Looking for someone to ride to Memphis for the St. Jude/Mean Dog Ride. I am leaving Newnan, Ga. about 3:30-4:00 am Saturday. We can meet along the way. If your leaving from the Atlanta area we can meet at exit 11 of I-20, at the Mc Donalds, or somewhere else along the way if you want. I plan on arriving in W. Memphis around 11:00 am at the FLying J truck stop.

Food must have been really good.........you ate way too much, and lots of ice cream too I bet................next time show a little restraint when it comes to the ice cream........and you might make it through the yard..

Coming to my neighborhood, I have been here 10 years and haven't been to Powers Crossroads festival yet, to many people for me, and too much traffic to get down there, and then there is all that walking, I hate to walk, besides the wife cant get around that well and that is the only reason I would go........she went once, said it was too much like going to Mardi Gras...........people everywhere............:shock3:.. Enjoy your day there, there are yard sales set up everywhere you turn..............

Finally got the nerve to take a jigsaw to the stock windshield that came on the V Star, that sucker was 23 inches tall, now its just a tad over 19 inches tall, looks much better, and now I can see over it. Wasn't to hard to do, just had to take it slow and easy. I need to thank :thumbsup:Lowell and Steve Wagner for the tips on how to do it. I will be leaving it on for the ride to Memphis.

Next week this time I will be in Memphis, Tn. hopefully having lunch with a very large group of Ventureriders then off to St. Jude to give them some money and take a tour of the facility. Hope to see a lot of bikes and members there. Be careful. Our tour is scheduled for 1:00 pm, so I should be there about 11:00 am or there abouts.......I will try not to be late again.................. Fly J Truck Stop. W. Memhis, Tn.

You just missed us by 3 weeks, you rode most of the same roads we rode plus a few more, now you know where Vogel is, you have no excuse to not come to the next Tail of the Dragon V @ Vogel, that would be in August 2011.

Don, If I can leave Memphis early enough Sun morn, after the St. Jude ride on Sat, I will be there, might just show up at BMS after the ride if I cant get there in time, you are going to be there I hope, I will look for ya!!!!! Oh, and you better be taking your wife this time................LOL

About 18 years ago, I had to make a pickup there, it was a load of Tabasco going overseas to the Middle East, the Gulf War had just started and they were shipping it over for our service men and women. It was aprox 24,000 lbs of that sauce. I got a personal tour of the facility while I waited for them to load my truck..........very cool place.

Those two things dont get mixed much when it comes to cajun food done by a real cajun............I know, my wife and I are from S. Louisiana and she dont cook nuthin bad............ There are many good things to see and do while you are down there, wish I could make it but I am out of vacation time. You will really enjoy the tour of the Tabasco plant. I saw it many years ago. Its off the beaten path but well worth the ride.
