It's not too early to start discussing where we should hold the 2013 International. I even thought about not having one at all as it seems that many prefer the regional meet and eats but I got a good bit of feedback in NY and everybody I talked to would like to see it continue. So, where should we have it? Now remember, there may be a lot of great ideas but the final decision has to take a lot of things into consideration. Primarily, WHO in the area wants to head it up and has people close by to lend a hand. It is a lot of work. I will start it. I have thought about going back to the Hub in Arkansas because it was a great location and Randall and Debbie did a wonderful job for us. I also thought about the Texas Hill Country. Very nice area but it can be VERY hot down there in the summer. I considered having it here in Ohio but I think it is too close to where we had it this year. Maybe I'll think about Ohio in another year of two. The floor is open. Let's hear your ideas.

my mother in-law has changed her admin password and now can not get in. no recovery disc, no password reset disc. I typed every combination of what she said it was that I can think of. ps. yes this is motorcycle related I gonna run over this thing with it. any ideas

I was working on my lower left fairing and cracked the lower fairing on that side. Does anyone have any ideas where I can get another one? Thanks Kent

Winston66, From down under in Western Australia, Well everybody, this is it, For some time now I have been considering a trike type conversion for my 1996 Royal star, something like the Wedgetail outrigger set up would be suitable. Unfortunatley here in Aus. the base price for the Wedgetail conversion starts at around $9,000-00 then there is the extras for the various options, This makes a factory bought item financially totally out of my reach. So I am forced to consider the viability of a home built conversion. As I do mot want to reinvent the wheel, so as to speak I would like to ask any one of you my fellow bikers that might have gone down this road, if you would like to make any comments or suggestions. Any and all of your input will be greatfully appreciated. I am prepared to consider any design parameters that are relevant and any comments and suggestions, and or links to other web sites I will rearly appreciate. Fortunatly I have a shed full of tools and stuff and I quite like building stuff.(have just finished a trailer build), and one fo my boys that lives with me, and who is realy very competant with mechanical ,stuff this project has caught his immagination , has said well why not do it as a fun thing over the next couple of months while the winter season down here is upon us. If anyone has any ideas etc. please let me have them as I have not built anything like this before and I need some good ideas. Hoping to hear some good feedback. Cheers to all. Tranny chatter 4th & 5th gear.. I have a 96 Yamaha Royal Star with 120,00 mi. on it..sometimes you can hear it in 3rd,...the chatter stays the same as the r.p.m. any ideas ?

Friday night I synced the carburetors on the old girl and then Saturday I put a little over 100 miles on her. I seems to be running pretty good. I really enjoy riding it. I do hope the gas mileage gets better though. I’m only getting 27 mpg. I put new plugs in it when I first started working on it but I have run a lot of Seafoam through it. I may need to put new plugs in it again. I want to thank everyone on this site for their help. I know that I still have some work to do and will need more help, but I feel like, because of all the help I’ve gotten, the bike has come a long way. Does anyone have any ideas on how to improve my gas milage?

First off, Thank you to the person that sent my a front brake house. Can't remember who did it, but I'm very grateful! If you look at the pic below I put an arrow at the carb that is sticky. I need some kind of guide to get it to run. Anyone has a how to take the carbs out to clean them or any other ideas. Thank you in advance -
I have a strange thing that bugs me. In the morning when I start my bike up, the headlight icon will light up for about 5 minutes then goes out. It does it less if it's warm out...strange. Any ideas? -
Just put a new Venom X on the front and now front end feels like I'm riding on tar snakes. It isn't any better than the old tire that was really worn, tracks to easily on any grooves in the road. Checked cold tire pressure at 38. Any ideas why it feels this way, leaving on trip in three days and not feeling real comfortable especially at slow speeds.

I started with the frame and engine Friday evening today I took it for a spin still have a long ways to go but it runs and moves and stops. I have everything but the tack working and could sure use some ideas. I know that the tack worked a year ago before it was taken apart. To be used as a parts bike so I am a loss as to why it wont work now. Thanks Orlin -
Dont know if this has been talked about allready but i have a rear tire that is cuping it only has about 2000 miles on it, just seen it today, any one have any ideas what can cause this ?

