  1. Don't let ScootBob see this he wants to build one too! Is this a concept or do you actually have drawn-up plans for it? I also was toying with building another teardrop but more of a camper style like what you have shown. Good luck on your project and keep us all informed. Pictures are good. Steve
  2. Money Order sent out yesterday. Thanks Gary for the effort. Il'll being using it sometime this winter for sure. Bubber aka Steve
  3. Shout me a PM and I will see just what it is that I must have. I am going to try to straighten the bars this weekend. That will help, then clean it up to see just what it is that I have. A manual would be real neat to have!
  4. Do you really have parts for a 69 CS1 in your collection? :yikes::yikes: That would be great! Please let me know.
  5. Well my 3rd Gen arrived today! Courtesy of my wife's cousin, Wes. I guess now I have something to play with this winter. It turns out the title says it is a 69 CS1. It is a 180cc twin two stroke. Any body got parts for this dinosaur? handle bars front blinker lens manual would help too. others I am sure.
  6. I looked at your schematic and all I can say is do you have that in english for those of us that are severly electronically challenged? LOL Sounds like a great idea...best of luck with your project!
  7. I was talking to Rocket and he mentioned he had heard about using Pine Sol for degreasing carbs so I went searching the net. Here is what I found! Hope it help someone. Pine Sol as a degreaser? Yep, that's what I said. I found this great little trick from "Frank" at the DOHC Custom Forums. http://www.cb750c.com/modules.php?name=Forums He recommended that I use Pine Sol as a 1-3 day soak for the bank of carbs of my 1983 CB1000 Custom. The goal of the soak was to clean the carbs as a bank with most of their internal parts removed (jets, floats, ect) because seperating the 4 carbs is a pain. And it's just plain easier to do a soak than to disassemble the bank. The Pine Sol won't damage rubber/soft parts, is easily washed away and is environmentally friendly. When you're done your parts will smell fresh too - So I bought 3 big bottles of Pine Sol (not the generic stuff) and a plastic box big enough to hold the carb bank. You can scale this up or down as needed – Then I emptied the 3 bottles of Pine SOl into the box and added 1 1/2 bottles of water (this topped the carbs, completely submerging them). Though you can't see it very well, the stripped carb bank is really nasty between the carbs in this pic – The I sat them into the vat - I let them soak overnight and then rinsed the bank off with high pressure water- they looked like new – I have also used the "vat" to clean many other parts. With it's small size I just move the vat & the small parts up to the sink and then can easily wash the Pine Sol off the parts with warm soapy water (Dawn dish washing soap works best- without the hand lotion). I do suggest that if you are going to work in the vat with your hands (scrubbing deep grime with a tooth brush for example) that you wear protective gloves as the Pine Sol will strip your skin of all oil, really drying your hands out. Also, best to keep the vat outside unless you want the house to be overwhelmed by the pine odor. 10. I was just looking at the pictures from around the country of people honoring our veterans. I cannot express in words how proud I am to have my birthday fall on such a great holiday that honors our fallen, our living vets and our serving vets. And that is why I will never forget this day as long as I live. Thank You all our vets, thank you for your undying service to our country and our way of life. Two of my brothers have served and both have now passed on. So I salute my brothers along with the millions that have also served. GOD BLESS YOU, and God's Speed! From a greatful country and the land of the free, thanks to them. I have to go now and remember my brothers and find a nice quite place for a little while. Steve Proud to be an American
  11. Why thank you kind people and thanks for not asking how old this old dog really is! I seem to remember Noah gathering animals two by two. I just really hate telling really BIG lies to everyone. LMAO Some is OK....... but not to everyone..... at least all at once. With witnesses. I better go, I think my foot is to deep in my mouth already.
  12. http://vintageconnections.com/images/Pa020023A2.jpg Four leads into one. Also adaptable for three leads into one and two leads into one (Y-connector). Comes complete with a clear molded insulator. THIS MY SUGGESTION BUBBER
  13. http://vintageconnections.com/images/Pa020023A1.jpg Four leads into one. Also adaptable for three leads into one and two leads into one (Y-connector). There is no molded insulator available for this terminal. From Vintage connectors is my suggestion! Bubber

  24. Since I took the car to her cousins I didn't have a way to haul it back so her cousin is dropping it off on his way to go deer hunting in Wisconsin on Nov 17th. Here is what I know (and not for sure) 2 cyl 2 cycle 180 cc what I remember the pipes are high and there was a skid plate. I tried to look it up on the internet and they had way to many designations back then. I think it is a YR1 (maybe) YL1 ???? It was confusing and they all looked pretty much alike. It for sure is a 180cc. chrome fenders frt and back long tank with a rubber pad on the side with Yamaha name plate. tail light was high key was in the headlight bucket side handle bars had a bar across the bars from one side to the other. everyting else is a blurr. 25. Well kind of. It is new to me and not so new to the previous owner. It is a 1967 Yamaha 180 cc. I was at my wife's cousin and he had to go out in the country to pick-up a tractor, so I went along. Well we were standing there shooting the breeze and I noticed a MC in the garage. So I asked about it and the guy says they were going to move it to the shed and kind of forget about it. So I am in there looking at it and it rolled back and forth so I wheeled it out into the sun light which it hasn't seen in years. It had been dropped while they were riding it in the yard and bent the handle bars and busted a light other than that it was all there except a side cover and the chain which they located a little latter. Well after all the dickering and hemming and hawing I ended up buying the bike. I think I may have been taken though the guy I was negotiating with, well it wasn't his first rodeo that is for sure. He was in his 80's and had been around. Well I opened my wallet and negotiated that last little bit I could befor I paid him. I hope I didn't over pay to much. Is $22.00 to much?? :crying: CASH TOO! My brother-in-law thinks I overpaid and got snookered and he is always right, just ask him. Dang I hate that when that happens. Oh well something to fool with this winter.
