This is one addiction they dont have a 12 step course for, but nobody would take it if they did..........a great addiction and I have been addicted again since 2002. Bought my bike off ebay, was actually looking for a wing and kept getting out bid cause the wife said I had to stay within her budget........then I saw my black 83, looked at a few more on ebay, didnt bid just kept watching the prices, well this one didnt sell so when it re-listed the buy it now price was just under my budget, so I pulled the trigger, the bike was in Carrolton, Ky, and I didnt know how I was going to get it........when I asked the guy if he could hold it for a few weeks he said not a problem. He said it needed a new front tire and that was it, he owned a small shop and the previous owner had brought it to him after it set up for a few years...........he told him make it run like new. Well he did that,carbs, clutch, brakes, electrics, only thing the custome didnt have him do was the tires...............I told him put me a new tire on I will call him as soon as I find a trailer and some time to come an get it................He made me an offer I couldnt refuse and offered to put the tire on and deliver it to my door for an extra $325.00..............Still within my budget. I still have it and its now dismantled getting a face lift........and thats the rest of the story.

I have been a certified member of F.A.R.T. ever since my kids were born........and I also detest that rap crap especially when I can hear it coming from another vehicle that I cant even see at a stop light........I used to have a sub in my van that I would turn up every time one got close to me and play some old 60's rock, didnt help, just got strange looks like.........whats with that old F.A.R.T. -
Dont look too bad Thom, as least all the broken parts are off of it and you got bags............gotcha a real ratt Venture now.........

My 62 VW, which I owned when I was young and irresponsible, had washers that you could aim and they would go all the way to the side of the car so far as to miss the windshield............guess what...........The VW windshield washers were also powered by the air pressure in the spare tire in the front trunk, so we would air that puppy up to about 50-60 lbs and pull up to a bus stop or car with open window and let it fly..........and you didnt have to turn the wiper on, there was a button in the middle of the wiper on/off switch that you pushed and the only thing that happened was the washer squirted as long as you held the button down, you could shoot a nice jet of water about 6-7 feet with good pressure in the tire............you could also aim it to shoot completely over the car and onto the car behind you...........they couldnt figure out where it was coming from.............gee wish I had that bug back, forgot how much fun we had in it........... -
Im trying real hard to break Squids total for donations for his efforts last year.........got to top $3265.00 to beat him..:mo money:....got a long ways to go.........Hope I have a few items left to bring to WVSI and Vogel............

Tazmocycle sent me a pm suggesting that I put up some of the DVD video's from the Tail of the Dragon. Well I found one of the extras for the 2006 Tail of the Dragon, that Al Bates was gracious enough to give to me and I have placed it up for auction in the St. Jude auctions, this auction will last 10 days instead of the 7 that I do most the auctions for. If I can find some more of them I will post them up for auction also. I will also try to do the same for the 05 Tail of the Dragon if I can. Remember this is all for the Kids at St. Jude Children's Hospital. Just want to thank everyone for helping support this cause with me.

Just bungee an electric heating pad to the oil pan and leave it on overnight.........that should do the trick..........its cheaper:mo money: if you have one of them already..............

Havent seen a post on my "gift" lately, I hope it still in good condition, the winter has been pretty rough and I hope its been kept nice and warm.........or maybe whoever has it thought I forgot about it and decided to keep it for themselves. Who knows it may have even spoiled by now and got thrown away..............Just looking for a little update if anyone remembers it............:stirthepot:

Well today wasnt the best day I have ever had at work.........I stepped on a rubber mat next to my CNC machine at work and as I did it slipped out from under me sending me to the floor landing on my arse.............didnt hurt when it happend, but it is starting to hurt up and down my back now..............This was preceded by me missing 2 days, Wed, & Thurs, due to my scitica bothering me so bad I could hardly walk, sit or move without being in complete agony. Dr. prescribed painkiller for me and that did the trick, today when I went to work I was painfree for the first time in two weeks and then this happens, I filled out an accicent report as soon as it happened and notified both supervisors that it happened, I have a feeling that when I go back to work Mon, the facility manager is going to make me go to the Dr, and get a release to work before he will let me back in the shop.........he has done that to me once already when I had carpal tunnel problem. Just took another pain pill to see if I can get rid of it, And today was the first day I rode my bike to work in 10 days............man life can sure be a drag.............
