Wife and I were there too, awesome day! Only saw about 5 other RSVs, met a guy with a VR patch on but didn't catch his name, he had ridden up from NC I believe.

Anyone coming to DC for this? If so I'd love to see if we could get together for lunch and you'd be more than welcome to ride with myself, the missus and a couple others. As always, I have a guest room as well if lodging is an issue as long as you don't mind dogs! Csogbk

Thank you, my primary question was how the mount would work. It looks like a mount for your bars and then the cradle is either mounted on a 90 degree neck or straight on. There really isn't any place on our bars that would allow you to mount it parallel to the bars and use the screen ( I have touch screen controls, docent require looking at it).

I have an 09 RSV and a Motorola Droid X cell phone. Its my music and GPS also. The phone dosent seem to fit my Ram Mount universal holder real well so I have it rubber banded on there for extra security. I came across the Rider's Claw and was wondering if anybody has one mounted on their RSV? If so any chance I could get a pic or two (the mount is made for HD but has adapter handlebar brackets for non HD bikes). I'd appreciate it and ride safe ya all!! When I went to police motor school one of the first things we did was find and learn the friction zone. The instructors placed bales of hay against a guard rail on a slight slope on the course. We backed the rear of the bike gently into the bale of hay, front facing upslope and over and over released the clutch just enough to find the "friction zone". Works like a charm!

Freebird I must have been looking at a link to an old post, my apologies. I got a set off EBay for $24.00 and will use P clamps to install. Still need topic up the V Twin clamps. Going to see if one of my local HD shops have them. Thanks for all the input guys!!

Had a few questions I was hoping someone could answer: Will any Harley touring bike mufflers work or are the Road Kings prefered? Can they be any year, I understand newer ones have a catalytic converter in them, does this affect sound or my RSVs engine? Will adding these mufflers require any engine adjustments? Are the brackets sold on the classifieds page still being made? Thank you for any assistance!!!!

Sylvester, Thank you first of all for your service to this Nation. I am a recently retired vet with multiple combat tours and struggle with PTSD. I am so proud of you, and what all our troops did under the horrible conditions in SE Asia. Secondly, thank you for your service in bringing this Hero home! Respectfully csogbk

All, gas prices being what they are, I am riding to work every day I possibly can. Problem is I have to wear business attire at my job. Any advice on how to pack a days worth of dress clothes so it wont look like it came out of the hamper when I get to work? My ride is 30 mins or so. I can't afford a custom riding suit so thats not an option. I ride in chaps and can only imagine what my slacks would look like after a ride in those. Thanks for any advice or experiences!

I'm a detective now but when I worked uniformed patrol if I saw the blue wheelchair symbol thats all I looked for. I doubt anyone has time to be reading the fine print (although your mileage may vary). Welcome and enjoy your trip! Let me know if you'll be in the Washington DC area!!

As a law enforcement agent, in this particular situation I would leave my weapon at home secured in my gun safe. Fortunatly, I can carry anywhere in the US under law!

Newventure, I am not sure where Shippensburg is but there is a Ride Like a Pro franchise in Southern Maryland (a 2.5-3 hour ride from Harrisburg) with classes coming up with vacancies. I highly recomend this class for slow speed handling and some awesome safety techniques!! Here is a link. If you come down for a class let me know, I have a guest room you're welcome too!! http://www.ridelikeapromd.com/ PS I just looked Shippensburg up, you're 2 hours or so from the area.
