  1. And what year and model is this bike? It might help so other might be able to help you better.
  2. This is what Rick Butler Say's have recently found since the rate increase last fall, the US Postal Service (USPS.com) is more expensive than UPS. UPS (ups.com) is pretty reasonable unless your box is too large. All of the shippers have web sites that have detailed shipping cost estimates where you enter in the zip codes, weight and box dimensions. And for a single cruiser seat, a 20 X 20 X 12" box is ideal, but a 18 X 18 X 16" box will work. If you have 2 seats, a 20 X 20 X 16" box will cover it. Most storage and shipping locations also sell boxes so you should be able to find the right box. Some will also pack it and ship it if that's what you need.
  3. Go back to shop... wait until you learn more on how to pull that fairing. ( just me 2 cents worth) The other thing is that your new to this bike, and the next Question you might have is were are the seat bolts? they are up under the front part and you will have a 10MM long type bolt to remove on each side they are kind of hard to find the first time, just put your fingers up under there. This will be to get to your battery. Keep us posted and join this wonderful site! It will be all the info you will ever need for you new ride AND WELCOME to your new home! Jeff
  4. $289.86 with shipping and a new gasket. partshark.com
  5. Thanks Hulk, That confirms my thinking!
  6. Do you have pictures on how you routed the wires?
  7. Oh No! now I gatta do that as well:D. Sheesh
  8. Dale, when you get them, make sure you use a little rubbing alcohol under the fairing before you apply the sticky side to it. and then they will never move. I have the blocks made , but I do not use them anymore. not necessary if you prep the surface right. you will love those darn wind blockers ! Jeff
  9. Thanks for posting those Mike. I got a pair of fronts on the way. Heck, everting else EXCEPT to small light bulb for the lic plate is now LED. Did you just run a wire up behind the brake hose's? birin, I was thinking the same thing , I think I am going to use a little heat as well. I will remove them first. Jeff
  10. Oh TOM, you just want to stay there cuz there is ICE CREAM I BET...
  11. Sheesh... even if I did have a room there now , I would cancel it. and move on down the road. Some really bad reviews. thanks for posting that. Jeff
  12. This is so strange how all this is so much different in each bike, I am the opposite of Adventure 1943, If I use Mobile mine gets louder and the MotorKote and the Amzoil I use makes it better, I just can not figure why this happing. I also am going to try next week , installing a 3rd (I) Basket myself. Just to see if there as been any changes at all in the gear cut after 5 years. If it doesn't work it The basket will be for sale. my own experiment. I will also be measuring my old (I) against the new one. So far I have used (D) (E) (F) (G) (I) (I) in my bike. Jeff
  13. ~~
  14. I am thinking for the price of renting one if that was even possable and the wireing and hitch for the bike, you could just order the less expisive piggy backer on-line (eBay) and you will have a tralier you could sell at a later date, most likley not though as you will love pulling it and want to keep it. I hope it works out for you , good luck and have a fun trip. Jeff

  25. Make sure you are using there chargers as well. or else they with sulfate If you use a plain auto charger they will never fully charge. I love my Odyssey Battery's and I own 3 now. I even brought my first one back to life after 5 years to full capacity after I bought there charger. I always charged that first one with a battery tender and a auto type charger. not my new one's though. Just my 2 cents worth. Jeff
