U1421-IMPLAUSIBLE IGNITION KEY OFF TIME RECEIVED For a complete wiring diagram Refer to Diagrams/Electrical . When Monitored: Ignition on. Set Condition: The fuel volume message the ECM is receiving is implausible. The circuit is continuously monitored. One Trip fault. http://library.alldatapro.com/alldata/LIB~C47276~R0~OB0~P3R0H~N/0/128809663/133161733/150241583/150241585/34853741/34857029/34857030/34857663/122915129/145252585/154941165/138320998/136281563 Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. See: Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview . Theory of Operation The Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) isn't receiving a fuel volume signal over CAN B from the Cluster Module. The TIPM has to send the PCM a fuel volume signal over CAN C. The signal the TIPM sends over CAN C is implausible. Diagnostic Test 1. ACTIVE DTC Ignition on, engine not running. With a scan tool read DTCs. Is the DTC Active at this time? Yes Go To 2 No Refer to the INTERMITTENT CONDITION Diagnostic Procedure. Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. See: Verification Tests\Powertrain Verification Test 2. CAN B BUS HARDWARE DTCS ALSO ACTIVE With a scan tool check for DTCs in the TIPM. Are any CAN B Hardware related DTCs active at this time? Yes Diagnose and repair the active DTC(s). Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. See: Verification Tests\Body Verification Test No Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module. Here is the untimate bike.

I ran this tire until there was no tread and had no problem but I always kept 50 psi as recomended on the tire in it. Do you think that the lower pressures may be overheating them to the point of separation???

I sold my 86 Venture to my son and bought a 99 K1200LT and haven't regretted it a bit. This is the best riding bike I have ever been on and I have been riding for 40 yrs. I do all of my own service and changing the oil is really easier than the Yamaha. There is a forum that I belong too much like this one that has BMW riders that are eager to help with any troubles you have and used parts are abundant. The address is: http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/cmps_index.php? This is a great bunch of people but I have become attached to you guys so I am not going anywhere soon. P.S. this thing has a dry clutch so you can run any type of oil you want in the engine. I use Castrol 20W50 in mine. It also has an external alternator like a car on it. Oh, I forgot to mention it has a 6 CD changer and reverse.........

I ride a 99 K1200 LT and had a new Metzler on it when I bought it. The tire had good handling but after about 8000 miles was very noisy. I think I got about 12000 miles out of it before I changed it. I purchased a Bridgestone for the replacement and now have 4000 miles on it without any noticable wear and handles great. I love this bike and handles better than any bike I have ever rode and I have been riding for 40 years. This bike has loads of horsepower and gets 50 mpg consistently.

I think it is sponsored by ABATE and will be in the Convention Center. This will be a large ralley and Hot Springs has some of the best riding around. Take Hwy 7 north and enjoy......

Your radiator is missing, just saying........

I have found that quick steel works better than JB weld. I have even patched an engine block once and rode it for many miles and sold the bike and it was still holding.

I would figure that to be about a week up and a week back with a week to do some site-seeing. 3 weeks should be plenty of time. We had one Canadian come from that area to the Hub meet in Harrison, AR and drove it in a week and took his time.

lower one of your corner poles lower than the other and the water will run off. That is what I do on the oning of my camper.

Some new thoughts on clutch basket whine
ctraylor replied to straycatt's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I believe if the gears could be changed to helical gears the whine would be gone. -
We will be there on Saturday...or late Friday

I pulled my small trailer (200 lbs) or so about 800 miles and averaged 50+ mpg with my BMW so figure will get close to that with this trailer also.
-
Here is the one I am looking at. The owner says it weighs about 450 lbs. It is all aluminum and it is hard to believe it weighs that much. I guess I should say that I will be pulling it with a BMW K1200 LT and not my Yamaha. I sold my Yamaha to my son. http://i.ebayimg.com/03/!BzVRkHg!2k~$(KGrHqMOKiUEwRZSqhv0BMVjf2V-rw~~_35.JPG http://i.ebayimg.com/02/!BzVRY0wCGk~$(KGrHqIOKj!E)O!,jMT5BMVje+(jTQ~~_35.JPG

I have found a good camper trailer to pull behind my bike but the trailer weighs a little over 500 lbs loaded and I can get it for a good price. My Question is: is this too heavy to pull behind a 1200 cc motorcycle. Has anyone pulled this heavy of a trailer before? Is it safe????

Speedo...dead
ctraylor replied to tpalshadow's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I have had them come off the speedo twice on me. If the cable is broke, NAPA has a universal cable that works just fine. You just cut it to fit and crimp on the end. I had to grind down one end because it was a tad to big in diameter. It has been working now for 20,000 miles and was alot cheaper than the one from Yamaha. -
Well great. I rode it last summer and it was a blast although I was pulling a trailer and had to take it easy. Oh, by the way, nice to meet you Curtis I am Curtis also.....
