I remember in high school we used to play with the stuff. Including Rolling it around in the palm of my hand! Might explain a few things:whistling:

well Larry, I've never met you...but it's obvious you have a lot of good friends here on the site. I worked for several hours on a poem that, I believe, is indicative of the feelings of most of us. I hope you like it. Violets are blue Roses are red We are all really glad That you're not dead!

Carl and his lovely wife stopped by to deliver my T shirts. (Thanks for getting that all together Don! (XV1100SE) They had to get to their daughter's but had enough time to stop in and have a cup of coffee with us anyway. Great to see Marca again....and well....Carl too I guess! Unfortunately they were in the cage so I couldn't ride with them....but I still sent them on their way via a nice scenic back route.

Barring moisture or air leakage (which would result in fluid loss or performance loss) I think you answered your own question. My GUESS only -
Carl did the same thing at a gas pump this summer. Hee Hee.....he's on the road so won't see this until AFTER he visits here today!!!!

keep an eye on the level. If you have to keep adding fluid regularly, you could have a leaking clutch slave cyl. You may not notice it because it could drip on top of your collector and just burn off. That's what mine was doing and I had to top up every 2 weeks or so. At least that is what I'm assuming because there was never a drop under the bike!!!!

What are the weak links

The biggest problem you will find with a 2007 is that they are not a 1st Gen! Beyond that I think there was a recall on them .....something about the heads not properly tightened at the factory???????? Welcome to the site! I'm sure someone who actually knows what they are talking about will chime in! Most things can be fixed...but not the fact that it's not a 1st Gen! -
Looks ok to me....must have fixed everything up already.

Hey Dan! How'd you do when you paid for contractor work in advance?

Trader replied to adventurer 08's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
details, details! I know you folks in the states are always worried about a lawsuit....but around here tissue of any brand is still a kleenex! I bought a brace from Condor...and I think it is just Super. So for our purposes...we could call it a super brace! -
ouch hope all works out for you hands that work are kinda nice to have

I totally agree its all about the ride....but too many people "challange" their skills and try to Conquer a section of highway end up dead. I enjoy corners...maybe too much. There were many times I pushed it to the limit and scared myself. All the "what if's" come to mind. Part of the reason I bought a VR was because I enjoyed the sports bikes too much and I wanted to force myself to adopt a more leisurely ride. I still enjoy scraping the pegs but overall it's just enjoying the fresh air, the smells of the country air, and the view. Rarely is it for the adrenalin rush any more.

I love it when my gas mileage is so poor that I use 2 or 3 tanks a day! Tree's are looking good....probably be packing it away in a month or so.
