OK...I just looked and see who the admins are. I guess we just need to talk to each of them and make sure that we are all on the same page.
-
Eck, Do you even know who the moderators are on Facebook? I have no idea. I was added as an admin when they started it but at this point, I don't even remember who started it. The first step would be to find out who the moderators there are. Then as already said, change the settings to that only certain people can approve requests and they should only do so after verifying here that they are supporting members. It will take a bit more time but it's the only way that I know to do it.

Now THAT is the smart way to do it.

Good Cheap Bike Jack?
Freebird replied to ChiefCass's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
A LOT of us have the Sears jack and mine has held up very well. If you keep your eyes open though, they often run it on sale. I think I paid 79.95 for mine and have seen them at that price or maybe slightly more on a number of occasions. -
I think it has been corrected now.

I think that the secret is to NOT block them but click "Ignore" or whatever it is. I'll have to look. Not 100% sure.

Try again.

I think it's OK now.

Tranny locked in neutrel

I will almost guarantee that is what you did. Been there and done that. Easy to do and it sounds exactly like that is what has happened. -
Appears that there is no way for it to work on the Ipad or Iphone. Sorry. The only option would be to set it up as you want it when you have access to a computer somewhere. Have no idea why not. I just tried it and confirmed what you are saying but don't know why.

Thank you and please know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers today as always.

Wonderful song and tribute to your son. It's hard to understand why some leave us so soon. Someday we will know.

I haven't reloaded in years but used to really enjoy it. I used a RockChucker press and dies. It did a good job. I loaded rifle and pistol ammo. You add as you go but this is basically what I started with. Amazon.com : RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Master Reloading Kit, Green : Gunsmithing Tools And Accessories : Sports & Outdoors

The only thing I can think of that I have not added back to the forum is the countdown page. It was the page that counted down the days until various rallies and etc. I think that those events get enough attention here and on the calendar that the countdown page was pretty much just a novelty. What are your opinions? Is it something that any of you really miss?

I made one change to the favorites folks. They were collapsed by default. Now you should be able to expand any of the groups, most likely your favorites and that tab should remain open when you get ready to reply to another post. It will no longer collapse by default.

No, there is no other way that I know of. I'm out of town but when I get home later this evening I will use my wife's iPad to see if there is a way to do it. If not, you will just have to find access to a computer and then log in from it and select your smilies. Then they should be there for you.

Randy are you talking about here? I haven't heard of any IE issues. Otherwise, you will have to be a bit more specific. Of course the obvious answer is to stop using IE if you are having that many problems with it. It's amazing that only 9.8% of people still use IE with Chrome being number one and Firefox number Two. http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp

Yesterday I installed a modification that allowed me to categorize our smilies making them easier to find and also allows you to save your 20 most used smilies in your own "My Favorites". We had something similar on the old site and several people had requested that it be brought back. Installing this modification though created a conflict with the bottom navigation bar that others had requested. This was a navigation bar at the bottom of the page that prevented you from having to scroll all the back to the top of a thread. After installing the smilies mod, I spent WAY too long trying to figure out why it wouldn't work properly before finding that the bottom navbar was causing the issue. I then spent WAY too long trying to figure out how to modify the navbar mod so that it would work with the smilie mod. I failed. They will just not co-exist together. I had to decide which was the more useful modification and decided that the smilie modification was probably most useful. I still knew though that some people find it a real bother to have scroll back to the top after reading the last post of a thread. So.....I did a simple modification that adds only buttons to get back to the top of the thread that you are reading or back to the list of threads in the forum that you are in. At the bottom of the last post in a thread is a "quick navigation" drop down menu. You will now find two buttons beside it. One says "GO" and the other says "Top". If you click on the "GO" button, it will take you back the top of the forum that you are in with a list of all the threads. If you click on the "Top" button, it will take you back to the first post in the thread that you are reading. There are other links in the drop down menu. Back to forum home, other forums, etc. but those two are just click and go so you don't have to click on and then scroll down in the drop down menu. I think that this accomplishes what you wanted with the bottom navigation bar.

Tire life and conditions of age
Freebird replied to Brenner's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I've had no other report about quick reply not working. I use it about 99% of the time. If you continue to have a problem, post something in the bug reports with details of your browser and etc. and I'll take a look. -
The company that I work for manufacturers dimensional sign letters and plaques. We offer products from a lot of different materials including injection molded, formed plastic, flat cut metals and cast metals. We often had requests for a letter than looks rusted. It actually makes for a pretty sign for the right "rustic" type decor. We offer a cut metal letter from Cor Ten steel and continues to rust over time. The problem is that because it continues to rust, it will eventually streak the wall that it is mounted on Some people actually want that. Then we came up with a powder coat finish that looks like rust but doesn't actually rust or streak the walls. It has been very popular.

Well I found out what was causing the double line of the smilie boxes under quick reply and got it corrected. Now the problem is that it was the bottom navbar that I had added that was causing a conflict so I'll have to figure out another way to do that. Will try to do that tomorrow but for now.....it's bedtime.

That's right...I give you one thing and you ask for something else..... There's just no pleasing some people. LOL....just kidding. Give me a few days. I'll see what I can come up with. Next thing you'll be wanting is new music in the chat room. I changed the songs just a couple of years ago.