I’m getting very close to laying down some new paint on my MKI project. I’ve been searching for ideas for weeks but I’m still not finding what I’m looking for. I’d like to see some first gen’s with something completely different like graphics, or two tones (other than factory scheme) or some strange paint technic was used like marbling or spraying thru lace, or something just wild and different. I’m just not a stock kind of guy and single colors bore me, (although that’s likely where I’ll end up with mine). I’m not real creative on my own, but I can copy other people’s ideas . I have seen Venturous’ purple flame bike, but anybody got something else to show?

I have a 2006 RSTD. My Liner had a switch that was meant for running lights. The RSTD doesn't have this switch. So I'll need a switch and light ideas. I'd like to be able to turn them off and on separate from the headlight and the switch has to look like it wasn't an afterthought. Ideas? -
All, I installed a new set of driving lighhts on my 85 and have been told I should have used a relay, Where could I find the correct relay and am looking for ideas of where to mount one if I need one. Thanks -
YO! I have asked a couple of knowledgeable people how to remove the chrome from ABS Digny and Freebird and we still haven't got a way to do it so I thought I would open it up to the whole group for ideas. Here is the info: the chrome is metal not plastic and it is plated to the headlight bezel. It had a long bubble in the chrome and I punctured it and started to peal it. It would not come loose except for the little bit under the bubble. so now I have a ABS bezel with partially pealed chrome patches. ANY body got any ideas? I wanted to paint it black along with a spare front fairing I have. Already removed the eyebrows and may paint those too. A LITTLE HELP PLEASE.

Last week on my trip to Virginia and West Virginia I had a problem with my cb turning off. I would be riding along and it would just turn off. I had to keep checking and turn it back on. Later on before it would turn off an error message would appear that said cberr. I've never had this problem before, any ideas? Thanks

Hi All, I know the R1/R6 monoblock calipers will bolt on to our Royals front forks.. My question is if the same monoblock will bolt onto the rear? The caliper looks identical to me. Any ideas?

I have a motorcycle friend who just made a custom tool so that I can grease my speedometer bearing. He has a milling machine and lathe. He will be making 20 of these for the ordes I've received so far. Were were talking and I asked him if he would be interesed in ideas that members might have a need for tools, brackets, or other creative ideas. He is willing to intertain these ideas with possible solutions. He can make all sorts of things made out of various material and also anodize them if needed. One of his local customers is the Boeing Company so his machines has a lot of capabilities. His cost bases are very reasonable. Let me know if anyone has an idea and we can present them to the group to see if there might enough interest to move forward. He has a couple older Goldwings he is restoring and it really fun and interesting sharing stories of ideas. He is working on another idea of mine and as soon as I get a working prototype I'll share it with the group.

Hello my name is Ginny my old man is Mike the prob we have is that mike is 6'6" tall and has issues with the foward control and the boards. is there a way or any ideas as to how to move them forward about 3 to 5 inches? We just got the bick this month and this weekend he goes to take that safty class stuff so we can be apart of the American Leigon Riders. Plus just some us time togather with no Grandbabies since they all live with us. Anyways i am rattlin on sorry about that.. Any ideas or help we be sooo awesome.. Thank you Ginny -
Well old age and artheritis are taking their toll and I've got a hip that it giving me fits. In order to keep riding with the wife on back I'm looking at putting a trike kit on my Wing. (I'm getting to the point I'm not sure the leg is going to hold when I touch down at a stop on a full boat tourer with the wife on board, and I sure don't want to drop the darn thing). No problem solo on a light bike, but two up.... Anyway I'm looking pretty closely at the Roadsmith and the Hannigan. At this time I'm leaning toward a Roadsmith, but I'm headed to Hannigan's later this week to check them out up close. I'm looking for the most reliable and trouble free rig, and I like the automotive based components on the Roadsmith. Any thoughts, ideas, experiences? I'd appreciate your suggestions and ideas. Thanks!
