  1. Here is a little program that you can make yours or someone Else's voice work on your Garmin. I was thinking of having my Daughter Enter the voice commands. Like Daddy, I have to recalculate again damn it ! Or you can have your wife or girlfriend yell at you when you made the wrong turn! I think It would be fun to try. Just thought I would pass it along to everybody! have fun with it. http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=4754 Jeff

Very Nice! :happy65:and WELCOME to your new home! Jeff
  4. No your not dense. I am. I just have to learn how to fill my tank now with a different method in mind. remember I am new at this like you say. just a learning curve I guess. I need to learn how much to put in when. I never was able to fill up all the way before, and I happen to do this while the tank was warm. and watched all my gas leak onto the ground. I really think that with my tank at a different angle now I will really have to be more careful when doing so, I did not think of that when I wanted to do this mod.
  5. LilBeaver, you were Absolutely correct,, being my bike is triked and the tank sits more level. and when it is cold I filled it up no leaks, after a long ride I filled up again and got home and watched the gas pour out of the vent tube all over the ground. bike cooled down and it stopped. I wish I never did this mod. I am thinking of using JB weld to re-cover the punched holes now. Or just make sure before riding fill it while cold and go for that long ride I guess, if I have to refill I will just watch how much I put in now. Jeff
  6. 85 DAYS... and $488.35 in the pocket now. (smoke free)
  7. DITTO what widowmaker Say's. I got to try mine out tonight @ 45degs. I ordered them about 4 or 5 months ago. just put them on. It is one of the best mods. I LOVE THEM! Thanks Buddy! I also painted mine to match the lower fairing. Jeff

  10. My Mother In-Law was paralyzed from the waste down and the doctors told her that she would NEVER be able to have kids. she proved them wrong. she also brought her up telling her NEVER say you can not do something. this is back in the day , where there was no handicap anything. and she managed to get around. they went to McDonald's a lot My Wife learned to cook at a very young age. Mom in-law also worked until the day she passed away.
  11. Yicks... now that is bad. no way I would ride with them looking like that, sheesh. Heck my 10 year old Wing has some tiny cracking, from age. nothing like that though, going to change them this summer. as one of my re-build projects going on with that bike.
  12. Squid, A Belgian draft horse CAN even support YOU bro ! NO EXCUSES ! get to get'in

  14. I think you are correct in that they are JIS, I did however find that grinding a Philips screw driver down on the tip a bit helped a little bit better. I love the idea of the Allen head though.. did you have to grind the head of the Allen bolt at all? (to make it fit) Thanks, Jeff
  15. Jeff, thanks for sharing that story , that made my morning! bet you had a grin from ear to ear while she was beating him.
  16. Float levels. and like Squeeze said, if you didnt ride much during the winter, and kept starting it up and letting the bike idle a bunch of times you most likely fouled some of the plugs. my 2 cents
  17. I am lucky , I can still work.. I had intense radiation treatment for my cancer about 5 years ago just right after I got my RSV , the day after I bought my RSV I had to go to a 3 month treatment. and after that It did effect my lower back. I did however try for 3 more years with two wheels and the weight of the RSV just was getting to much for me to man handle. so that is one of the reasons I triked. so glad I did now. I also can still work at my Job. even though I want to retire RIGHT now . I feel for you Karl and you can vent anytime! hang in there bro! Jeff
  18. Ross, Let me know when your done with your battle on getting that screw out and if you damaged your lens. I will send you another one. just let me know if it is the clear one or the amber one , I just had one with the screw stripped as well, when I was doing my LED Mod. Mine was perfect, It broke off half way into the blinker housing! I had to replace the housing and that sucked cuz I had to run the wire back through my running lights. A 2 Min Job turned into and 1.5 hours might even have a extra screw for ya as well. Jeff
