  1. Looks like it would hold a bunch of pygmys. Sylvester who says that BoomerCPO would gladly furnish them.
  2. Ah oh, here we go again!
  3. How will you know?
  4. And he has the Vmax rear end. It is a screamer and looks bone stock.
  5. After 107 years, HD is talking of leaving Milwaukee. www.yahoo.com/_ylt=AtCUU4UJ_XcSsigw0gt8BlSbvZx4;_ylu=X3oDMTJwcjU1dGNpBGNwb3MDNQRlZAMxBGcDY2QzOTA0MzNjYmExMmMwOTk5OTU1NTkyYzdiZjAyZmEEaW50bAN1cwRzZWMDaW5fbmV3cwRzbGsDbndzLXRpdGxlBHRlc3QDNzAx
  6. I for one have been embarrassed by this post and I have no problem stating it. So today in an effort to calm my embarrassment... I went to the garage and bled my brake and clutch lines! There I feel better now.
  7. You might try a Throttle Boss. It works great and doesn't require the thumb.
  8. I leave my passenger on the bike, and secure the rear straps to her. Then I secure the front around the handle bars with soft cushions and I have a Wheel Dock to lock the front. This works great and when I get to my destination, my wife doesn't speak to me for the entire time.
  9. Sixty four last April, began riding doodle bugs in 1957 and bought a Cushman open console in 1959 (don't tell my mother). I have been riding ever since with no more than 4-6 months without a bike at the most. Bought my '02 RSMV new in 2001 and have over 130,000 miles on it without issue until now. My CB won't turn on.
  10. OK, I got 24 for 35. I had to guess on anything past 1985 except for the Beetle. The old cars were easy especially the 59 Caddy.
  11. I always had two dogs also, with three or four playmate dogs to keep the happy.
  12. Well if you put it that way, it seems ok with me. I retired so I don't have to put up with boredom.
  13. In my humble opinion, WHO GIVES A HOOT? What difference does 3 hp really mean. If you dyno test the beasts they come in way shy of 97/98 HP. If you had a true 101 HP engine and hooked it up to the current RSV/RSTD it would probably run about the same as the current models.
  14. I checked, cleaned, greased all five front connectors and the two rear connectors on three different occassions and the CB still won't turn on with the front remote controller. I checked the controller on another Venture and it works perfectly. I removed the CB and found no user friendly options. I removed the amplifier and re-attached it and checked grounding. Soooo I buttoned up the bike and said that I can live without the CB. I have no more ways of checking it out. If anyone has additional thoughts please let me know.
  15. Could it be a rate exchange? :rotfl::rotfl: They have smaller horses in Canada so it takes more of them to pull the load! :whistling:
  16. I tuly believe that if you feel the HD lineup has the machine for you, then you need to buy it. I have owned many over my fifty+ years of riding and for the most part they served me well.
  17. I make a lot of saw dust myself, and you need to take care of yourself until you heal.
  18. No sir, you are wrong. My 02 RSMV with 130,000+ miles has never had a problem. Normal service and that has been all. My 2000 HD Ultra Classic broke down 5 times in 9,000 miles. Which would you rather ride cross country? I have an issue with the CB radio right now but I may fix it or I may forget it.
  19. The Road Glide is and always has been a far superior handling motorcycle to the Electra Glide Ultra. I had an Ultra Classic and road a friends Road Glide and it was way better handling. The front end steering is very light and quick.
  20. Makes you want to cry. Where did all this politcal correctness begin? And when will it end? I left the city and moved to the country to get away for it. It has been great but sometimes I have to go back into the city for business and I hate it.
  21. Google Harrison Specialties LLC, they have the electronic digital flashers. Your self canceling features will not work with them.
  22. I took my controller over to a friend who was installing new speakers in his 06 RSV. I plugged it into his connection and it worked just fine. So after cleaning all the contacts (five in front and two in back) again, I will be taking the tank off and chasing the audio wires. After that I have nothing left but the CB unit. I will put the bike back together since I am getting my new re-uphostered leather seats back on Friday (I will post pictures). Does anyone have a spare CB that is good that would be willing to sell to me OR ship to me for a trial and I will ship back and pay all shipping costs? By the way, the 40 watt J&M speakers he installed sound great. Better bass and no distortion at high volume.
  23. Knock on wood, I have had no problem with my woodworking. Have cut myself to the bone with a utility knife more than once but no power tools have got me...yet.
  24. Thanks for all the help. I have the contoller loose and am taking it to a friends tomorrow to test it. I have checked the CB and the ground. Cleaned all the pin connectors front and back and added di-electric grease. If the controller works on friends Venture then the CB is suspect. If it doesn't I will bring his to my shop and see if that works. For you information a new controller is $785.00 from Yamaha. I tried Pinwall without success.
