  1. I am planning on going there after work and see him again, hopefully he'll be able to leave withing a day or so. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers, both he and I, along with all the family appreciate it
  2. Ray made it to Coldwater Michigan last night and when he called me this morning he was getting into Ft. Wayne. He is heading I 70 over to I 57 and down into Memphis, he is going to attempt to get into the Litle Rock Arkansas area tonight. He'll finish the ride to Temple Texas tomorrow. As I get more info out of him I'll post his whereabouts up BTW....He is one happy camper with his new bike!
  3. Goose, You can see the nipple, and where the hose connects goes to with an inspection mirror. We did check the other connections on both front and back AIS units. I'll probably get with Zipcode this weekend and we'll make it happen. Unfortunately there's not a lot of room to get anything in there to reconnect it besides taking the pipe out of the way.
  4. Happy Birthday Walter!!!
  5. A bit more updating..... Don is doing well, pain yes, but typical Gunboat and feisty! He is in a private room and we went in there after he was moved from recovery. We were making fun of eachother, and making him laugh....which does hurt, but he is in great spirits. Thank you all for thinking of him, Lonna, Heather, Erica (his oldest daughter) and myself are going to head back in a couple hours to see how he's doing. Monkey Boy is there now with him and Doodles are soon to arrive at some point. As soon as more skinny comes, I'll get back on and spill the beans. He sends his thanks to everyone and says hello
  6. As many of you are aware Don (Gunboat) has the early stages of Prostate Cancer. Today is the day that he goes in for his surgery. If you would please keep him in your prayers. I dont often come on and ask for things like this, but Don is one of my very best friends and I love him dearly. Here's hoping for a successful surgery and full recovery.
  7. It has to be the last year for the Venture, no carbureted models due to EPA after this year if memory serves me right.
  8. Me....and her, hows that
  9. Very nice afternoon yesterday! We met Dana and his lady Sarah (hope there's an "H" on that) very good folks. He was great to work with, very hands on guy, he pretty much did all the swap of his clutch himself. We just gave him a bit of guidance and morale support, he did real good Ended up doing the clutch upgrade, tightened the steering head bearings and a carb sync. He insisted on taking all of us out to supper and we ended up at a little Mexican place we frequent down in Porter. Had a great meal with Zipcode, Dana and Sarah as well as my family. As always BS ensued and we could have probably spent another few hours doing more of it. Really appreciated being able to spend some time with Dana and Sarah, as well as Dave and Owen. Dana will fit right in here, and were looking forward to spending some more time with he and his gal. Thanks again for dinner Dana, we'll catch up again soon I'm sure
  10. About time you quit screwing around and stopped whining about the snow!
  11. I'll bump this back up top and just put my address on it.... 16164 Lone Star Ranch Drive Conroe Texas 77302
  12. Hey All, Dana (csmbrek) will be coming by to our place tomorrow @ 2pm to have some fixin going on with his bike. Nothing spectacular, but if anyone is a out and about or needs some basic maintenance done, the garage will be open @ 2 as I have half a day to work tomorrow. Iffin you can or want to make it PM/email me for an address
  13. Bring it by the house Dave and we'll put a carb sync on it, and check to make sure they hooked the AIS up correctly. Saturday afternoon, if Dana concurs, I'll be doing some bike maintenance after I get home from work.
  14. Seems bad dealers outweight good ones too often. Zipcode just got his RSTD back and had issues with how they put it together and called me for some help. Loose battery connections, missing fuses, shotty workmanship. I hope you can get some resolve and get the confidence back in the bike....
  15. Lynn, I would be interested in having the FJR rearend that I have done also. I'll shoot you a PM and we can figure it out.
  16. Oh Dont tell him that...it only swells his ego!
  17. No I wont Walt, I actually have to work atleast half a day on Saturday as it's just going crazy here.
  18. Gonna have to be on the weekend Dana, my work is crazy during the week. Either Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning as it's Mothers day this weekend. I'll let you know Doodle, we'll have a good ole time here in Texas!! and yes you definitely need guidance

  23. Vic, Jack sent me the address to the skyline and the c/o person, I'll get it mailed off in a few days
  24. Unfortunately they dont outweigh me
  25. Many of the members will use EBC HH pads, they are sintered and give a bit more biting performance. I too dont find the front brakes terrible with the right pads and deciding to get into the handle. The lines are 11 years old on your bike and may be deteriorated a bit, hard to say, also something to consider is if there has been regular maintenance done to the brake fluid, and braking system. You might want to swap out the pads, and put a new set on for a starting point for your maintenance schedule
