A member who shall remain nameless for now has donated some 83 Venture parts to be auctioned to benefit St. Jude Childrens Hospital. I am posting the pics here just to see if there is any interest from the members, if there is sufficent interest I will post them up in the St. Jude auction. Please, dont make any offers for the parts here, just let me know if you are interested in any of them and we will go from there.

I think Squidley ought to bring it to Vogel or MD and let some more ride thru it.........if there arent any trees growing in it by now.......I know when it came down here we had about 20 bikes ride thru it and I was one of them, I got the patch to prove it....

I got me a trailer, finally, but its sorta weird. its got a cockpit mounted on it..........its a sider car body mounted on a harbor freight trailer.............. The trailer belongs to Weck, he couldnt get it back to Huntsville so Jamie and I went and picked it up for him.......now lets see if Weck can find my house..................:think:

YamaDuck told us of your accident after he arrived at Ecks gathering. Our prayers are with you for a speedy recovery, heal fast and get back on and ride.........Sorry you missed out on the beautiful weather, not the way you wanted tos pend your weekend I am sure............

The Ga. contingent of Venturerider had a little dinner celebration for our very on Weck....I mean Eck. He was in town to pick up his new ride.......a Goldwing........but we still love Weck...er Eck. For such a short notice event we had 25 folks show up to celebrate with Weck.....I mean Eck. There are picture here but our master photographer Sleeperhawks Mechanic will post more after she has returned home and sorted through the thousands of pictures she always takes at these events. Weck.......Eck will publish the list of attendee's once he returns home. Everyone had a grand time and fine food, followed by the usual bull...t session in the parking lot and finished off at the local Dairy Queen. Thanks to everyone who showed for this last minute gathering, this group is great.......Now for the pics........

I just called Smokey Bones BBQ and warned them of a rowdy bunch of bikers coming tomorrow night...........Told them between 12-20........so when you show up tell them your a VentureRider...............thats who they are expecting..........See Ya'll there.

I opened up the article about the fi kit and when I tried to close it, it wouldnt close, in fact it kept opening new windows every time I tried to close, the only way I could get rid of it was to close firefox completely and reopen it new..........anybody else have this happen, it only does it for this post............what gives. Does it contain some sort of worm or virus. My anti virus didnt pick anything up.

We gave you 2 1/2 days notice..........Blame it all on Eck, I didnt find out till yesterday afternoon............and I found out from Todd(86er)..........but it dont take that long to get up here........shoot leave at 5:00 am Sat. morning and you can make it, and if anyone needs a place to stay Sat. nite, I got room, just let me know and I will kick the dog out of his bed and let you have it.........:banana:, actually the dog has his own room and bed, and a human wouldnt fit in it.............. This is an open invitation to all members not just Ga. members. Our own Eck and his wife Konnie are coming to the Atlanta area this weekend and we are planning on getting together for an evening of food and fun. Bring your wife, or significant other or come alone, come on your bike, in your cage, however you want. We will be meeting at Smokey Bones BBQ in Peachtree City located at 100 Market Place Blvd,Peachtree City, Ga. We will be meeting there between 5:30 and 6:00 pm. Saturday, April 4,2009. If you havent met Eck, this is your chance to do so, and maybe he will regail us with his experience with the Blue Mustang. Come on out for some good company and good food. Oh, just to let you know Eck is coming over this way looking at a replacement bike for his Liquid Silver. We have to persuade him not to buy a HD........... Map to Smokey Bones .

My wife loves my VStar and if she were to ride her own it would be a V Star........She doesnt like Harley's except for the V Rod, one of our friends wife has one and she really likes the sound of it. But she doesnt want me to have a Harley but no problem there, I dont care for them either, I had a chance to pick up an Ultra Classic, 97 for $6500.00 and I passed on it for my V Star 1300. Not one regret here and the wife loves it.

How did the bike handle at speed, did you experience any buffetting? I forgot to ask, what height is your windshield. I ordered the 7 inch windshield with mine and the lower deflectors.

Yeah its a shame that Yamaha wont put FI on its top of the line bike, they put it on some of the smaller bikes and newer models, their crotch rockets have it...........I can't believe that it would be such a major deal to covert the RSV to FI..............Wake up Yamaha, your going to loose customers over this thing........... I feel your pain Brad, I had a couple of bikes I rebuilt where I had the same problem and the fix was just to find another carb and replace it............Good Luck. -

I ordered one from S&S customs cycles and it will be here Monday, cant wait to get it mounted on the VStar 1300, that will really change the looks............. Your bike looks awesome.......great job.
