An HID light leads should be 2 largers ones and they go to a Ballast. there would also be a hi/lo controller and that would have 2 smaller wires going to the bulb. You'll need to remove the ballast and the controller. The controller is probably plugged into the original 3 lead headlamp socket
-
Did you cut any wires ? The 3 prong female socket is part of the bikes wiring.

Wish I had the RSV paid off, I'd jump on that. I'll probably move to a wing in a couple of years. I just checked the new Vmax and those morons only put a 350watt charging system in that motor also. Which means any new RSV would be way underpowered electrically again. I like electricty.....

Glad your relatively OK. I did about the same thing on my 01 Nomad back in 02. But it was a drain gate that was about 3 inches lower than the road surface. Was looking at something inside the turn (you go where you look) and not the road. Launched us both up and out of the seat. The old Nomad was a lot more forgiving than the RSV is. Wife proceeded to yell and scream and slap the back of my helmet after she landed back in her seat....It was a firm reminder to always keep my mind on what's gonna be where I am gonna be in the next few seconds.

I have never dropped a call on my Android. And if you get Sprint 4G there's no limit on downloads on that. But its an additional 10 a month for the 4G, which by the way is way fast if you happen to be in a city where its at.
-
Actually the light always starts, But when you hit the start button you cause a voltage drop thru out the system and the HID's cannot remain lit at that low of a voltage. I have had that problem for the last 5 years. I just put a switch on the fairing. Leave it off when you start it and then after its been running for a few seconds flip it on. Works good for me.

5th at about 50mph and roll on the throttle all the way. If its gonna slip that's where it will happen at. High gear, low speed, and full throttle roll on. -
I have the EVO and I can actually start my own hotspot on it connecting up to 8 devices using wireless. The 4G is really fast in the cities that have it. If you have updated to Android 2.2 they built tethering into that version.

Down here even the cars drive on the shoulder and let other cars pass. Most shoulders are paved so its no big deal. I just slow a little and move over to the shoulder and wave them by. There are some true nuts out there, no sense in getting killed over their bad habits either on the road or in a confrontation trying to show them the error of their ways. Especially since they don't think they are doing anything wrong.

Like Jack said, check the rear shock. Look under the bike and specifically at the bottom of the rear shock. If there's oil on it that's a 600 dollar fix. If its super clean be a little suspicious. These bikes are really bulletproof in a lot of ways so look for neglect. You'll get the most whine at close to 35 in 3rd,45 in 4th and 55 in 5th... It you don't notice it around those speeds and gears your probably not going to be bothered by it.

Don would get mad at me if I posted them all. Use up all his server space... Problem is not doing stupid things in my case..:rotf:

2006 RSV fuel leak
BuddyRich replied to fw2000's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
You have a stuck float. Try tapping the carbs on that side. Also run some Seafoam thru them to clean the gunk out -
