Put a 150/80r/16 Avon Cobra on frount, with the kumho on back, you won't regret it. If you will check the posts on the darkside, there are several running this combo. It has the grip to match the radial on back, ride is great and all of the handling problems are gone. I am one that beleives if you put a radial on back, then put a radial on frount. The Cobra on the frount of my bike now has 3500 miles on it, and still looks new. The cobra is going to run you, more $160 bucks, but its worth it, I have been running car tires on the back for years, put the first one on my Valkyrie back in 2001 and have never considered going back. But I have always, run a radial with a radial. My first venture had an dunlop on frount, second had pirelli, and the 2004 had bridgestone when I went to the radial CT on back, none of them handled properly to me, until I put a radial on frount. Take my word for it, go with the Cobra. You can get one from bikebandit.com for $164 and 7.95 shipping, with 10% discount if you are an AMA member. Gregg

I have dropped down to 32 psi, and like it better, rides better and I like it better in the curves, feels like its really hooked up. I like the kumho, but actually Mickey's bike( my old 2000) rides smoother, it has the nexum on it, the tire is softer so this would account for a smoother ride. Gregg

My headlight goes off when the starter switch is engaged. On my 2004 RSV. I thought they all did after 92, or most all honda's do anyway. Gregg

The paste you are refering to is called Murphy lube, comes in a green and white bucket with red lettering. As a friend of mine, who owns a tire shop says, its slicker than snot. Gregg

If you lean anymore than that, your down. Gregg

Drilling Stock Mufflers

The way on the second gen, take a dremal tool with a cut off wheel, go up the output in of the muffler approx 1 1/2 inch and cut the tube all the way around, then push the tube to the side, that's it. sounds great and you can't tell the exhaust has been modified. Gregg -

Well I would say you were disowned but under the circumstances I think we should let you slide by. congrats Gregg

Ted Polish your rim at the bead lock, use some fine steel wool and water. Then one of the tire dearlers should have some murphy lube, rub a thin coat on tire and wheel. Gregg

Saw serveral sport bikes with extended swing arms with wide car tires on the in daytona at biketoberfest, did not talk to any of them. One came through main looked like a 50 series tire, very wide. Gregg

Check with bikebandit.com they have most brands at good prices, and if you are a ama member you 10%, their shipping is cheap too. every thing I have ordered from them has arrived within 2 to 3 days. Gregg

I think I just keep waving my usual way, hand out to the left, if they wave back OK, if they don't OK. I have learned over the past week in daytona, some of all riders wave back and some don't. but I WAVE AT ALL. Gregg
-
I'm easily confused too Annie, was hoping for a simple answer. Gregg

In a post someone talked about the cool wave and the new nerdy wave. I must be dumb on this one, some explain the waves to me, so I know which one I using. I just hold my hand out to the side. Gregg

What about them sport touring riders what's up with them, Sorry couldn't resist, I tried but just couldn't. actually now that I think about it most of them wave back, when I wave at them. and the group we talked with on the way to Daytona were a very friendly group. So they must be OK. Gregg:nanner:

Have always had the best luck with the factory Yuasa batteries, my 97 Valkyrie and Karren 96 magna, have only had one battery each. I sold them to family or friends so I know about them. The pervious owner put a different brand in my RSV, but I will change it back at the first sign of a weak start. In the past I bought other brands thinking they were cheaper, but they onlt seemed to last a year or two and then you had to buy another one. Put a Yuasa in and forget it for about five or six years. I don't mind stickers on helmets, as long as they are clean in content, I agree with bill, most of them are nasty, distasteful and I would not want my wife of daughters refered to that way. I absolutely hate the b---h term, that's a female dog, why would any woman allow anyone to refer to her as a dog. I am sure that my wife would rip a tee shirt off of me that said anything about the b. and I would expect her to. Now as far a dress, lets see when I riding I wear blue jeans, tee shirt, tennis shoes, when fishing I wear tennis shoes, tee shirt and bluejeans, when working in the yard I perfer tennis shoes, bluejeans and a tee shirt. when sitting on the couch watching TV I take the tennis shoes off. Gee the thread was fun Gregg

sounds like a plan to me. be careful.

I was ridding behind my wife on her road star, she has bridgestone mc tires, the rear tire has worn flat in the middle. The thing I noticed is the fact that when she leans the bike in a curve, the tread lifts off the pavement, and there is very little tire contact with the pavement. So I began to closely watch all the bikes I was following around daytona. What I saw was the same, when you lean a bike, even with the MC tire gound contact is reduced, some more than others. It appears to me, that the CT on the back of my venture maintains more ground contact than the motorcycle tire. Just an observation Gregg

The cooper classic I tried to mount blew at 85 lbs. No problem with the kumho, used straight murphy lube and it seated easily. Gregg

I talked with Des at the daytona store about the Ultimate seat for the RSV, He stated he had thought about making a seat cover with pad we could place on our stock seat pan. he said this would keep the cost down, because the tooling for a seat pan was the big expense. I described the problems I have with the pillow top and the reg venture seat, he looked and mine and could see what needed to be changed. He remembers me well I bought one of his first seats for the valkyrie. My wife tried one on her Road Star but it did not lower her any, which is what she was after. The ultimates are the most comfortable seats I have ever ridden, high dollar but worth it. If you are interrested, email Des at www.ultimateseats.ca with enough intrest I think he will produce us a seat, he said he was begining to se more Ventures, and thought maybe there is a market for an Ultimate for the RSV. My brother sat on the Goldwing seat and said it was awsome. I told him as soon as he got the first one made, its mine. Gregg
