you said it all perfectly.if anyone ever took physics , physics says it all you can't get something for nothing and there ain't no free lunches. to put it simple. there definately ain't no such thing as perpetual motion. honda's been trying for years to come up with cars that set fuel economy records and so have all the manufacturers. they have hit the brick wall called the laws of physics. bill

linda and i will be praying for her jt. linda lost her hair due to radiation on her brain 4 years ago and again 3 years ago. she was very self consious about it also. hang tough, i know what your going through. always here for ya if ya want to talk. bill

just got back from a 160 mile morning ride, and realized that the leg position is'nt as bad as i thought. my legs were in such bad shape i was getting to the point that i thought i was becoming cripple. then i realized i haven't really bent them much in the last couple of years and my knees were becoming very stiff. this wing has been the therapy i have been needing. i can actually get down on the floor and get up by myself and walk with no pain. this is great to not be in absolute pain 24 hours a day, and able to sleep with out tossing and rolling, and can get my feet up on the pegs on my zx14 without cringing from the pain. hallaluyah.

heres my take on oil. i'm not really going to worry about it. nobodies going to do a thing about it. worring about it ain't going to change a thing. we got caught with our pants down and there ain't no fix. just a bunch of false dreaming that some one is going to come up with a solution. they're a day late and a dollar short .it just ain't gonna get any better before it gets alot worse. so i'm just going to enjoy riding my bike and do my own conservation to keep my cost of living on an even keel and most of all i'm going to enjoy the hell out of the rest of my life as long as my wife i got our health. i saw this coming along time ago and i'm ready for all the crap they can throw at me. even got my refrigerator box picked out for my second retirement.

don ,that sounds great to me. getting ready to leave in a couple of minutes on my wing to track down a couple of venture riders. not to mention i had some venturerider .org decals made for my windshield. plan on giving some away in the drawing at eureka springs. :2133:bill

sounds like a possible meet and eat brewing. i love to meet eat and ride. lets talk about it and maybe set a date. don't have any more vacation till the first part of august. might even be able to talk linda into riding along. bill:clap2:

you have constant velocity carbs .they automatically compensate for altitude air pressure changes.

trying to think of a saturday trip. maybe 300 miles or so. we are covered with water in the st. charles area that i like to ride. anyone around here got some ideas and want to ride with me. the bus wiil probably leave about 5:30 am in the morning. bill

hey jay the way i look at it is a little venting and arguing won't hurt a thing. i've been known to openly disagree with other members in heated discussions. no matter how heated i get i still think the world of them. they have a right to there opinion as i do. using fowl language, and name calling should be reprimended. but a little heated discussion is healthy. if it offends someone they should move on to another thread. i'm totally against deleting threads cuz they get heated. i say let them have at it as long as it stays clean. as far as religion or race goes that is a topic that should never be allowed to get started. politics, my favorite topic. someone degrading my country fighting words. snarley bill

went by my dealer the other day and he is going to get one new vmax with my name on it. no wait. he wanted to put my name on it. think i'm going to have to pass on that one. did get a brochure with all the specs. only going to make 2500. thats the plan so far. think it's strictly a test bed for the new venture motor. the max has possibilities, but it won't hold a candle to my zx14 for looks or performance. not to mention over $18,000 dollars. won't be any aftermarket stuff available for just 2500 bikes. the exaust would have to go. it's butt ugly.almost tops my warriors stock exaust. looks heavy, and for performance shaft drive is'nt the ticket.

anyone who is a dragracing fan that has'nt heard doug kalitta was killed saturday in a funny car crash. i think he was 46 and had a wife and two kids. i remember seeing his dad and don garlits at alton dragway back in the 60's. this was a real shock.he switched from fuel dragsters to funny cars recently and was driving a toyota. bill

rode 300 miles yesterday, and took off at 5 am this morning and rode a little over 100 miles to walmart and then checked the flooding. got home and took the zx14 out for a first time shake down run and got a mile from the house and had to race the rain back home. maybe i will get to ride it another day. :depressed:

main roads in st. louis are fine.i-70 wide open. i've been all over the flood zone around here yesterday and today.about the only bad area is between winfield and hannibal on 79. stay on the main highways and no problems in mo..

the new wing is finally fully decked out. put the eutopia back rest on this morning and my edsets. going to test everything in the morning. had to stop on the chrome because it was getting close to the point of being gaudy. just a couple of small touches left. there is just to much available for wings. getting to be like harleys,and the stuff is cheap. i love it. cheapest i ever got off on decking out a bike. i'm going on a flood check ride in the morning. if anyone wants to go along your welcome. the bus leaves at 5:30 am. will probably head up the west side of the mississippi to check on the small towns where the levy broke. wish i was younger so i could help sand bag , but would get in their way now. maybe there is something i could do to help. just have to see whats going on. just can't imagine what it feels like to lose everything you have. bill

worked an hour and a half installing my edsets and they did'nt work. i was pissed. called ed and after three calls we got it together. this man bent over backwards to help me. was going to send me half the kit for nothing to help me out. all of a sudden everything started to work. we can't figure out what the problem was ,but i think he would have flew up here to help me . what a great outfit for tech support. never ever had some one take so much interest in one of my problems. i highly recommend this outfit for your head sets. +10 bill:clap2:
