    I am getting near the end of the items for the St. Jude Auctions. I have just posted a new auction for 1 Crusin for St. Jude T shirt( XX Large), 1 Crusin for St. Jude Hat, 1 Crusin for St. Jude Pin. Remember, all funds raised are going to the Kids at St.Jude Childrens Hospital. We will be organizing a ride in late September to deliver the monies to St. Jude in Memphis, Tn. Squidley and Snarley Bill are also raising funds for St. Jude with their own efforts and will also be joining the ride to Memphis. So, mark your calendar for the latter part of Sept. and join us on the wonderful ride. Last year we had 19 bikes from various parts of the U.S. and hopefully we will increase the attendance and the amount raised last year. My thanks goes out to all who have bid,donated items for auctions, and supported the great institution that St.Jude Childrens Hospital is..................Just remember its all for the Kids, our future depends on the youth of today and who knows some of them may have been helped by St. Jude. Danny Thomas did a wonderful thing when he founded this hospital back in 1962. I want to be a small part of keeping it going and growing.     As a newbie your are presently excused for the lack of pics........Rule #1, when you acquire a new ride, modify said ride, or brag on your new ride, pics must accompany your post.......Take this as your first warning, get them pics posted or else you will face banishment...................:confused24:or at least the wraith of us senior members................ Enjoy your new ride and word of caution, this group is addictive:bang head: and we havent found a 12 step program to cure it...........but we really dont want to.............

    I have been caught a couple of times by surprise when the bungee I was trying to stretch to its limit reached it before it should have and those things can leave a nice mark......lucky for me never got close to my face, but it still hurt:duck:

    Only 12 hours left to replace that old torn used up seat on your 1st Gen. The auction will end in a little over 12 hours and remember all the money goes to the Kids at St. Jude Children's Hospital, and if the bid goes over $60.00, Squidley will pay $15.00 of the shipping charges, so lets make him put up some more of his hard earned cash :mo money:............ Thanks to Brad everyone else who has offered up items for auction to help the Kids at St. Jude, and thanks to the membership for helping make it possible with all their generous bids..........

    I have had several encounters with birds, mostly very big ones, when I lived in Texas I was driving to work one morning and a flock of albatross were in the road and they started to take off, but one was not doing a very good job of getting airborne and I ended up hitting him with the front of an 79 Plymout Volare, that bird went straigth up in the air and I saw him fall back to earth in a pile of feathers in my rear view mirror..........left a gigantic dent in the hood of the car when he impacted it. Another time I was traveling through Alabama late at night in my van when I saw this dark object come hurtling at my windshield from the right, it hit my windshield right where it meets the hood and the impact took off both of the windshield wiper arms off the van............To this day I dont know what it was, but it scared the living crap outta me............Hope I never encounter one while Im on my bike.......had a couple come close. The largest thing I almost his is a black bear, but thats another story..

    After reading this post.......I didnt sleep well at all last night.........at least I didnt have dreams about Beer30 running around in a thong..............but the image still bothers me.........I think I have been scarred for life. Thanks Gene

    Hang in there Pete, it may take some time but things will get better, have faith, we are all praying for you. I have a couple of friends that have had strokes and both have made full recoveries and are back to doing their everyday things, hasnt slowed them down one bit, now neither rides a m/c, but I am sure if they did they would be riding.     That mental picture blinded me, and now I am afraid to go to bed thinking about the dreams, or nightmares I might have about Beer30 in a thong...............:shock3: Even though his post was about Thongs (Slippers), that 1st mental picture still is there..............thank goodness he clairified his explanation..............but that other image still haunts me.

    Got mine in Oct of 04, with 59,xxx miles on it now has 88,000 and is presently undergoing a facelilft, hopefully it will be ready for the road in a couple of months.........83 1st Gen. fastest venture out there............1st Gens. Rule...............:thumbsup2:

    Crash, if you love the shirt I think you are gonna love this. I received this from St. Jude a few days ago.........I was floored, I had never seen one of these before.........Charlene said to hold on to it cause when I have to send you off to your final resting place I want you to be wearing that tie...........Sounds sort of ominous doesnt it..........Gee, I wonder if she is making some plans I dont know about........... But I thought you would like to see this...........the picture doesnt really do it justice.......Its beautiful!!!!!!

    I thought someone had been mia for a while........Hope things are getting better for ya.............Good luck with the wisdom teeth, I had 3 removed at the same time many years ago.......man that was a drag, had it done the day before thanksgiving.............on the plus side I did loose some weight!!!!!!!

    Thanks Bob. No snow here, again its another beautiful day, sitting here with the windows open, outside temp is 67 degrees. Feeling pretty good, but still have the headache...likely from all the codene in my meds........
