Speed bleeders work JUST like they say they do. I have them on all my brakes and clutch. Great product!!!!!!!! Golf&Venture: don't fill it up to much. if you spill on the paint it likes to eat it and quick. ALWAYS cover your painted parts. and use a barrier to like a plastic sheet. SAFE is better than sorry. I also made the assumption you were not just bleeding your brakes and clutch but flushhing the old fluid out and replacing it with new clean fluid. That being said fluid is still cheap even if your just bleeding and not flushing. Have a great day playing with the bike. It is supposed to be in the 30's and even in the 40's this coming week so I have toys to play with. YAHOOOOOOOOO!

Would you like a little cheese with that whine? LMAO Ya it has been real fun all winter. You can have this crap. It has been below 20F for 3 fricken months. I feel your pain and you can keep it. Come on week-end it is supposed to be 30+. A regular heat wave! I may even mow my snow just for fun!:rotf: -
Better from scratch! BUT you don't need better the HF, it will work just fine for as long as you will ever need it. There is lots of proof from all the riders on this forum. Me being one of them. Good luck Flyinfool. SAVE your money for beer and wild women.

I didn't keep track when I did the 2nd Gen but It was more than 4 pumps. Fluid is cheap. I would pump four or five Reservoirs throuh the system before calling it good. Just my 2 cents worth.

That sure seemed like a lot of work. The guy looked like he knew what he was doing too. Big Job for anyone.

Oh and the cigarette under the scoot may have made a little contribution too. :moon: LOL Bubber

When I get home I can Ok I measured it and it was 6 3/8 inch Has anyone flipped the axle to the top of the springs just to lower the CG? I thought I did but I will check that too. Checked it and it was on the bottom of the spring, so no help there. It really doesn't look like there is room to put the axle between the top of the spring and the frame but I may be wrong. :ignore:

The Avion in that time frame used anodized aluminum and it is hard to difficullt to polish it to a mirror finish, besides I heard that it cost about 5 grand to get them polished. I am pretty sure that is way out of comfort zone, and my wifes!!!!! I have seen Airstreams polished and they look great but I wonder what it takes to get them that way and what it takes to maintain it over time. I'll bet that it is extremely labor intensive to maintain. Bubber
