All rev'd up and no place to go! That's how I always feel when I've got a week before I head out on the bike. Anyways, I'll be on the road early fri am. Maybe I'll meet up with someone on the way. Hey Owl, hear anything from RED? Bummer, sent you a pm. Steve

Not only is Goose 100% correct, but think about it this way: You've spent many thousands of $ on the bike, plus all of the acc. including riding gear, and a HD pump is 40-50 bucks, and all you have to do is go to a HD dealer and pick it up. When you do, you will understand. Good luck, Steve

Clutch Basket Teeth!!!
eagleeye replied to EDGE1's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Might be a good place to ask this, and don't mean to hijack the thread, but what is the difference between the stock teeth and the I basket teeth? Steve -
Just an update on the link to register and find out about "PORK IN THE PINES" http://www.porkinthepines.com/ BTW Juggler, great job on the website. I was looking forward to seeing you again this year. Steve

Yup, it was good seeing you Bubber. Notice how I stuck up for you? Did you notice any difference with air in your rear shock? I keep looking for the registration page???????? I think that I registered, but not sure. Who's coming? List? See you all in a week or so. I'll be making the baked beans again. I'll leave here on fri. early and then decide which city I am riding through, twin cities or Duluth, hate going through both. but I'll pick one. Steve

Monty, Shake your son's hands for me and thank them for their service to our country. I hope that they stay out of harms way, and I'm looking forward to you telling us that they are back home with their family. Steve

Potential buyer questions
eagleeye replied to jgcable's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I happen to have a 2005 RSTD, and the reason that I bought it was because it didn't have all of that stuff like fairing, tour trunk, and everything else that makes a bike top heavy. Seems if you want all of that, you should just go and buy a Venture. If you want a RSTD without all of that, you will be getting a bike with lower center of gravity, and handles much differently. Better in my opinion. Good luck in whatever you get, Steve -
What a great story, Congratulations to you both. Steve

Home from trip with no OVERDRIVE
eagleeye replied to vegastruckee's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I've been following this and from what you have said, it didn't slip in 4th, and in fact put thousands of miles on it IN 4th, it did sound like a transmission issue. BUT--That was an awesome video that you took. Best of luck to you in whichever route you take to make it work again. But a kudos to you for making the trip. THAT'S an adventure!! Steve -
To answer your original question, yes there is such a thing made, and you can find it here. I bought a couple of them some years back and they do the job. They are called sunblockers and sell for $15.95. You can find them here: http://www.helmetheadcycle.com/product/1/the-original-helmet-sunblocker-sun-shield-visor-universal Steve

Now that Wisconsin has finally passed a CC law, (effective Nov 1 2011) I may be in the market for a good CC gun. Next month they are supposed to release the "training" requirements to get the CCL. I will be taking whatever is necessary ASAP. Don't shoot your eye out.

I'm not a star member, but I live 15 miles north of Middleton, so I'll probably stop in after work. Quaker steak and lube has bike night on Wed, and it's less than a mile away from where star days is being held. Maybe I'll run into some of you there. Steve

You held out and got just what you wanted. It looks like a real beauty. Congratulations! Steve

I think that you are just starting to realize what is important in life, but you've probably been there for a while now, I'm in the same boat. Brothers forever--- Steve
