A BIG well done to all. My rain gear was not water repellent and after a while I was soaked through and through and cold to the bone. Made for a miserable ride. Got back to Newnan about 12:30. Sorry Greg, I got there early and was at front of line, met CrazyFrog and his wife and rode with them. They were alone and I new there were four in your party. We picked up an asian fellow name Tony at the first gas stop and the 3 bikes stayed together the rest of the way. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_xOOWRVc9-a4/SsCvDvX5G2I/AAAAAAAAA28/_NHzUWsRpJ4/CleanGlass.jpg http://lh3.ggpht.com/_xOOWRVc9-a4/SsCvDhJgBrI/AAAAAAAAA3E/PKwRNCmroPk/kirby.jpg http://lh4.ggpht.com/_xOOWRVc9-a4/SsCvD5W0GWI/AAAAAAAAA3I/hr5CWZVrH-4/tony.jpg These photos are from the MTF forum site. I even got one of you Footsie. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_xOOWRVc9-a4/SsCvvfTeGOI/AAAAAAAAA3M/NNBedC5cqPg/s720/dsc_0094.jpg

We put our maltese, Buddy, in the plastic carrier and strap it to the trunk rack. We rode two days with him in the rain and he didn't mind a bit. He usually goes to sleep after just a couple of miles. He loves it.

I've used the Royal Purple MC oil in my previous bike, VoyagerXII, and it is really good. It held up better than the Mobil1 VTwin, and the Voyager ran much cooler with it in the summer. Problem was I couldn't find it much local so I stayed with the VTwin most of the time.

Check their forums, but there was an engine problem of some sort with earlier models, but it may have been the 2cyl RT. I believe the LT is 4cyl. Worth a check see any way.

Not the red one? I haven't got mine yet, but as soon as I do I'll fill you in on all the details.

Motorkote comments and tracking??
Wanderer replied to Judes Dude's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
1. Whine better. worse or no change? N/A 2. clutch better less jump when putting in gear, no change or worse any problems at all? Yes, and no big clunk to first. 3. Gas mileage better worse or same? better by 1-2 mpg. I've yet to get less than 39.5mpg. 4. overall engine sound. Smoother, no change? Improved. 5. Rpm speed range of noise tighter, same or shift as to duration on start and when it goes away? Does it go away? It is improved, but I never paid much attention prior to the Motorkote General comments about bike after using. I have noticed some improvements and that's good enough for me. I have about 1k miles now and initial conditions still apply. I will continue to use MotorKote. -
Thanks Steve, I've also been following some of your posts.

The Federal is according to the dealer on National back order so I let him send me the Nexxen. Hope I didn't screw up here. They look ok and I haven't heard to much bad about them. Should arrive this week. Then I have to find some one brave enough to mount them.

Congrats!! Know you're gonna enjoy it.

I've done this several times. I try as much as possible to hit the raise as close to a 45 degree angle as I can. It's a little unnerving, but not much choice when the roads I travel to and from home are under constant construction also, ie: I20, I85, and I65.

Kind of inside joke I've been having with the guys that got the Candy Red/Raven '09. Not meant to be mean spirited, just mean.

Don, I'm in Columbia, SC most of the time these days, but I do get back to Luverne every now and again. If there is any thing I can do for you when I'm home don't hesitate to ask. I mean it! Good luck on the surgery's, remember I'll be there to help if you need it and I can. Ted

Rode to Strawberry Plains, TN to visit my step-daughter and family on the 18th in the rain most of the way. Came back today most of the day in the rain. It was worth it though. Saturday saw a beautiful black RSTD on a trailer???? I went to say Hi, but you were pulling away. Saw you again on the way to the Rod Run, but the traffic was so bad we couldn't get together. Who the HECK are you?

Art, you got a new bike?
-

Congrats! I saw some prime parking just a little n.w. of your new home. Super!
