Do any of you know what year Yamaha started painting the 1300 engine? I've seen several pics of Ventures without the Black painted engine, but mine is painted. craigr

Hey all, WE got back in safe . HAd a ball staying with aamcotrans (Rob & Clare). We met up with wanderer at the steak house and went to the show from there. Bike show was interesting and we had a good time. As someone has posted on another thread there was not a lot of great deals at this show but it was nice if you wanted to compare one bike after another. My wife ,Laura , was handling the camera so no pics of my new dream bike but I fell in love with the 2010 v_4 vfw interceptor. We had a ball visiting. I finally (over the last couple of days) was able to get out and put a few miles on the bike. I actually now have over 200 miles (WHOOPEE), not bad for a guy that averages about 8000 miles a year...I'll catch up though. So I was out today and shot a couple of pictures, I guess they all look similar so nothing earth shattering here...I think you might be able to see my Zumo 660 in one or two of the pics. I beefed the pics up a little though...since most of the ventures look the same. Wally

I had the great pleasure to help a fellow VR.ORG member add a few custom pieces to his VR recently and I wish I could say I had a hand in fabbing up the body on this 86'VR but I would be lying!! Please enjoy these pics of one of the most original VR's I have ever seen. By the way, this bike belongs to Steve Crossley and he is a bit shy about braggin' about his scoot, BUT I'M NOT! Enjoy. Earl

I went and did it. Jeff took me to the Ford dealer and I got a 2010 Ranger Sport 4 WD. It's a pretty blue. I know you guys don't care about the pretty color the ladies will though. So now I'm in debt. Not too bad though I got a 36 month 0% interest loan. I'll post pics tomorrow in the daylight. Jeff tried to take pics tonight but it's too dark out. Jeff said I'm like Black Owl now I have a venture ranger. Margaret

I just came in from putting my bike away for the winter, and since 7 pm tonight there is about 4 inches of the white stuff on the ground. Out for a ride this morning after getting off midnight work and decided to ride to Marcarl's to check-out new digs. VVVEEERRRYYY NICE (pretty organized with plenty of shelves and benches,office space and heated.) and sorry Marca the house is too(Carl is in the midst of fixing it up)(off to a good start).Shared a coffee and cookie and then drove to dealer down the road to see what they had on the showroom floor and seen the 2009S model for $21999 + tax. Was ready to leave then spotted 2010 sitting at the end of the line for$22999+. It was black with flames and also the S trim. In a way, I feel a little bit like Eck. In May the company I was working for decided to shut down. My wife and I were able to make arrangements to start our own data collection call center so we were able to keep ourselves and 20 others employed. We've just started a website and posted the pics from our Halloween get together. Decided to ride down to the luncheon today...glad we did...would have never heard the end of it from little d from of the valkyre riders club if I didn't...she'd still be calling me a whimp...She is one tough BI.. errrrrrrr..... woman. (she can read this but can't respond...)..PP&J, RAWHIDE, MIKENTINAMIDNIGHT, (his pyromaniac bride) BEENSIE....lol ,BIG D, LITTLE D, MYSELF, TATERS and KB2RWW (BOBBY)... had a wonderful visit and lunch....wow I'm stuffed....KB2WW was a little late, and our waitress and I gave him up as a no show....little did I know he was traveling across the entire state to get here....BOBBY you DA MAN...he left at 7am to meet us for lunch at 12:15.....and then had to drive back again......my hats off to you...so glad you came....well as always we had a whole lot of fun..our waitress (Denise) who took a whole lot of abuse from the group was an angel ...me being the perfect gentleman, apologized for the groups behavior and asked for her forgiveness...she was a kind and forgiving soul....here are some pics.......

Here are some Pics of the wind deflectors I purchased from BuddyRich on my 05RSV. They really make a difference, made a couple of rides this last weekend early in the morning (51). Like the look, they look stock. Might be hard to see with the Black on Black. Great Job Buddy. Also one of the pics shows the Venture decal I got from Freebird on my tank bib. Fits right in. Picked up another VR in June and showed up at Earl's (skydoc) Earl helped put her back into service with carb synch, rebuilt front calipers, rebuilt rear caliper, f/r pads, mounted new tires f/r, radiator drain upgrade, and a general going over. Heck he even took it for a ride and had it PA state inspected.........
