  1. this sounds like you are in bad need of a carb sync .
  2. it sounds like a bad ground . check fuel sender under seat to see if wire is grounded. sometimes wires can brake on the inside and look good on the outside.turn on ing. watch gauge while wiggling wires if it jumps around you have a bad connection my 86 did the same thing . ground wire was broken inside
  3. hot diggity that is nice !!!. and i am loven da blue !
  4. this spring i went for skydocs 17s r1 caliper and line up grades. the calipers had been fully redone and also new pads . with stainless steel lines .top grade stuff. the diskes had been replaced the year before with stainless ones from ( braking) co. i also delinked them . feed back at the lever and foot is a vast improvement. i wish i had done it long ago! this site is lucky to have Earl involved with us!. he has the right stuff. at a good price and will go out of his way to help. thanks Earl.

  17. dont do it guys !! it will be incorect info . trust an old yamaha mech.
  18. the dip stick you are looking at is NOT for any venture !! it is for all xs 1100s you cant check the mid gear lube with it as it is lubed from engine oil and isnt needed to check final drive . the oil level should be up to the threads on the fill plug when on the main stand. it is not part of the standerd tool kit for that bike. give it a toss !.
