  1. I have Decals, Small Patches and Flags. You will need to contact the other people to find out what they have.
  2. Decals are ordered, paid for and on the way. I should have them in 10 days and will get them right out to you. Please get your orders placed to help me defray the initial outlay of cash. See this thread for ordering information. I had to order quite a few to keep the price down to where it was so any of you who can order and pay now will be appreciated. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/venturerider-merchandise/39088-venturerider-domed-decals.html
  3. OK folks...I have ordered the decals. Please place your orders ASAP to help me recoup some of my money. Here is the thread on how to order. Production time is quoted as 10 days. As soon as I get them out, I will get them in the mail to you. You are probably looking at about 2 - 3 weeks for delivery to your mailbox. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/venturerider-merchandise/39088-venturerider-domed-decals.html
  4. Lewis, I'm not sure but you may have done them all wrong. I looked and you apparently didn't check the box to allow auction/bidding. They are all listed as "Best Offer".
  5. I've had two people ask me about the availability of the domed decals here: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/venturerider-merchandise/39088-venturerider-domed-decals.html I don not have any at this time. They are not cheap and I have to order a minimum number of them to get the best price. I have not ordered any because if there is no demand, I will end up sitting on the investment for a long time. So is there any interest? If so, I'll start taking orders and get them on the way but otherwise, will wait a while longer. Don
  6. Oberlin Inn MAY not be an option. Somebody usually calls and tries to get us a deal but here's the problem. MOST of it is torn down right now as they are building a new one. It is still open and has some rooms but probably not many.
  7. By the way, you say that you are not familiar with Torque to Yield bolts. Here is a decent explanation of what they are and why they should not be reused. Torque-to-yield fastener - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  8. I've been through that a couple of times in my life and all I did was flush the radiator after replacing the head gaskets. In my case though, I was getting oil in the coolant system, not water in the oil. I assume that you will have the heads checked for warpage? I would also be concerned with what caused it to blow a head gasket. All of our company vans are Dodge Caravans. We put about 150,000 miles on them and I've never heard of one having a blown head gasket. If something happened that caused it to overheat, there is a good chance that the heads will need to be machined.
  9. At any rate, it should be a good game next week. One of the earliest Cowboy games I remember was the Ice Bowl. Anybody else remember Walt Garrison trying to get into the end zone at the end? Cowboys lost but it was a great game. And yes, I am a Cowboy fan also. Have been for many years. Was born and raised about 15 miles from the home of Don Meredith.
  10. It wouldn't be the same without you. Going to put it on the VentureRider Calendar now.
  11. I would guess that price pays a big part in it. Plus maybe mounting. It would take more than just the fairing.
  12. Yes, Carl's is the week before. It is almost always the week before.
  13. MD is typically the week after MarCarl's meet so that is normal. Sorry, June 6th is out. I have a tradeshow in Indianapolis that weekend. Folks, it never works for everybody as much as I would like for it to. So....May 30th it is. Hope that MANY of you can make it.
  14. Oh cry me a river. It was a questionable call but Dallas outplayed them. Moving right along. Go Cowboys.
  15. I DO need to confirm that date with Eileen later today to make sure there are no conflicts. Will let you know for sure a bit later today.
  16. OK...how about May 30th? That is probably the best date and consistent with the past.
  17. LOL....OK....I'm slow but it's cold here and my brain is frozen.
  18. Just saw that Web Bike World had picked this as one of their products of the year. I've never even heard of it but I know there was a recent discussion here about the best action cameras. At a list price of $399.00, it had better be very good. Sena Prism Review - webBikeWorld
  19. I still honestly don't know what this is about. I have made no changes and don't see him listed as a mod or admin. Not that he would be a bad one, just haven't made any changes.
  20. What are you talking about?
  21. No, that's pretty much what would be called the home page. If you just come to venturerider.org, that is the landing page.
  22. Taking the bags off is so easy and quick that there is not reason not to. Just makes it easier. Also, the axle bolt torques to 110 ft.lbs. Hard to get a torque wrench on it without removing the bag and the muffler. Doesn't take long and just makes the entire job easier.
  23. They are right. Just use the spacers and they are perfect and work GREAT. I too had to go to the store and get material for spacers. Don't know why Sonic hasn't gotten that right but they springs are GREAT. Much better than Progressive for these bikes.
  24. Here is a post done by Rick Butler and he has done several of these. My and V7Goose did mine but I can't find my notes about it. The plastic tubing that Sonic supplied was grey shedule 50 PVC and is what just about everyone uses for preload spacers. If they only supplied one piece, it probably wasn't enough for both forks. You can go to Lowes or Home Depot and get some more, where it you really need longer spacers. Or I'm sure Rich will send you a couple of pieces if you need him to. Once you have set your fluid level (120-130mm from top) with the springs out and forks completely collapsed, you can extend the forks to where they stop and put the springs back in to measure the preload spacers. Measure the distance from the top of the springs to the top of the forks. Before you do this go ahead and drop 2 washers on top of the springs. This will allow for this thickness where you can take one out which will go on top of the spacer before you screw the cap in. At a minimum the spacer should come to the top of the fork tube. That way it will compress the springs by the thickness of the fork cap which is about 26mm. Sometimes I go a couple of mm more to get some extra preload for a heavy rider.
  25. It makes sense that you would. Almost everybody will. When I ran the tool to recalculate posts, it can only calculate posts that are on the forum now. I prune the forums from time to time. Especially areas like the watering hole so that posts older than "X" number of years are deleted. That is why it is important that people post technical information in the proper forums. Posts in the Watering Hole, Jokes, other such areas will be pruned at some point. Some good posts could end up getting deleted due to being posted in the wrong forum. I'm simply not going to take the time to go through thousands of posts in the watering hole to figure out which ones should be saved. It is simply done by date.
