Here are the options for how the threads are marked read. I have it set to the first option. I did change it once, long ago, and people didn't seem to like the way it worked. The session timeout is set at 1800 minutes. So, if you are logged into the forum for more than 1800 minutes before leaving, all posts will be marked as read when you leave. Inactivity/Cookie Based - once a user has been inactive for a certain amount of time (the value of the session timeout option) all threads and forums are considered read. Individual threads are marked as read within a session via cookies. This option is how all versions of vBulletin before 3.5 functioned. Database (no automatic forum marking) - this option uses the database to store thread and forum read times. This allows accurate read markers to be kept indefinitely. However, in order for a forum to be marked read when all threads are read, the user must view the list of threads for that forum. This option is more space and processor intensive than inactivity-based marking. Database (automatic forum marking) - this option is the same as a previous option, but forums are automatically marked as read when the last new thread is read. This is the most usable option for end users, but most processor intensive.

Happy New Year to all. Eileen and I are in Gatlinburg along with Bob and Becky Dakin, we watched the ball drop Downtown last night and enjoyed the fireworks. It was fun but I think they should move it to around 9;00.

My Father took a bad fall
Freebird replied to Flyinfool's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
I'm so sorry to hear this latest news. The fact that he had managed to remain in good health until this fall makes it even harder to accept. He, as well as you and the rest of the family will remain in our prayers. -
I've got Windows 7 and have Outlook 2010. The Outlook came with Microsoft Office though. I think it has been that way for a long time now.

Tom, I know it makes you feel better to know that I'm suffering also. It's just starting here.

Yes, it can get confusing. I was actually in Canal Winchester last Thursday. I was staying in Pickerington and drove over to Canal Winchester to see a customer.

It's still a little confusing. There is also a Winchester in Jackson county and one in Adams County...in addition to Canal Winchester.

A blonde where I work, got a Thermos for Christmas.

LOL...I heard that long ago but it is still funny. Another one was the guy who was puzzled by the entire concept. He said...I know that it will keep things hot. I also know that it will keep things cold. Then with a look that showed that he was contemplating it deeply...he asked....but HOW DOES IT KNOW WHICH TO DO? -
Cool. I think I've got pins from every VTS International Rally up till a few years ago. I think I also have every magazine that they ever published. Well...the magazines actually belong to Rick Butler and I assume that he will want them back someday.

I've not seen that. How about it folks, are there more of you seeing this issue?

Are you kidding? I'm older and wiser now. I've learned to never admit NOTHING.

Well, my wonderful wife meant well but it's just not going to work out. I have been wanting a fishing boat for a couple of years. She knew that I had looked at a used Lund a few months ago but it was already sold. She had Dylan find another Lund on Craigslist and decided it was the one for me. She had Dylan print it out and they made sure that it was still available. They wrapped the printed ad and gave it to me with instructions that I was to pick it up today. Now here's the issue. It is a very nice boat and the price is right. BUT...it is a 21' Sport Cabin aluminum boat with a 4.3 I/O engine. It's on a dual axle trailer with electric brakes. Now you all tell me how the heck I'm going to pull that with a 2011 4 cylinder Kia Sorento? So, I'm going to let that one go. All I really wanted was about a 17' deep V fishing boat with a nice 50-90 HP outboard. THAT I could pull. So if any of you know of a nice little used deep V aluminum. Lund, Sylvan, Mirrocraft...something along those lines...let me know.

I'm a fan of Norton also. I've heard others complain about excessive overhead and etc. but I've never had a problem with it. I've been using Norton for more than 20 years and it has always done a great job for me. The first thing I do when I get a new computer is to remove whatever other virus protection they shipped it with and install Norton.

I think they bill Coffee House as acoustic rock but I wouldn't call it rock at all. They play some good stuff though. The Bright is sort of light classic rock. They Highway is similar to Outlaw Country but with some older stuff thrown in the mix and not as much talking from the DJs.

Very nice. Now get out there and start working on that bike.

Yes, I have to admit that it really sounds good. There were NO inputs on the stock stereo to connect a satellite system,, Iphod,, etc. The only option would have been a FM modulator and I truly do not like those things. Also, even though the stock unit was supposed to be a good Infinity system, it left a lot to be desired. This Sony sounds 1000% better and not only does it have Sirius but is also IPod/Iphone compatible. As for stations, we have several that we like but our favorites are probably Coffee House and The Bridge and then The Highway or Outlaw Country. There are several others that we listen to from time to time though.

THAT segment? You didn't sleep through ALL the segments?

Some or you may have remembered that I bought my wife a new toy about 3 months ago. It is a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire. She loves the car but hated the stereo as, like me, she is spoiled by commercial free satellite radio. So yesterday I had a new Sony stereo installed with Sirius satellite radio. She is a very happy camper now. The problem is, the Crossfire is not exactly a winter car so it won't get a lot of use for a few months. I wanted something with a silver face to match the existing dash as close as possible. To get one in silver, I ended up having to go with a marine unit but I think it turned out pretty well and it sounds fantastic.
