Motorkote comments and tracking??

If it does not mix with the oil, then its in the sump, that means it gets picked up and circulated through the engine first before the oil. Reminds me of water its goes to the bottom too. Is there anyone who has 20,000 or more miles using this product. I know you can put saw dust in a rear end and it will quiet a whining rear end, it just won't run very long. If there is someone has a lot miles using this stuff I try it. -
I looked but have not found a thread about this. My 04 RSV has started running rough at speed only, idles smooth, and rough is intermediate no all the time. I first noticed it at 11,000 miles, at 75 to 80 mph the bike begins to have a rough vibration. Thought it was tires at first, but then realized it was engine, ran bike up to 90 and pulled clutch in and bike was rolling smooth. Went home and parked bike, the wife said lets ride to Valdosta and eat, got back on and bike was as smooth as ever. On the way bike was rough again, but half way back it just smoothed out. I am going to change plugs tommorrow and put some sea foam in the tank. Any other suggestions Gregg

The cobra is smaller than the stock brickstone, even though they are both 150/80/16, the avon however is a 150/80R/16 radial, paired with the kumho the ride is just perfection, smooth and I can not believe anything could handle better. Look at my post titled Cobra mounted. I put pictures of the avon beside the brickstone. It is a little wider than the 130 but not much, compared to the one on David's rsv. Freedom of the Road for all. Gregg PS. I am currently running 36PSI in the corba on frount and 32 in the Kumho on back. I ride single most of the time. When ridding 2 up I increase the back to 36 PSI.

This is the second RSV I have had a cobra, I had put one on my 2000 with a nexum on back, but sold it right afterward I new it handled good but didn't get to ride it much before Micky bought it. Put some high speed milege on the 2004 today. My mother who is 84 just had a hip replaced 2 weeks ago, called me and told me she fell so I went from my house to hers about 25 miles up the interstate at 100 mph. Handled great, smooth as silk. I really believe the cobra and kumho is the perfect combination. I know some are running back tires reversed on the frount, is that motorcycle tires are directional for 2 reasons, one is tread on some, but mainly, the belts in the tires are designed to run one direction only. Have not heard of anyone having any problems but I would be concerned the belts shifting after the tire has couple thousand miles on them. Gregg

How about the Charlie Horse bar and grill, a little over a mile north of main street on A1A for a M&E. Gregg

Finally got the brickstone off and the cobra mounted on frount. Avon Cobra 150/80R/16 Radial Going from the brick to the cobra radial, improved ride and handling, I knew the ride would be much better, but I did not realize that the handling would be so drastically improved. The brickstone had plenty of tread but rode like a brick, and apparently made the bike handle bad. Road to my Dr. appointment today up I-75 and was very happy, rides and handles like my 2000 RSV did, but without the chrip. The cobra is the perfect mate for the kumho on back. Trust me the cobra is the frount tire for the darkside, its the right size and its a frount radial not a rear running backward. Tire came from bikebandit order Sunday evening before and went to work, got it tuesday. tire was 154.95 plus 7.95 shipping, tire dealer in town put in on the rim $10. Gregg

I see 2 ways to look at this problem, one trade bikes, which all honesty none are perfect, the harley's shake themselves apart at the redlights, which I hate, much rather tollerate the chirp,( and my 2000 had the loudest chirp of any that I know of, at 65 mph you could not hear the radio at full volume.) the 2004 I now own does have some chirp if you listen closely with the radio off and are at 52 mph and lean over to the right side on a quiet road way with a shorty helmet you can hear a very low sound. But I rode the 2000 until I decided I wanted a white bike, and did not want to take the time to paint the red one. Ok back to the point, any bike you buy will have something that you don't like, for me the venture has the most I do like. The rep at yamaha has the wrong attitude and did not handle this situation properly. Try going to someone higher up at yamaha, or maybe try a different dealer for help. Don't give up, that is what they want you to do. Gregg

I'VE been running lucas in mine for years, no problems. But your right a premium oil alone, with reg oil and filter, changes should give long engine life. I run lucas because it quiets the trans, but I suspect that those that have added lucas and then the clutch fails is because the clutch was about to fail anyway. My valkyrie has had lucas in it since the second oil change, with no problems, but I run synthetic lucas and syn oil. Dino lucas and oil may have a different outcome. Gregg

I talked with Steve from lumber city in ga, his 99 has 239,000 miles on it, the ais was removed at 600 miles, and mufflers changed, bike has had delo 400 15-40 oil since first oil change, the motor has never been worked on, no wenching has been on his bike except to change oil every 7500 miles, air filters serviced every 25000 miles, 3 sets of plugs. he said he has never adjusted carbs, valves or anything else on his bike. Sounded like it was running perfect to me. I beleive I can get mine to 300,000, I change oil every 5000. Gregg

prayer sent, make sure she takes the coumadin as ordered, and does not miss her Dr's appointments, until the dose is ajusted to her body chem. which takes time with some individuals. This can be a very serious situation, but can be resolved if properly treated. By the was I am ICU RN, and we deal with this daily. Hope for a quick recovery Gregg and Karren
