    OK folks, when I finally got around to checking my email yesterday afternoon, I had 997 emails waiting. Then when I started trying to check them, I had a problem with Outlook Express "Not Responding" and fought with it until 2:00 this morning and finally went to bed. I then had to get on the road because I have meetings in Grand Rapids, MI this week. I'm now at the hotel in Michigan. I ended up having to delete all my mail folders to get things working again. I tried to save all the ones that were specific emails to me but may have missed a few. Anyway, I'm all caught up now but if you sent me an email or posted something specifically to my attention, please let me know if you did not get a response because I likely didn't see it. Sorry about the problem. Now hopefully tonight I can get back to updating the profiles of all you who have sent in your dues. I really need to get that job finished and then start make the access changes to the forum.

    Folks, I'm sorry but I just don't have the energy right now to go through all the post about Maintenance Day. Will try to do it tomorrow night when I get to my hotel. I do want to thank all who attended though. It was our true pleasure to host this even again this year and we had a fantastic time. Not sure if anybody got a count or not. I heard numbers as high at 130 bikes and probably close to 200 people at one time or another. I just know that how EVER many it was...they used a LOT of toilet paper. The only folks left here now are GaryN and Mary and they will be pulling out tomorrow morning. What a great bunch this is. I'm truly humbled by the kindness and genuine goodness of our members here. For those of you who have never made this event or one of our many others, you have no idea what you are missing. Good Night all.

    I'm honestly never seen that one but it looks like a good setup. I wish I could recommend it or not but haven't seen any reports of it here.

    Really sorry to hear this news. I always worry until everybody gets home after any of our events. Sounds like you handled the situation well and I'm happy to hear that you are both safe.

    You will get different opinions but I use one can per full tank of gas about twice a year.

    OK..I'm sorry but they are correct. I went out and looked at my new ones but didn't look at the old ones and they are the same as yours. Here is a picture that should help.

    I waited to respond because I just didn't want to jump in and make a fast decision. After sleeping on it though, I'm thinking that we should go with channel 29.

    That's a bit strange. I wonder if they changed them at some point? The holes on the new ones are the same as my '99 RSV. Your old ones are different than mine.

    I have the modulator and really like it. Mine works on high beam only so if I want to turn it off, I just switch to low beam.

    hmmm......they must have changed them. The extra holes on my '99 had the same nuts as the other holes.

    Many of us have switched to the Firestick antennas. MUCH cheaper and better. By the way, the antennas on the '99 models did not fold.

    Annie, It is very simply. Open the trunk and remove the rubber mat in the bottom and you'll see the 4 screws that bolt the trunk to the bracket. Remove those 4 screws and slide the trunk back about an inch or so and you'll find another set of holes.

    Simple but a bit time consuming. You have to split the fairing and then remove the gas tank to route the wires. Remove seats to make rear connections. Not hard to do but takes maybe an hour or so tops.

    I am sorry to report that as of June 1st, the discount from Motorcycle Superstore has been discontinued. I know that many of you had used it and hopefully there will be something else in place soon. Here is the notice that I received from them today. Hi Don, Due to the manufacturers MAP policy (minimum advertised price) we are no longer allowed to offer general group discounts. However, there are a few brands and exclusive items that are separate from the MAP policy. So yes, I will be sending you a new sort of code, but it will be item and/or specific, which unfortunately isn’t as enticing as a general coupon, but I will do my best to make the offer as enticing as possible.     Nobody specific to check in with. Just get there and then let me or Kent (V7Goose) or Brad on ONE of us know. It's pretty informal. We are going to try and be a bit more organized this year. There will be a donation can for food and whatever else you wish to donate for.

    It is very simply. It is possible to pull the wheel without pulling the brakes but much easier to just pull the calipers, only two bolts on each side. Makes it much easier to get the wheel back on and also easier to inspect the pads.

    You are correct though. Most new bikes run LEAN from the factory due to the EPA requirements, NOT rich.

    For the Bushtec, you can get a hitch directly from Bushtec or you can buy just the pin from them and use it on any hitch.

    I absolutely LOVE the Bushtec trailers. I think they are the best made. The prices are high but in line with other upper end trailers. To each his own. I know that some folks would never pay that much for a trailer but for others, it is worth the money to them. That being said, we MAY be giving away a different brand at the Rally this year. Bushtec has changed ownership and are not offering the same deal for club's as they have in the past. I am probably going to be looking at some other brands this year. Not sure yet which way we will go.
