Brad did a good write up on installing a splitter. It shows how to get to the area you need to get to. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3905 Cougar did a nother write up and in his first pic you can see the bundle you need to get to. Which is on the left side as you face the bike. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15370

Are the buttons actually sticking in, or is it that you push a button and the radio just doesn't respond. Quite a few of us have found that the connector for the Radio Control Head needs to be pulled apart and some Di-electric grease put in it. This usually solves the problem. Its under the fairing and if I remember right its the connector with the blue band on it

Leave it choked for the first 10 minutes of riding or so. If its choked right you so be able to start it right up and ride off after only a minute or so. May take some practice to get the choke where you want it the first few times.

Help!!!!!- rear rotor bolt removal
BuddyRich replied to OutKast's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
The wheel is aluminum and will conduct heat away very quickly. When you put the new rotor back on I am pretty sure the book says to tighten it down in 3 stages in a criss cross pattern so as not to warp the rotor. I know I had to do that with the front. Felt like a warped rotor till I pulled them and re tightened them following those steps. It was after a dealer changed my tire and pulled one of the rotors to change it for some reason. -
Glad you got thru it. I know all too well that feeling. Mine was mud but what a rush... Was that the original Bridgstone on it ?

Better have it checked. That is not a normal sound. A low Whoomp sound to me means a tire, And you really don't want any trouble from a rear tire.

That's about right. The tank traps about a gallon of air. A few of us have used a punch and punched some holes in the filler neck to allow more fuel in. I have gotten close to 5.7 in when running it down to no bars and filling it as far as possible

I have tried many of them and practice when ever I can. It does work. You just have to get in the habit of head and eyes and the friction zone and the rear brake. Anytime you do a U-Turn you should be doing it at the very least. Try the simple ones at first. U- turns at 20 ft and when your comfortable then go down till your at 14 ft or less in both directions. PEGSCRAPING at 2 or 3 mph is really cool.. :rotf: Pun intended

:rotf: How Many Minutes is that ?

Now you need to run a can of Seafoam thru to try to clean out what ever it is causing it to stick. If the Seafoam don't fix it then your takin it apart to fix it cause that stuff works.

I think Don is right. But you said the front fairing also. I would guess your talking about one of the lowers. A stuck float may cause that also. Especially if it gets worse right after you turn on the key and let the float bowls fill back up with gas

-
Actually You can go to the "Members List and select only your state for a listing. It shows there are 88 members in that state

I know, I know 65 mph and a 15 ft tall object going under a 13 foot tall object with a driver asleep at the wheel. At least he had it chained down good

Don't know if there's a way around it but since Ebay has redone their security I don't think we are going to be able to tell if we are bidding against one another on an item. Don added that field but then ebay now blanks out the middle of the bidders name. So no hard feelings if you get outbid by someone here. Don did try.
