going to keep my vstar, majesty scooter, and zx14. the wing is my second car. going to beat the arabs on the oil yet. problem is this saving gas is expensive. lol

heading out 5am friday morning for arkansas to pick up my new goldwing. hope i thought of everything. got insurance, plates, cover incase of rain, helmet, etc. planning on riding it home around 300 mi., but taking my trailer in case my wife can't drive that far. hope i did'nt forget anything. really getting excited. plan on having them install kuyakyn highway boards before i head home so i can stretch the legs once in awhile.

just got my computer back on line. lightning blew my motem the other night. what a dry spell. anyway $ 12.00 for a new motem and i actually installed it myself, and it works. wonders.

this is going to be a real blast.working on tshirts and patches now. some of the best riding there is and i garrantee we will have the best group of people you will ever meet. not to meantion lots of eating. see you there. bill:2133:

post a meeting place in your area get a host motel lined up close to the meeting place,and set up a really scenic ride about 200 miles and they will come. i usually meet on saturday morning and have a breakfast some where,then the ride,and dinner at a restaurant. this year i had a barbeque at my house. got to make it worth them coming a long way so the earlier arrivals came to my house for coffee and pie on friday night. this was my third and best one yet. had people from canada, texas,arkansas oklahoma,and illinois,and missouri. i think i had the most fun just watching everyone else have a good time. bill

i know how you feel.this year i did'nt think i was going to have much of a turnout, and people came out of the walls. best meet and eat i ever had. still floating on cloud nine thinking about the great time i had. going to really try to out do myself next year.

well no one has ever made a plea like this that i know of ,so here it goes. we have around 5,000 members on here, some just sit back and enjoy the benefit's. alot of us are doers. nothing wrong with that. but in my opinion we need more people around the two countries usa, and canada to sponser meet and eats. believe me folks they are more fun to get together than you can imagine, and a great chance to meet great people and help promote a great site. i love seeing people get together and have a great time. i enjoy putting on meets and attending them. it's not hard to do. if anyone wants to have a meet and eat but does'nt know how to do it just ask and i and many others would be glad to give you input. i know i could do one almost every weekend and never get tired of it. nice thing about meet and eats is the people that don't have alot of vacation can participate if they are close to home. so think about it and lets do it. bill :clap2:

what i noticed when i put mine on was much better low speed handling,and more agressive at highway speeds. took about a half hour to get used to the touchy straight line handling. great imnprovement over the stock width. with over 10,000 mi. on my avons i would never never look back. bill

i sat on one and i can flat foot it and bend my knees. has a much lower center of gravity. don't think it will be a problem in parking lots. feels as low and light as my v-star. so many goodies available, it's going to be fun just dreaming, looking and maybe doing a little shopping. just don't know where to start. guess i better get the bike first. highway boards will be first on the list. got to stretch these legs once in awhile. bill

anyone in the st. charles, mo. area that wants to go on a good breakfast ride tomorrow morning let me know. if you want to go the bus leaves at 6 am. let me know fast and we will get a meeting place. i'm going for sure. will ride till about 11 am. probably head out toward montgomery city area. bill

well i went and did it. i bought a new wing off ebay. found a price i could'nt pass up. got the color i wanted,(dark red metallic), premium sound. i am so excited just sitting here floating on air. got to drive to honda of russelville, arkansas next sat. to pick it up. the chroming is about to begin. don't worry i ain't ever leaving here. still have 2 yamahas in the stable. and i won't let you all off that easy. got to have a snarley bill around to stir the pot. this is my family and i'm here to stay. :rasberry:

one thing for sure about this forum. if i do get a wing at least i know i can still ride with you all. how do i know this you ask? because you have put up with my snarly butt almost from day one, and i ain't been run off yet. besides i ain't got a wing yet. bill

i think your trying to stir the pot in this tread from the git go. you got to get up early in the morning to offend me. my friend wingman happens to be alot of peoples friend on here. the facts are an 1800 wing is alot faster than a royal star. there are several on here that have both that can attest to that. who cares which one is fastest there both fairly slow bikes by my standards. they weren't built for speed. i like them both. if i want to go fast i ride my fast bike.:cool10:

haven't really noticed a lovefest for a goldwing on this forum. never met a bike i did'nt like, thats why i have a few of them laying around. probably no one on here is a bigger bike fanatic than me. i do bikes twenty four hours a day. a wing is better in alot of ways and not as good in some ways. i just can't handle the top heavy weight of the royalstar anymore so i need a luxury ride that has a lower center of gravity. the wing has it. if i get a wing i will still be true to yamaha i still have three in the stable. in fact i'm true to all brands as long as they have 2 wheels. and last time i checked this site is open to all brands. i did'nt really hear anyone trying to convince anyone that a wing was better than a venture. ps. you want to ride with grandma moses on a wing follow wingman through the twisties in georgia. he's a great guy he'll stop and wait for ya once in awhile.

hey buddy that sounds like home. my wife pooped out on me saturday at the meet and eat on a little 250 mile ride on the v-star. she keeps twisting my arm to get a new wing. lol. who knows what may come up this saturday. won't part with my 1300 v-star. great for solo runs. i still love it. bill
