My Carbtune came with plastic inserts to restrict the airflow so you dont get the bouncing, just cut the rubber tubes and insert . Brian- 11 replies

I am thinking this guy is runnin a scam or his is severely misinformed. This is a funny looking Road Star with a side car, and then he calls it a venture farther down in the ad. http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-motorcycles-touring-1986-Yamaha-Road-Star-W0QQAdIdZ245878539 Brian

We got the higher speed limits out west too, and no one follows those either.... Brian -

I am usually running at 125 km/hr according to my gps and speedo shows about 122 km/h, just low enough to get a look from the radar guys but not enough for a ticket. i have noticed my gas consumption drops to around low 30mpg doing that speed. Brian -

Use glycol in the slab for the same reasons u use it in your bike or car, to stop corrosion and in case of a heat failure in the home, it wont freeze. If those pipes corrode or plug inside the slab its a fairly major job to fix... Around here if its -30 and your furnace quits things start to cool off real quickly, at least the glycol buys you some time before bad stuff like freezing starts to happen. Brian

Its ok Eck, we will make you an honourary Canuck Brian

Is there anyone in Athelstane, WI that can look at a 99 Venture for me? The fellow selling it seems to have issues getting pics uploaded, plus there is no substitute for someone to actually get there and have a look. We have a few days until the fellow gets back in town for Christmas, so theres no rush. Brian

I saw that too and forgot to bid on it..glad someone deserving of a good deal got it! Brian

I agree, most people west of Ontario could care less what happens from the Ontario/Manitoba border east. We have far more in common with, and pay more attention to the western US than to Eastern Canada. Brian OOps that wasnt sposed to be political....

Ive had a couple that used a tube or I-channel that the chain or belt connector slid back and forth on. Also the bushing on the side or bottom of the unit where the pulley is running on needs some light oil as well. All that stuff with grease on just gets sticky, not slippery at -30 or below. Brian
