  1. I don't know about the Road King pipes. After hearing them and comparing them with BUBS and Krome Werks, Krome Werks have a nice deep rumble, the BUBS I heard were loud, and Road King seem just a cut above stock pipes in sound. I would like someone that has Samson's to record and post the sound.
  2. Yeah there was some other sites there too, but the Mechanic refused to take pictures and would not give up her camera. :rotf:
  3. And here I thought you said you were coming the South Carolina Meet and Eat on the 27th?
  4. Here are the photos. Yep, another day at the local Harley place this time. No wonder Harley can get away with selling bikes at the price they do. Inside this one were two Screamin Eagles roped off, the aniversary additions, both around $35,000 and both with Sold signs on them. http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Sleeperhawks%20Mechanic%20Sept%2030%202007/ We also added another member photo for Dave and his bike.
  5. Yeah right, jilted again.
  6. What is Ecity and what Meet and Eat? And BEER30 did not say a word to us yesterday when he and Bobbie talked. Bobbie didn't know about this too. The only one I know about is on the 13th up there and we may not be able to make that one. We had our own meet and eat down here with DAVE38X and DQ too. :cool10:
  7. here is a pic of one http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Members%20and%20their%20Rides/?action=view&current=IMG_7537.jpg
  8. Mine cracked where the screws were and my Dealer had it replaced under warrenty.
  9. Ask your wife. You thought you had $100. :rotf:
  10. Well it could have been a different cold table you were lying on. We all are very glad you were not hurt worse and be able to walk away from this.
  11. When you are pulling the caps off, the front ones go straight up, then bend to the outside of the bike. The rear ones, just pull the caps straight and twist between the chrome covers. Just remember when replacing, seat the caps all the way.
  12. If your clutch was slipping before you switched oils, you will still have the problem. Just switching oil on a clutch already slipping will not fix your clutch.
  13. Nate Thanks, bring them down with you when you come to the SC Meet and Eat. Or if you are coming on down to the meet at BEER30 this weekend, bring them with you or give them to RiderDuke (he is coming down for the ride at BEER30).
  14. If you don't want the fairing "eyelashes", I have a use for them? Let me know.
  15. So which part number did you order, V-Star, RoadStar, or the one that says for hydrolic clutch?
  16. Here is a site for them. http://baronscustom.com/catalog/display/973/index.html But if you wait until the weekend to order from this site, usually 12% to 20% off the price of the pipes and tips.
  17. I thought someone was finally burying their 1st gen and whomever was standing in the pic, was saying a prayer for the bike RIP. :rotf:
  18. Just be sure to put a small block of wood between your tire and the fender that your drilling the hole through. Don't want to puncher the tire
  19. How often do you replace them? Do you go by the service manual? Or do you replace them each time you replace the tires? and will regular wheel bearing grease work or a special kind of grease?
  20. That was a very good DQ, not the high price type DQ found in Muffinman's neck of the woods.
  21. Have used the BOSH 3323 (long filter) from my 2nd oil change till now. No issues with this filter. My local Autozone store carries these filters along the the Mobil1 Motorcycle 10/40 oil.
  22. I would go with the same weekend as Vogel, the 3rd weekend in August.
  23. I guess I can drag the Mechanic and myself to this event. We can all ride up and down I-40 and play dodge ball with the truck drivers. Also, there is a very nice ride from Ashville to Lake Lure (which is where Chimney Rock is located, the place where the movie Last of the Mohicans was filmed). I would not do this ride on a Saturday though, very congested there. :cool10:
  24. I dropped my bike sort of on the way to Vogel, but I held it long enough for Muffinman and Bobbie to help me get it back up right with out it touching ground. Thanks again Muffinman and Bobbie (my Mechanic )
