Rick, glad you guys had a good trip, I love when members get to come down and get some southern hospitality. I was very happy that we finally had some families here with their kids, they seem to add to the atmosphere. Hope to see more of that in the future, because this is a family site. Hope you guys can make it down this way again............2011 isnt really that far away......

If you have read any of the posts about Vogel, you might have read about the 2 older ladies that were given rides by Wingman (Jamie) and B2Dad. Here is a post from her grandaughter, it was located in the picture forum, so I thought it would be seen more posted here...... [ame=http://www.venturerider.org/forum/member.php?u=8233]VentureRider.Org[/ame] Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Thank You! I would like to thank everyone who was at Vogel State Park this past weekend. You made my grandmother's (Frances) and great aunt's (Rose Anne) day! you were all very attentive when "Ganny" passed out and me and my father greatly appreciate it! I would like all of those who met her and, most importantly, gave her a ride on a motorcycle that she is doing fine and that they could find nothing wrong with her. We think she just got to hot. I would also like you all to know that you've created a monster!! lol. Thank you all again, and we hope to see the group at the next meet & eat! Knowing how much Ganny and Rose Anne love to ride, I'm sure we'll be there! Last edited by Brandi; Today at 04:02 PM. Reason: Wasn't finished =)

Paula is fine, she has a few scrapes on her elbow and leg, but all in all she is doing great, she was up and around when we got back to the cabin and got up Sat. morning and fixed breakfast for us and helped out with more registrations and serving food, she is one tough lady. I ought to know she bullies me around all the time..............the bike is okay, just a broken windshield and a couple of small scrapes on the front fender. She went down in soft shoulder that was freshly laid down.

We made it home from Vogel about 3:00, got everything unloaded but not sorted out, that will come. I just want to thank everyone who came out to support our St. Jude effort, dont have a final figure yet I will be tallying that soon and posting it. I also want to thank all those that pitched in and helped with the rides, picking up downed bikes( only 1), carb syncs, everything mechanical, giving rides to little old ladies, not once but twice, food servers, those that donated door prizes, just a great bunch of people., But most of all I need to apologize to someone very special to me, I forgot to thank the most important person in my life, and that is my wife Charlene, while at the shelter I thanked a lot of people openly and forgot my loving wife, so, Thank you for all your support Charlene, I couldn't have done it without your support, I love you and thank you for putting up with me................

This is the first time I have trailered my bike anywhere other than the shop, and its my wifes fault, she cant ride or drive very long so I have to drive her while Jamie hauls all the bikes, I figured if he wanted to trailer, I wasnt going to ride alone................besides we need a trialer to haul all those 2nd gens that keep breaking down, back to the park............

Thats the one, but I thought it was an Exxon......maybe it changed or I just plain forgot, but it is the big one on the right about 1/2 down after you turn off 68. Eck from the picture it sure looks like an Exxon, but I cant read the signs, has the right colors............but that is the one.

Its going to be raining here in Newnan very soon, and according to the weather channel, they have rain in the forecast for the entire week...........Maybe we will get lucky, but I sure am glad we are trailering the bikes up to Vogel, that would be one nasty ride in the rain if we had to ride. Thanks to Jamie for getting a trailer for this trip. Hope the bikes dont have to stay on it. Keep your fingers crossed and pray for sunshine................ If it rains anybody for some poker...............

Good looking scoot Bill........only joking about you and Vogel. Take it easy and get your BP back under control.........no beer, and watch what you eat............I will see you in about a month.............

Hey Bill, riding that Nomad down to Vogel would be the prefect way to break it in...............:witch_brew:

Steve, were you planning on bringing your camper over to the shelter to do work under, if so dont worry about that, I have a nice canopy that you can use in the parking lot there so everybody will just have one spot to be for any work being done.........I will be using it Wed at check in. Lewis

I have used a product called Kreem, got it at my local M/C shop, it has everything you need to do the job and last time I bought it, it was about $35.00 for everything, but that was a few years ago and it might be a tad higher now........worked real well, used it on several bike restorations that I did .http://www.kreemproducts.net/wolthuis.aspx?productid=17&size=iconhttp://www.kreemproducts.net/c-6-combo-packs.aspx
