1200. I got word through this or some other forum that a mainstay in our area, Chicago Sports & Cycle was closing its doors and an auction was scheduled for Saturday. It started at 9 am, however, I couldn't get there until shortly after 10:00. Unfortunately missed out on the many cases of Yamalube and other shop fluids they were selling. But got there in time for what I was most interested in...J&M headsets (new in box). Since they were selling in bulk, I had to buy a box w/ 5 units even though I only needed two. I am going to have two (2) extras which I will make available on this forum before selling on ebay. I believe one is full face (part #HS-ECD584-FF) and the other flip front or modular (part # HS-ECD584-FL), both retailing for $229.99. I am attaching pix of those for anyone interested. Will take any rsble offer, plus shipping. PM if interested. CS&C was a Yamaha, Honda, Suz & Kaw dealer which also sold other powersports equipment. Because they were selling items in bulk containers, I had to buy many items I did not need in order to get items I wanted. However, most of those bulk lots were rsbly. cheap and once I go through all of the boxes I will put together a list of what I have to sell or give away to VR members. I will then update this thread or post elsewhere if more appropriate. There are only a few items that are specifically related to the Venture, and many miscellaneous motorcycle & ATV-related items. OK...I bought my brand new Venture on December 11th, 2009. I have worked on it all winter, and I have to tell you that I think I am DONE. That's right, I think I am done with it except for riding it. Since I bought the bike, I have added the following (and mods). Trunk Luggage Rack Lowering Links and Damper Mod Audio Wiring Mod (for Garmin Zumo 660) 1 1/2" Risers Stebel Horn Temp and Clock Gauges (clocks4bikes.com) TLC Liner Bags for Trunk and Saddlebags Garage Door Opener (ignition cowling) Mod Stealth Key Mod Butler Butt Mod Butler Seat Mod Butler Saddlebag Nuts Yamaha Luggage Rack Bag (Brand new and will be selling this). Kuryakyn 4142 Roll Bag (why I am selling the Yamaha bag) Grifter Storage License Plate Holder (very handy!) Scorpion Helmets (2) with Edset's Comm Package So, that's about it. Yes, I still have a pending Lightbar install (waiting on mounting brackets), but having seconds thoughts on those... The ONLY other items I can think of are Saddlebag Rails and maybe highway pegs...UNLESS someone fabricates a VIABLE and EASY REPLACEMENT for the cassette deck. What ELSE is there?

I noticed on Flea Bay that "VentureriderXVZ" was selling a 2001 wing. From the description he must have gone to Ark for the Rally but I don't recognize the handle. I am looking for a wing to go with the first gen. I am still a little weak with the top heavy Venture with the boss on back and we rode a wing and felt a lot better. I will keep my blackcherry baby for one up riding though.

Just got home from a nice short ride to Chadron. Starting to feel like fall is just around the corner. My favorite time of year, especially for riding. Had second thoughts about selling my '83 VR, but still planning at this point to sell. Before I took off on my ride, I stopped at the library where Ronda works and told her that I'd be home by lunch time. She kind of had a little pout face for a second. She loves to ride also. Hello everyone, I just bought my NEW leftover 2007 RSTD the day after Christmas, less than 5 months ago. MSRP was around $14,295. Due to cold and rainy weather here in Iowa, it only has 306 actual miles. Only reason I am selling is due to unexpected major expenses on my septic and leach field (sewer problems) on my acreage. I am selling my Yamaha FZ 1000. I don't ride it much since I got my RSTD. I am a little worried about letting potential buyers take the bike for a test ride. Any advice would be appreciated.

Well, looks like I'm joining the group that's selling their bike. I have been off work since the end of Sept. with major headaches , dizziness and blurred vision along with aching muscles. Gone thru lots of tests and scans but the doctors can't find anything. ( I know, my friends said there is nothing to find in your head!!) Not aloud to drive a car so I know the bike will be out. So that's the main reason as well as the bills are way behind. GREAT bike for someone. BTW, all info is in the classifieds, also selling helmets and jackets.

I love my bike and just got it to where I wanted it but like I put in the description, my wife is pregnant and I can't afford the bike payment and a new baby and I just tore a tendon that holds part of the quadracept to the knee cap so I will not be able to walk for 6-9 months, let alone ride. I am throwing everything in, I will not be buying a new bike for a while so I see no reason to keep anything I have now and I don't feel like selling everything seperatly. So if you're looking for a great bike or know anyone who is please check it out. Any questions please let me know.

Hello All, I have a medium clear view sheild tinted and vented. Looking for a large as I am 6'7" and catching a little to much wind. Anyone have that they are selling? Mine is for sale used 1 year no scratches perfect shape.

Am looking to buy a good ground blind for bow-hunting. I shoot an Oneida bow and need the interior height to be at least 68". Anybody selling one, or know of where one can be had for less then an arm or a leg? Thanks

My better half was quizzing me about a Valkerie today. So I got onto the Honda website to show her what they were all about. The only problem is I cannot find a Valkerie on the site. Are they not selling them anymore??? Have Goldwing and VTX knocked them out of the picture?? :confused24::confused24:

For those of you in and around the Southern California area who've been thinking about a new RSV, there's a local dearler here selling '07 RSV's for $14,999 out the door (That's tax, license, & registration included in the price). "Out-the-Door Motorsports" here in L.A. is a volume selling dealer whose prices cannot be beat here in this area. A year and a half ago I bought my "new" leftover '05 RSMV for $15,200 (otd) from a dealer up north about 175 miles from me and thought that was the deal of the century. That's probably what OTDMS would sell an '07 RSMV for here too. I should've of checked with them before I pulled the trigger on my deal, but at the time felt there was no way I could come close to the deal I got. I didn't lose much on the price, but it's the depreciation and resale value where I took the hit. At any rate, I'm extremely happy with my RSMV as it has turned out to be a better bike than I could have ever imagined.

What can a guy expect to pay for a set of those Jardine exhaust pipes for a first gen? Who is selling them? I did a search and haven't found a dealer with them. I'll keep looking.

Has anyone here had their RSV repainted just for the heck of it? I've never cared much for the solid white but I couldn't pass up the deal I got on it. I was seriously considering selling the 04 and buying an 08 just for the color but the 08 looks just like the 04, with the color difference of course. Anyone ever do this, were you happy with the change and was it overly expensive?

i was told that someone in the organization is selling extensions for the light bar to set it a couple of inches off the fairing. i've been unable to locate any. if anyone knows who may be selling them please let me know thanks poppyrodg
