  1. Just run the wires to the inside of the front fairing and splice into the wires for the power outlet. Thats what I did and it comes on with the key.
  2. I have installed these along with the Kurykayn end weights and the contured throttle boss and love them....EXCEPT...I am getting the tingly feeling on the throttle hand only and my hand is going numb. My stock rear, a D404 is cupped pretty bad and I am replacing them this week. Hopefully this will take care of the issue. I hope so cause I really like the grips . Anyone else experience this?
  3. Man this is a great opportunity. I would love to talk about being a local dealer for your product. Below is the contract I know its kinda long...but lawyers are lawyers:rotf:
  4. Liked and shared. Always glad to help for a good cause!
  5. Yep, the allens on the back side towards the driver, 8 total. The top two allow you to remove the chrom ring. Then there are about 6 more under the chrome ring that hold the windshield on. They must be removed as well. Once you remove these, gently pull the windshield out and store it someplace safe. Also, there is a allen head underneath the headlight that must be removed as well. A couple of words of caution: Place a blanket or heavy duty towel on you front fender just in case. When reassembling the fairing, don't overtighten the allen heads. I broke a tab that way. They are pretty flimsy really. You will see what I mean once you have it apart. One last thing, if your bike has the passing/fog/driving lights installed with the turn signals, you will most likely have to remove them as well. There was a post on hear about making a bracket to place behind them so you wouldn't have to so maybe not. If you do have to remove them, pull the chrome cover off of the center bar of the light bracket and there is 2 allenheads behind it that will allow you to drop the driving lights down. I'm probably making it sound more difficult that it is. Take your time and be careful and its pretty easy
  6. Well, found out that I CAN pick my 2nd gen up by myself. In a hurry to a Patriot Guard Ride Sunday and had to run to Walgreens before I went. Went to leave and as I turned out of the parking area to the drive, the bike stalled and down I went. Needless to say I was embarassed. The worst part was I went down on the right side and I was so out of sorts that I didn't think to put the kickstand down before I lifted it up. Lets just say the look on my face of "Now what" once I had it up was almost as funny as watching me try to get my left leg over the bike with the driver backrest fighting me all the way. At least I didn't drop it again! LOL
  7. not sure but I had lots of interference from the CB being on with my radio. Turned off the CB and everything went away. Don't remember if it showed up as RX though.
  8. Yep, thats why I always use my debit card as a credit card. There are stories of people putting small cameras on the pumps and getting peoples pin numbers.
  9. Sounds like you should be cool there then. Just wanted to make sure you had that stuff. I had a friend that that happened to in a car and everything seemed cool and he didnt call the cops. Then come time to get insurance, the other person claimed he ran into the back of him. Sounds like you got all the info you need.
  10. Not to be a downer, but, the person that hits the rear end of the other vehicle is put at fault. I hope you got some documents stateing she backed up into you. Hopefully a witness or too as well.
  11. Friend of mine gave me an Avon rear tire off of his RSV that was almost new, he bought the bike and put white walls on right away. Now I'm thinking of not using it with all this cracking issue. Any suggestions on the best tire now? I currently have Dunlops that came on the bike new. Tks

  15. While I havent joined the Patriot Guard Riders yet....very soon. I am a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and many of our members are also members of the PGR. Everyone needs to be very careful around these people because litigation is how they fund themselves. They get you to do something stupid and then sue you. I heard that they have a guy from their church make their signs and they have reciepts for them that are $10000. So tear up one cardboard sign and your out $10000.
  16. I agree will probably break again. I fixed mine that broke with good ole JB weld. Its better than duct tape!!! Good Luck with the warranty though
  17. You can try my clearview XL with the vent for a bit if you want. let me know
  18. Mine is the Utopia one and it has storage. It can come off and be used as a purse as well.
  19. Thats one heck of a good friend you got there. You should be nicer to him.....
  20. I haven't found it hard to remove at all....just wipe on and wipe off....maybe its cheap at biglots cause its way to old?
  21. Had one of them moments yesterday. Was riding in a group and I was 4th inline of about 6 of us. Had a car almost run a stop sign on a side road. The bike in front of us speed up to get out of the way. Luckily I had spotted the guy coming pretty hard towards us. I had already slowed up some and was breaking hard when he finally stopped. He then looks at us like we were in his way and it was our fault he had to stop. Like others commenting here, I got the TALK from my wife on why I wasn't going to turn around and have a TALK with them. LOL:rotf:
  22. I bought it to ride it not clean it! Having said that. I always clean my bike really good and wax it in the spring. I bought the turtle wax ice kit. So I have the cleaner, wax and detailer. I also use Never Dull for the chrome. Its the best stuff on earth for chrome...also for brass, just ask a vet. The rest of the year I just do one of 3 things depending on how dirty it is. 1. I use a swifter duster to wipe the dust off. 2. I use the turtle wax ice detailer to clean up any dirty areas. 3. I use the Honda brand spray cleaner and polish to clean the windshield and remove the bugs. This stuff is the best stuff I have seen at removing bugs and it puts a nice barrier on the shield to let the rain run right off! Good luck and Happy cleaning!
  23. My only suggestion is that if you do get a bigger shield, get one with a vent installed. I have the clearview XXL and if I didnt have the vent I would get overheated very quickly. When I ride with the vent closed, I have almost no air movement. On the plus side for me, a friend of mine had installed the 8" smoke on his venture and my wife loved the look. I now get to ride with my face to the wind again for tooling around home and the clearview for long trips!
