Just wondering if anyone here has painted all their side covers on the motor when the redid their bike or engine repair. I have seen some painted various colors but I am talking flat black here. If you have, and took pictures of them I would love to see them, I have painted mine with high heat matt black, havent put them back on yet, but I am debating on whether to leave them flat black or go with some clear coat over them to give them a little shine and help protect the paint better.

Does anyone have a windshield for an '83 VR? Mine has a film on it that I have not been able to get off. I've tried everything short of trying to sand and repolish. Before I attempt this, I thought I should see if I can find another windshield just in case I mess mine up beyond repair.

any body know where the fuse is for the acc plug under the left side of the seat mine not working probally fuse.......thanks

I'm looking for a right side lower fairing for a 2000 Venture (red),,,,, no it's not mine, but a friend of mine has it and took out a coon last year. He's ok but the fairing got the worst of the fight. Anybody that can help out?

I've worn a hole through mine and wondered if anyone is still making these. I think the guy in FL that I got mine from is no longer making them. If no one has any ideas then I will probably bring my old one to a leather place and have them fix it or use it as a template to make a new one. If I had one made would there be any intrest in this.

First of all I just want to say hey! second I was wondering where would be the cheapest place to find a starter for a 84 venture royale? Mine is totally fried! had a low battery and fried the armature trying to start it. Oops!

If anyone has replaced their stock windshield from the RSV and want to get rid of it, get in touch, I need one bad, and Oh by the way, dont ever, ever, ever use any of that headlight lens restorer on your windshield, I did and it has ruined mine, cant even see through it and it wont come off, have tried everything including a buffer, just one big blurred peice of plexi now.

I took a 2001 Honda Valkyrie Interstate out for a ride this afternoon and was very impressed with the ride and the sheer power of the scoot.WOW, this blows my 85 outta the water! It was too quiet as i had trouble hearing it running at times but it seemed to fit me well and felt a lot lighter at low speeds than my 85 G1. I managed to talk him down to a lower price and he has to discuss it with his family and get it cleared off his loans to be free for sale. I should find out in the next day or so if the bike is going to be mine. Brian

The wife and I were riding over to Indiana on Friday night and I noticed another bike coming up in the left lane as he passed me I looked over and I'll be darn if it wasn't another one just like mine. Found it strange to have another one pass me. he got off at exit #15 of I-74

I found my Computer Monitor System board has a crack after I soldered the broken joints. It would work for a second and go away. I can't jumper the front of the board so It's toast. Does anyone have a board (working or not)? Mine has the clock includes with the monitor. I sure would like to see the fuel level and all the monitor stuff working. rod -
Check out this car combo built by a long time good friend of mine. He has taken hundreds of healys from all over the US and various places in Canada and fully rebuilt them. Riding my bike home from work yesterday I came across a maroon / black venture with out of state plates. I thought it might be someone from here riding in for the meet at Randy's tonight so I waved at him and we pulled in to a gas station to chat. He was actually riding around the southeast just seeing sights and stopped over here to ride the 421 Snake. We talked about the bikes, mods I have done to mine and of course I had to tell him about Venturerider.org and that here is where I got the info to do the stuff I've done. Maybe we'll see him around, I'm terrible with names, but I believe he said his name was Rich.

Is this the part number I need for my '85? The boat place and BB does not show it for '85 and earlier. I need two hard and two soft washers. I can't readh the fische for mine. 12R-14105-00-00 BB has it but shows three listings and a boat place has it for cheaper. I'm continually amazed at how talented my kids are. Probably it's because I don't have these talents. My two girls each have blogs about the crafts, knitting and sewing projects they do. One does photography. My older son is at Weber State in the manufacturing engineering program. I think he likes it so much because he not only is learning the technical side, math etc, but because he gets to play with the machines. I love the cruise. What a pleasure it is to have something like that on a bike. NOW for the question. Where do YOU rest your right hand?? I simply just rested mine on the bar end weight because the throttle.
